I am currently reading Six Cats a Slaying by Miranda James. Just realized I had missed the previous title, so I'll have to go back and read that after. And possibly read some more graphic novels.

The last two books I read were Owl Be Home for Christmas by Donna Andrews and The Secret History of Wonder Woman by Jill Lepore. Not sure what to read next.
      2) Owl Be Home for Christmas by Donna Andrews4) The National Team by Caitlin Murray
5) Vendetta in Death by J.D. Robb
7) The Secret History of Wonder Woman by Jill Lepore

That was interesting. My stats were:In 2019, I've read 23730 pages.
The Longest book I've read this year- The Daemon Knows (544)
The shortest- Bicycles- Nikki Giovanni (109)
This year I've read books published between 1994 and this year.
The month where I read the most pages- Nov 2018- 4596.
Most this year- May- 3218.
I've been reading more graphic novels, I've read the first three Summit and the first two Batwoman graphic novels. I'm currently reading Vendetta in Death by J.D. Robb, and then I will be caught up, after that I think I want to read Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert. I caught some of her talks on YouTube and am interested to try her writing. And this is November, so once again I am woefully behind on my NaNo novel, so must start writing.

I tried #1, but couldn't read it on my Nook, didn't like reading it on my phone, and then couldn't renew it. But I did enjoy what I read. 7) The Bear and the Nightingale by Katherine Arden
8) 3 books dealt with mental health: Hope Solo's memoir, Abby Wambach's memoir, and Love Warrior by Glennon Doyle.
I've been reading books about soccer. I was on B&N and saw that Abby Wambach had written a book, Wolfpack, based on the commencement address she had given at Barnard College, so I read that. Which lead to me finding out she had written her memoirs, Forward, so I read that. And while looking for Wolfpack, I found a book written by Carli Lloyd, and read that. And then found out that we have Hope Solo's memoir in the collection, and put that on hold to read. (I read all 3 books in 4 days).

I'm currently reading Connections in Death by J.D. Robb. I've put the newest one on hold, so while I'm waiting I'll probably read After the Flood. Not sure what to read next- too many choices.

      4. Where the Light Enters by Jill Biden. Loosely taken from Leonard Cohen's "Anthem" which goes “There is a crack in everything, that's how the light gets in”.

In my last semester as an undergrad, I took a Detective Fiction Class. We started with The Moonstone by Wilkie Collins and surveyed the best of the genre. Some of those authors are still on my favorites list.

      1) Book Lover's Day- Terns of Endearment by Donna Andrews.2) Family Time- A Study in Treason by Leonard Goldberg.
6) Dog Days of Summer- Hot Under the Collar by Roxanne St. Claire.
7) In My Skin- by Brittney Griner.
For old school, I also love Dorothy L. Sayers' Lord Peter Wimsey (the ones with Harriet Vane are my favorite): Strong Poison, Have his Carcase, and Gaudy Night. There was a time when every mystery I read was set before, during, or just after WWI: including the Dorothy L. Sayers' mysteries (he was in the war and suffers from shell shock). Some of my favorites are: Laurie R. King's Mary Russell books, Charles Todd's Inspector Ian Rutledge series, Carola Dunn's Daisy Dalrymple series, Kerry Greenwood's Phryne Fisher (set in Australia after the war), Jacqueline Winspear's Maisie Dobbs.
Susan Elia MacNeal's Maggie Hope is set during WWII, with Maggie living through the bombing of London.

      2) All Creatures- Geekerella by Ashley Poston3) One Day is Now- The Daughter of Sherlock Holmes by Leonard Goldberg
4) Blast Off!- Jessica Jones: Alias vols. 1 & 2.by Brian Michael Bendis
5) Favorite Color- Meg, Jo, Beth, and Amy by Rey Terciero.
Just remember: you don't have to run faster than the zombies, just faster than the person with you. :)

I recently finished The Daughter of Sherlock Holmes by Leonard Goldberg, and am now reading A Study in Treason (#2 in the same series). Interesting books. Not sure what to read next. Maybe I'll try the Mueller Report again.
I'd love to move into Lord of the Rings, especially if it looked like New Zealand. I'm addicted to mountains.

      1. Show your Pride- Fated Love by Radclyffe4. Vacation- Brotherhood in Death by J.D. Robb
5. Where they began- A Curious Beginning by Deanna Raybourn (actually 1st book in the series).
