110415 Yeah I love getting ideas from it! I think either Ruby or Kimberley will win it this year.

110415 Yeah me too! It's either grisly, creepy stuff or cooking programmes and that's about it - they have left it open for another series with that creepy Louise whatshername the evil old lady so fingers crossed ;)
Who do you think will win the bake off?

110415 Well that was cool (Whitechapel) - I'm really hoping there is another series soon. That old woman is seriously creepy!
110415 Brilliant! I love these, there's another book I'll have to get ahold of.

110415 Sounds good, will check them out at some point - hopefully I won't want to hit any of the main characters in those ones!

110415 ha ha, they are horrible aren't they? In a lot of other writer's hand that lot would have made me stop reading but her writing was so good I got sucked in anyway. Has anyone read anything else by Murdoch - this was my first one but will definitely read more of her stuff.

110415 I always thought totes were cosy socks with grips on the underneath - first time I heard someone saying that it did take me a minute to figure it out :S

110415 Yay! Be careful though - it really gets stuck in your head - I was singing it for nearly a week after!

110415 Hmmm.... does it seem like dumbing down to anyone????

110415 Ha ha, if this was an exam I would fail - yet another one I haven't read! I have obviously missed this period out completely and gone straight from medieval times to the C19th ;)
110415 This sounds amazing! Glad you're having a good time Ellie :) Please keep us posted - I'm following your blog now too.

110415 The ones in Pale fire are the vast majority of the book - am just under halfway through.
110415 @ Lee - it's my waitress job that I took on cos there was no work happening with the teaching agency :)

110415 Great isn't it! I'm reading World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War on my kindle and still lost somewhere in the footnotes to Nabovkov's Pale Fire.

110415 I remember that too Hilary - was it to commemorate the Jarrow Marchers or for another reason? - I really can't remember :S
110415 Enjoy the weekend everyone! I've been to the hairdressers to get my hair coloured, now I'm just chilling out before I start work at 6.
110415 Ellie wrote: "I just nearly bumped into Sebastian Faulks. Quite literally. Was about to overtake some slow-walking people in front of me and he was coming up the path in the opposite direction"

Lol Ellie - I did exactly the same thing to Robson Green a few years ago :)

110415 Would love to know what happened - it was definitely very mysterious! I read The Poe Shadow by Matthew Pearl a while back which was about the events surrounding Poe's death. Haven't watched last night's episode of Whitechapel yet cos was at work - will have to watch it later on, yay :)
