118012 I read a bunch of the Campions at one time. Some were great fun but some were kinda flat. Couldn't tell you which was which.

You might try the Wimseys. They were quite good.

118012 Looks good, Mickey! I've been meaning to read Cutting for Stone for awhile now. Maybe I'll get to it this year, too.

118012 I think I'll read something with paper pages. Most of my reading these days is via audiobooks, but I have many many books which sit on my shelves waiting to be read. Maybe the Sigrid Unset trilogy. Or Fingersnith. Or more Patrick O'Brian.

118012 Thanks for calling attention to this thread, Veronique. We haven't had a readathon in a while so it's a good time to refresh memories.

118012 I'm also way behind. I've read lots of wonderful things this year but haven't spent any time checking to see if they have won awards. Im going to have to sit down one of these days and do that... Or maybe start picking books I know have some laurels. ;-)
118012 Ghad! I also found Confederacy just dreadful. The funniest thing about it was how one person's comedy is another person's Circle of Hell.
