118012 Great job, Chase! I'm with Clare at the halfway point. Hoping to finish before the end of the summer.

118012 The first Master and Commander is the most technical. But it sets up the friendship between Jack and Stephen which is so integral to the series. I've read 12 is the 20 books but am starting over with audio to refresh before I continue. It's really quite wonderful. There's elements of every delightful thing I love about great stories, across almost every genre.

118012 You might do better asking in the book chat or general thread, Cindy.

118012 Great suggestions, Veronique! Those were all terrific books and, yes, all brought me to tears as well.

118012 Rules have been edited to include the fact that Group Read books can now be used in Mini-Challenges. These challenges seem to have taken on a bigger place in the life of the group, so the Mods decided that it makes sense to use them to encourage Group Reads.

If you have any questions or comments, feel free to post them in the questions thread. Thank you. :)

Two Great books on surviving as an introvert...
The Introvert Advantage: How Quiet People Can Thrive in an Extrovert World
Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can't Stop Talking

I agree. There's definitely a lot of emotions explored. Especially the way people get treated in high school. All that angst and effort to find your way. Gah!

118012 Finally! I had the hardest time finding a book for this challenge. Started several that I just wasn't in the mood for. Finally found The Inn at Rose Harbor which was very sweet, cozy, escapist romance. So, hurrah! I've finished this challenge!

118012 Woo hoo! My library had it. Now I'm in the waiting list. Something for which to look forward!
118012 Yes, we definitely root for her to somehow get away from people who don't seem to value her.
118012 Great to have you along, Chase!

118012 Yes! One of the reasons I love the mini-challenges is the sense of accomplishment when I reach my goal.
