110440 September is my birthday month so I thought it would be a good idea to read books by some of my favourite authors. Currently my list consists of:

Toni Morrison - Jazz
Oscar Wilde - Dorian Gray (re-read!)
George Orwell- Road to Wigan Pier
George Eliot- Middlemarch

I quite like the idea of having the non-fiction reads themed but the book chosen through polls. Great idea. October sounds perfect.

110440 Hi Shirley,

Yes, I was wondering whether making it a themed non fiction read would be a good idea but I kinda like your idea of having a poll too! We'll see what Jenny and the others think.

What do you guys think: bi-monthly? Quarterly?"

Sounds good, Jenny. I like the idea of them being bi-monthly for the time being.
Some non-fiction books are quite hefty and I think that most people would like to read them slowly.

How about topics? Perhaps some ideas would be science, feminism, biographies, history...

110440 Great idea, Leslie! I'm reading the Penguin edition, translated by Mark Treharne.
