121177 When we moved into the house where i grew up, the library was in a shopping center around the corner from the Publix. When i was in college (i think), they built a beautiful free standing library in among the other city buildings.

121177 I didn't finish All the Light We Cannot See- but that was because it had to go back to the library. I also didn't finish Biblio-Tech, I'll probably try again later- I just wasn't in the mood for it.

121177 I'm still working on The Headspace Guide to Mindfulness and Meditation, and also reading Becoming Mrs. Lewis.

121177 Mine was Valley of the Dolls- yeah no. I don't think so.
Trinity is a great book, in a really tick you off sort of way. Never read the others.

121177 I've been reading nonfiction lately: I read Parkland by Dave Cullen, and am currently reading Gmorning, Gnight! by Lin-Manuel Miranda. My fiction read for the week was Old Dog New Tricks by Roxanne St. Clair, and I am now reading Death by Chocolate Lab by Bethany Blake and Meet Cute (an anthology). Not sure what's next, although I did check out BiblioTech: Why Libraries Matter and Dreams Underfoot by Charles DeLint, so we'll see.

121177 My to be read piles are rapidly taking over my living room. Part of the problem is I'm addicted to mysteries, and keep getting the newest book in several series. I need to go through my books and get them a little more organized, if not actually under control. Cause we all know I'm not going to stop buying books. :)

121177 I'm still working my way through J.D. Robb's In Death series, I just finished Promises in Death. Not sure what to read next.

121177 Sounds like a plan. I know I have the first volume somewhere in my house and/or Nook. I'm also continuing my J.D. Robb binge. I'm up to Promises in Death (#28). 48 comes out in February. :)

121177 Two books profoundly affected me, and made me think: The Graves are Walking and The Jazz of Physics. The first is a fascinating book, in a really tick you off sort of way, about the Great Famine in Ireland, how and why it happened, and how everything seemed to work to just make things worse.
The other is just fascinating, even if he did lose me in the math for a bit. The author, at several points in his life had the opportunity to choose to study music or math, and although he chose math he never abandoned his music. The music of the spheres exists, and the early universe glowed (read it to find out how).

121177 I always enjoy it. I've studied it (more than once I believe), and always enjoy the humor and, I confess, the just plain silliness of it.

121177 My Goodreads goal for the year was 125, and so far I'm at 97. I'm also going out of town for 10 days, so should get some reading done (although I will also be working on my NaNo project). I'm not a big fan of the Kindle, the new Nook 10.1 looks good.

121177 I'm continuing my binge read/reread of J.D. Robb's In Death series, I'm up to Betrayal in Death. Next up: Seduction in Death an Reunion in Death.

121177 I am currently reading The Hollow of Fear by Sherry Thomas ( a female Sherlock Holmes). I'm also reading The Index Card (about managing your finances), and after that will restart the Jazz of Physics (I had to turn it in- it had a hold on it- so I bought my own copy).

121177 My favorite drink would be either coffee or chocolate (or mocha which is the best of both worlds). My favorite cozy reads are cozy mysteries.
