1176148 🎉📚Congratulations Jami📚💖

Alondra’s “suggestions” are almost always great reads but glad you waited so you can end the challenge on a high note.

To follow the Alondra’s Fault theme it might make the 12+4 challenge for next year all books she has suggested, great reading in 2023.
1176148 Good news I am down to #9 in line to borrow this from the library! Fingers crossed I get it before Christmas time.

Lol, I literally just told someone in another group that I read this month’s book of the month in July because I liked the cover! Thankfully the book turned out to be good. But how could I not pick this up off the library display? We Had to Remove This Post by Hanna Bervoets

Did not get to most of my horror books in October but overall both months had very good books.

Up Next

November theme is Historical of Steampunk. Going with historical to get some books off my tbr
Murder on Black Swan Lane by Andrea Penrose
The Golem and the Jinni by Helene Wecker

After that I am just going to read whatever catches my eye and possibly catch up on the two PIFM I did not get to in September and October.

1176148 Lea wrote: "Beth, you've done fantastic! 11 box sets is amazing. It's my dream to finish out a bunch of series, like you've done! Maybe one day...enjoy your reading the rest of the year!"

Thanks Lea. I now find I am hesitant to start a series now because if I get into it I want to continue immediately. That is what usually derails my goals, lol.
1176148 Finished my eleventh box set, Elemental Origins: The Complete Series by A.L. Knorr. This set included 6 books and 2 novellas. Enjoyable YA Fantasy about 5 teen girls getting supernatural powers. As the title states it is the origin stories and as of now 3 of the 5 girls have their own spin off book series.

It is the end of October and am uncertain if I can read another box set. Did a count today and the 11 sets total 71 books and 2 novellas. My GR read count for the year to date is 189 and that is counting each box set as one book 🤯 That equates to having reading about 250 books. 🤯🤯 Probably just going to read what ever seems interesting for the next two months and hopefully complete some other challenges. Not going to stress about goals🏆
1176148 Amazing accomplishment, congratulations!🎉📚🎉
1176148 Congratulations on reading all 16!

Thanks for the review Denise. I have yet to read one of his books but this looks like one I could enjoy!

Murder on Black Swan Lane (Wrexford & Sloane, #1) by Andrea Penrose Lafayette Place by Jefferson Flanders"

These are fantastic picks Martha. I have been meaning to start the Wrexford series( I am afraid to get invested and want to read the series in one go, lol.) and I won Lafayette Place months ago and this motivates me to read it and get a review up on GR.

Have a great November!

Thanks, maybe I will try that one. I have only read The Master and Margarita and while Russian it is a satire so I enjoyed the book. Not sure if I can handle the more dramatic ones. Going to challenge myself for next year.
