121177 I've been binge reading my way through Donna Andrew's mysteries. It's a great series, and it let me get caught up with my reading goal for the year. I had to books to log in for badges, but my internet at home was not cooperating.
P.S. Andy Serkis also has narrated an audio version of the Hobbit. Just sayin'.

121177 I am officially jealous. I would love to go back and see some of what I missed. I didn't get to see much of Oxford, we drove through but didn't stop there, and I would love to tour the Bodleian.
I was in London before the opening of the British Library, so that's one of the places I would love to visit.
Say Hi to Big Ben for me. :)
121177 I read pretty much everything. My favorites are mysteries, historical mysteries, Historical fiction, fantasy, scifi, nonfiction, poetry, classics...

Currently reading: The Two Towers.

121177 I'm currently reading A Cat Sitter's Nine Lives by Blaize Clement, and listening to The Last Boyfriend by Nora Roberts.
Now I'm just deciding what to pack for my trek to the mountains. I think I might just throw The Two Towers on the pile.

121177 I love curling up on a comfy couch or big, cozy chair under a blanket with a good book and a hot drink (and maybe a cat or dog keeping me company).
This week I am reading I am Malala, Encore in Death, and am (still) listening to The Next Always (I am currently on disc 9). Next up, the plethora of cozy mysteries I currently have checked out.

I Am Malala The Story of the Girl Who Stood Up for Education and Was Shot by the Taliban by Malala Yousafzai Encore in Death (In Death #56) by J.D. Robb The Next Always (Inn BoonsBoro Trilogy, #1) by Nora Roberts

121177 I've finished Kindred, Fellowship, and A Book Club to Die For, and am now reading Murder at the Vicarage and I am Malala. I'm still listening to The Next Always by Nora Roberts.

Next up are two mysteries set in Florida (The Cat Sitter's Nine Lives and Murder Sends a Postcard), a couple of ILLs that I checked out to get trained in how to do ILLs (Murder and Mendelssohn by Kerry Greenwood and I think one that has just come in). And my hold on Encore in Death just came in.

It's going to be cold- the next 3 days have a low of 36-39, and highs of 52-53.

After that I've got Kindred by Octavia Butler and I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings by Maya Angelou. Then maybe I'll binge read Tolkien, I haven't done that in ages.

121177 I finished A Walk in the Woods by Bill Bryson not last week (and enjoyed it thoroughly), and also The Plot is Murder by V.M. Burns (an enjoyable cozy- can't wait to see what happens next).

At the moment I am reading The Perfect Crimes of Marian Hayes by Cat Sebastien, and listening to the Templar Legacy by Steve Berry (my commute is too short to listen to the radio, all I get are commercials). Not sure what is next.

So far I would recommend everything I've read this year.

121177 I'll have to try listening to audio books at home, I've started listening in my car, and have found some good selections. Next up will be to figure out how to play audio through my car's sound system, then I can Hoopla to my heart's content. :)

I finished reading Jane and the Twelve Days of Christmas. Next up is A Walk in the Woods, I can't wait.

121177 I am currently reading Witcha Gonna Do? by Avery Flynn (whose a friend- that I haven't seen in forever). It's a fun read. I'm also listening to The Gift of the Magpie by Donna Andrews ( her whole series is great). Not sure what to read next.
I'm not going to reach my way over optimistic plan of 120 books, but I might get to 90 books read.
P.S. Did I give you next year's list for the online book club?
Happy Holidays!

121177 I'm rereading The Beekeeper's Apprentice for my mystery book club, and also have 3 Hoopla books to read: A Bride's Guide to Marriage and Murder, Murder at the Serpentine Bridge, and Murder on the Iditarod Trail. I'm also looking for some audiobooks to take on my roadtrip to NC.

121177 I am currently rereading The Beekeeper's Apprentice for the Mystery Book club this month. I Love this book, it is one of my comfort reads. I am also listening to Wolfpack by Abby Wambach, also a great read (and after listening to HP and the Order of the Phoenix for TWO Months, it is also short). I'm not sure what to listen to on my trip home, but I have time to pick out a couple of options.

121177 I am currently reading Braiding Sweetgrass and finishing listening to HP and the Order of the Phoenix (I'm on the last disc- It's taken me so long I've run out of renewals). Next up is Book 2 of Dana Stabenow's mystery series (set in Alaska). I might look for something else to listen to on my commute, just not something that is 23 cds long.
I started reading Christie's Poirot books last year, and made it all the way to Poirot's Christmas before running out of steam, but I think I might start up again.
