So loved Romey. Such a funny character. Can't believe he's allowed to carry a gun and arrest people when he's not even a police officer.

So far liking Samantha. Feel bad for her that she lost her job. But really she has to work probono in order to keep her health benefits.

Finished it finally. I'm so happy it worked out for her and she was able to get away from her parents. It's amazing how her parents owned a million dollar property yet choose to live on the streets. I too giving it 4 stars.

So glad that they all were able to get away from the parents. Even the little one was able to get away. That house they were living in was really bad.

Hoping to finish this today.

Finally finished this part. I kept remembering the Brady bunch episode where jan had that contraption on her head when they first made braces. Amazing how she made her own braces. But $1200 is kind of cheap for braces I think they are much more now.

Finally finished this part. It's awful how she has to live with garbage right in her yard. I don't know why they don't have a garbage removal? Bet it smells really bad.

still reading on page 157. Glad you liked it. It's between a 3 and 4 star for me so far.

On page 70. I'm really liking this the 2nd time around. Reminds me a lot of twilight.

Yup don't like Erma either. Horrible how she treated the children and then trying to molest her own grandchild sick totally sick.

I'm stuck on page 152. Will read more but started City of Bones and really enjoying it.

Okay this morning I read chapter 1. I think I am enjoying it more this time around. Will read more later today.

On page 129. That was intense when the dad was trying to stop drinking. But of course he went back to it. My dad was an alcoholic but luckily he was not a bad drunk.

I'm on page 100 now. Omg I'm so creeped out. I hate bugs and can't image having so many that they had to step on them. So gross. Not to mention the termites. I'm surprised they don't have lice too. Bugs give me the heevie Jeevies. Glad I am reading this in the day time.

Finally finished this portion. Feel so bad the kids are hungry and the dads paying woman for sex.

It was very scary when the mom was hanging out the window. I thought she was going to fall.

Haven't had much time to sit and read but did manage to read a few pages before dosing off to sleep.

Wow that ride in the uhall was outrageous. That would never happen in this day and age with the seatbelt laws.

I'm finally at page 42. I'm a bit behind. I'm trying to figure out when this story takes place. The parents got married in 1956. I'm assuming Jeannette was born soon after so maybe 1960 making her in her about 56? Now?

Some of these stories seem very far out there. Like when they were driving and she got flung out of the car? Well I guess no seatbelts as I didn't have them in the 70's.

Feel so bad for the kittens they killed. Her parents are very strange. Will read more tonight Have to rush to work now.

I only read 20 pages last night. I didn't know this was nonfiction until I looked it up. It's kind of strange that a 3 year old is cooking though? I am finding it like a child abuse as some of the things that is happening that I read so far doesn't seem right. But I am enjoying what I am reading so far. Will read more today to catch up.
