158858 Interesting coincidence . . .

A preview for a movie just came on TV and I thought to myself "huh, this looks a lot like The Turn of The Screw". At the end, it said the name was The Turning - ah ha! Turn . . . Turning . . . So I looked it up. And, it is a modern day retelling on The Turn of the Screw! Suddenly this book is everywhere!

Oh! I just discovered that I can easily get this on audio, too. Maybe I will do it on audio instead.

158858 Alas - this one is now a 2020 book for me, too . . . and, I have to get started on the next big read! *sigh* so much pressure!

158858 This is starting off with a similar feel to Rebecca or The Haunting of Hill House

Really, 260!? Seemed much lower, but okay! :)

To quote one of my favorite movie quotes "When I am wrong, I say I am wrong" - The Dad in Dirty Dancing

Up to 22 now - I swear I read some of the ones I just counted on this list in the past year, but maybe not since I only counted one more (or, I did a horrible job counting last year!)

I only count 44 now - I cannot believe only one new one after a whole year!"

51 1/2 (Not sure I will finish The Once And Future King this year. Up from 44 - I did good on this list this year!

158858 I got 105 - once you get to the last few pages of the checklist I swear they are just making books up!

Also, one major complaint I have with this list is that there are so few modern must reads. Out of the whole list, I bet there are not even 100 from the past 40 years. There should be much more representation from the recent era (IMO).

158858 Wow - what a list! I am going through it now - I am noticing some duplicates . . .

Now at the end of 2018 - up to 37"

Now up to 40 - if I just do 3 to 5 a year, this is gonna take a while!

Only up to 34 - two more in one year is no so good!"

Wow- I am up to 46 this year - either I didn't count correctly last year (or this year) or I just had a very good reading year!

Awesome! I hope to knock a few more chapters out today, too!

Gonna have to follow this up with watching The Sword In The Stone on Disney+
