Showing 101-120 of 516
My goal for this year is 120- books and graphic novels (and audio). I don't currently keep track of how many books I have bought throughout the year, but I'm thinking that might need to start. And perhaps keep track of those I check out from the library. Just to see how they total.

      1. Thankless in Death by J.D. Robb2. Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli
3. Snowed Under by Mary Feliz
5. Cliff Hanger by Mary Feliz
7. Royal Holiday by Jasmine Guillory
8. The Extraordinaries by TJ Klune
As always, I had a blast participating in the reading challenge. I finished The Extraordinaries by TJ Klune and read Royal Holiday by Jasmine Guillory (reading the series completely out of order), and am now reading Tea and Treachery. I listened to The Hobbit (finished it on 1/2- my trip home) and am now listening to The Audacity of Hope by Barack Obama (for the online book club for this month)- fascinating to listen to- I will probably go back and read it after I've finished listening to it- it's not always possible to pay attention to listening in rush hour traffic.

I finished Simon vs. the Home Sapiens Agenda, and am now finishing The Extraordinaries by TJ Klune. Not sure what's next. Maybe rereading The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings.

I am currently reading Thankless in Death (it has a cooked turkey on the cover-I just didn't get it finished for November's Take it or leave it), and will probably read Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda (I'll probably buy a copy- BN has it for $10) and than read through the stack of library books I've checked out (I have 30 items on my card- only 13 are books- the rest are DVDs as I binge watch the Marvel movies... again).

      1. Reverie4. One Life- Megan Rapinoe
5. Tough Love- Susan Rice
7. Shadows in Death- J.D. Robb
8. Written in the Stars- Alexandria Belleflour
I'm thankful for books that push me out of my comfort zone, that make me feel less alone, and for books that gave me an introduction to their authors, many of whom are now my friends. So, in addition to thanking the books, I would especially like to thank the authors. Hopefully, next year, we will be able to meet up again... and talk books. :)

I'm alternating between Black Leopard, Red Wolf and Reverie. One I'm reading in print, the other online. Both are interesting, if not exactly what I was expecting. Not sure what to read next, most likely from the stack of books from the library.

I'm sure I have just bawled reading some books, usually the ones that really ticked me off at the same time. The one book that comes to mind is Hamilton- the biography by Ron Chernow, particularly his writing about Eliza, both in the Preface and at the end of the book.

I finished Tough Love by Susan Rice, and am not reading anything else at the moment (I got sidetracked :) ). First up though, is November's Book Club Book: Black Leopard, Red Wolf by Marlon James. November is also NaNo Month, I've got to get started on that as well.

      1) Little Fires Everywhere- Celeste Ng3) Not Your Sidekick- C.B. Lee
4) Get a Life, Chloe Brown- Talia Hibbert
5) Sealed Off- Barbara Ross
6) The Plain Janes- Cecil Castellucci
I'm still reading Tough Love by Susan Rice. Next up is Black Leopard, Red Wolf for the Online Book Club. And there is also the always changing stack of library books to read, as well as the Hoopla and Overdrive books I checked out while helping a patron fix her account. :)

I'm not much of a seasonal reader, I just read what looks good. I am still reading Tough Love, and Little Fires Everywhere. I recently read Get a Life, Chloe Brown, and am now also reading book 2; Take a Hint, Dani Brown (by Talia Hibbert). I also read the first two volumes of Avant- Guards. Is there a volume 3?

I'm still working on Tough Love by Susan Rice (very interesting), I'm also reading Not Your Sidekick by C.B. Lee (Hoopla), Get a Life, Chloe Brown by Talia Hibbert (Overdrive), and Little Fires Everywhere (I'll probably end up getting my own copy). And of course there are more graphic novels on my mountain to read (still mostly Marvel- but not all).

      1) Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens2) Book of the Little Ax by Lauren Francis-Sharma
3) Dear Martin by Nic Stone
6) George by Alex Gino
8) Steamed Open by Barbara Ross
I read George by Alex Gino, about a girl born in a boy's body. It's a good book, well written and informative without being teachy.

This month I've finished Dear Martin, Where the Crawdads Sing, and am currently reading Tough Love by Susan Rice. I would recommend each of these. Song of Achilles is on my to be read mountain, maybe I'll give it a try.
Enjoy your vacation.

I'm still working on Tough Love by Susan Rice, I've just started Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens, and next up is either a cozy mystery or Dear Martin (or both).

I read so many graphic novels, I forgot to read the mystery and a book in a series. Oops.1) Batwoman: Elegy by Greg Rucka
5) Fury by Rachel Vincent
