Finally have some progress to report lol I finished The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood for a book I haven't read since high school. It was as great as I remember but also kind of scary given that it seems to be a logical sequence of events following from a Trump victory. Yikes.

It Is great I'm looking forward to starting the Lunar Chronicles since so many seem to be using them!

Happy Pi day everyone! ;) I hope we all had a good week. I made some progress but no finishes to report!

Oops sorry it's late again! I started two books this week but no finishes. I started my book I haven't read since hs (the Handmaid's Tale) and House Rules by Jodi Picoult, not sure where I'll put it. How's everyone else's progress?

I love charlottes web :)

Forgot the update yesterday! I don't have any progress to report unfortunately. Hope the rest of you did better!

Yea it is, I mean she talks about her mom and stepdad getting all of them in when she was around 11 and then growing up in the church. Then later how she started to think things were changing and was uneasy about things then her eventual break from the church. It was really neat and an easy read imo.

This week I read Troublemaker by Leah Remini for my book written by a celebrity. I really enjoyed it, thought it was funny and thought provoking with a few surprises. This puts me at 6 for my challenge, not bad. Still slow going and under the weather but it's turning a bit.
How's everyone else doing overall? For this past week? Anything highly recommended?

I just finished troublemaker by Leah remini and I really enjoyed it!

I finished Food: A Love Story by Jim Gaffigan for a book written by a comedian. It was good, not as good as Dad is Fat but funny.
Where is everyone else this week?

Thanks Clare, I'm hoping to get some reading done this weekend when hubby is home. That series sounds interesting :) I loved inside the obriens!

I'm still really sick and just have zero attention span so have really lagged behind :( how's everyone else doing this week?

I have been sick so haven't had the energy to do anything much. I got a bit of progress on a couple of books but nothing finished this week. Hope the rest of you fared better than I did!

Wild the movie was boring! They cut all of her struggles and introspection not to mention 90% of the encounters she had on the trail. I'll never understand that! She nearly got assaulted at one point, it would have made a riveting scene in the movie.

Mandy, I had heard bad things about it too so I went in prepared. I did like it for what it was, but if I'd been expecting what I initially thought it would be then I likely wouldn't have. It was hard to assimilate the changes in Atticus' character but that was kind of the point of the book.

I had a better week, I finished Go Set a Watchman and am getting further into Food: a Love Story. Please everyone feel free to start discussions about prompts, books, anything really! I hope everyone is doing well.

That's great :) not too late at all! I didn't join the 2015 group until September lol

In case anyone is interested, Divergent (the first book) is on bookbub for 1.99.

Week 3! How are people doing? I finished a book whose protagonist has my occupation (the laundry's cold and the beer's folded; stay at home mom) and a graphic novel (dayblack). I also started go set a watchman (book you meant to read in 2015) and food: a love story (book written by a comedian.

Another finished book that fits a prompt I didn't initially choose lol Paige Kellerman's The Beer's Folded and the Laundry's Cold. Awesome book :)
