158858 WOAH! If you like love triangle books and are interested in graduating to Advanced Geometry and, this book goes way beyond the triangle.

And, some of the stuff that happens to the people caught in the wake of Bathsheba and her suitors is pretty SAVAGE!

158858 So far, I am really enjoying the slight sarcasm/cynicism in the descriptions. He sounds like me trying to be funny when I describe things to my friends and family.

158858 Finished chapter 1 and nary a Quasimodo in sight. I think this might be a "set the mood" chapter.

158858 I am planning to do this one on audio. The version I will be listening to is the same version they have on Audible and seems to be a good narration.

158858 I just realized I have been neglecting my book discussion!

Part Four is covering Reconstruction in Atlanta.

I have to say, half the time Scarlett is pretty bad ass for standing up and taking charge when women at the time usually stayed at home and kept quiet.

The other half of the time, Scarlett is spreading her bitchy behavior all over Georgia and I find myself shaking my head.

In both cases, the book is very entertaining!

158858 I will not be joining in on this one. I read it a couple of years ago and I didn't care for it. When I told my wife this, she kinda freaked out wondering how that is possible!? I dunno, I just thought it was too silly or something . . .

158858 I enjoyed this book - it was an interesting story and gave me an interesting perspective on life in post-Civil War South
