I thought the opening scene was difficult to follow - so many characters at once! But now that it's following one or two at a time, I'm starting to sort them out. Does anyone know why there are so many princes? It doesn't seem like they are related to each other.
Here you go, Camille: By Gaslight
The Son of the Wolf: Tales of the Far North
Further Chronicles of Avonlea
Wise choice, Jenny! Much better for your back. :)I will probably be reading it alongside other books until (hopefully) I get into it. I read the first couple chapters last night, and then took a break.

Hi Kath, welcome to the group! Good luck on the 500 book goal. Hopefully you find some fun challenges to help you get there.
You're right, Susan, I have neglected the original classics in my reading list, although I've read a couple of them already. I'm adding Walpole to my list for this challenge since he founded the genre. I'll add the others to my overall shelf as well.
No, this is my first by her. I saw that she has a lot of other books. Do you have any that you'd recommend?
I just finished In This House of Brede, a contemporary novel written in the 1960s about a monastery. It was interesting, and not at all what I imagined that life would be like for nuns for some reason.
I'm going to try a signet classics version translated by Ann Dunnigan.Looking forward to getting started soon!
