152301 1. Bookmark or a random piece of paper?
Bookmarks until I lose all of them and then everything can fit.

2. Can you stop reading anytime you want or do you have to stop at a certain page, chapter, part, etc.?
I prefer at the end of a chapter but I can stop anytime.

3. Can you read while listening to music/watching TV?
Music yes, TV no (when the TV is on, it's a movie or a tv show, so no point in reading at the same time).

4. One book at a time, or several at once?
Millions! With the challenge, I had around 6 books ongoing at the same time.

5. Books in a series or stand-alone books?
My main genres use series but a standalone is very welcome :)

6. Male or female main character? Heroes or villains?
Both (with a preference for females) and heroes.

7. E-books or physical books?
Ebooks, but for favorite authors/series it's paper.

8. Spend the day with your favorite author or spend the day with your favorite character?
Character!

9. Would you rather have your favorite book adapted as a movie or as a TV series?
I'm always enthusiastic about adaptation and often very disappointed, so: no, thank you.

10. Read first thing in the morning or just before bed?
Before bed and "one chapter more".

152301 Goldberry, the Saga volumes are all pretty good, so you'll probably enjoy the others too :)
Nov 30, 2015 09:04AM

152301 It's in my TBR, I remember liking the movie so I added it. The last time I checked it was difficult to find the book, but at some point I'd like to read it. Good to know you enjoyed it, I'm curious to see how you'll compare it with the movie :)

152301 I'm continuing the books I already started, hoping to finish them this week, if I can find time to read x__x
They are: Warm Bodies (re-read), The Fifth Season, Elven Star (re-read), The Providence of Fire, La sorcière de la rue Mouffetard (children re-read).

152301 1. How many books are on your TBR shelf?
583

2. Do you use any special organization tactics to keep your TBR shelf organized?
Yes, I've yearly to read shelves and to-read-next and next, plus book length (so if I want a short book...) and genres.

3. How do you determine which books from your TBR pile to read next?
They are on the "next" shelf :p I can't say why they end there, probably because I own them or I want to read them very quickly.

4. What book has been on your TBR shelf the longest?
Dragons of Autumn Twilight (added when I joined GR or something like this, in january 2013).

5. What is the most recent book you added to your TBR shelf?
The Last Policeman (someone liked it in my timeline and it looked interesting)

6. Show us a book on your TBR shelf just because it has a beautiful cover.
Argh. Ok, one recent:
Crow Moon by Anna McKerrow

7. Are there any books on your TBR shelf that you don't think you'll ever get around to reading?
Yes, some don't exist as ebooks and are not available as paper books, so I'll probably never read them.

8. Are there any yet-to-be published books on your TBR shelf that you're excited for?
Age of Myth, The Last Mortal Bond, The Remarkable Journey of Charlie Price, The Burning World

9. Are there any books on your TBR shelf that you added just because everyone else is reading it?
Cinder and some others.

Only one month left until the end of the challenge! We hope you're doing well with your challenge and that you succeeded to read all the books you wanted (even if you won't complete the 52, improving your reading time and discovering new books and authors is already something great).
Tell us what you are planning for next year in the poll:
https://www.goodreads.com/poll/show/1...
We're planning to do some polls and topics to close the challenge, they will be posted in December :)
152301 I haven't read this one, so I added it to my TBR :)

152301 I hope your books are ready :D
Nov 29, 2015 01:56AM

152301 I'm looking forward to your opinion. I wanted to throw the book by the window (but it was an ebook so I couldn't do it). I liked it when I was in high school, I probably read better books now :p

152301 Congrats! What books are your favorites? :)

152301 I tend to prefer books with good characterization but sometimes the atmosphere totally grabs me and this was the case for Uprooted. I love when I can't stop reading!

152301 Libérée, Délivréeeeeeee! (excuse-me, the lyrics for Let it Go from Frozen are "Liberated, free" in french :p)

Challenge completed!

My last book was the play, it was Romeo and Juliet and it's a good conclusion to the challenge as it's a genre I usually don't read and a classic (which I don't like to read). It was ok, the only thing I really enjoyed was Juliet's personality, she lied pretty well :D

Side-reads:
- Unusual Chickens for the Exceptional Poultry Farmer (children book): this was perfect. Highly recommended if you want a light story about a normal and clever girl who finds chicken with super powers!
- Werewolves of Montpellier (graphic novel). It was a nice read.
- And to Think That I Saw it on Mulberry Street (Seuss' picture book). It was pleasant but lacked the depth of his other stories I read.

I'll continue to read until 2016, so I'll update here with my next books :)
