Wonderful way of putting it!She definitely shows that things don't have to be black or white, rather that different ways of seeing can actually enrich our knowledge base. As someone who concentrates on decolonizing research, this speaks to me greatly.

I'm so glad you were interested in it, Chrissie! I just adore this book.

110440 I'm really glad you liked the excerpt, Chrissie! Yes, the book does continue in a similar manner (Native American myths, the author's personal stories, scientific facts and so on). Such a creative way of sharing science, in my opinion.

Hi Jean,

Yes it does though it's not in too much depth (at least compared to the other art therapy books I've read. Then again, I'm in academia!).

Please do link it when you find it, Jean! I'm so impressed by the art therapy studies I've come across in my readings.

110440 I need to come back to this thread later! I'm currently doing some art research for a project. I'm interested in art therapy so I enjoyed Art as Therapy by Alain de Botton.

110440 Hi Shannon,

That book looks right up my alley, thanks!

I've read quite a few good feminism books: Living Dolls: The Return of Sexism, and Cinderella Ate My Daughtercome to mind.

I've just started reading Sexual Politics and it looks like it's going to be an informative read.

110440 Read the funniest tweet on Twitter yesterday regarding the Goodreads outage: "If you finish a book, but @goodreads is down and you can't log it in - did you really read it?"

At least I think it's hilarious:D
