Quantum and Woody: Earth's Last Choice ★★Billed as a comedy about the world's worst superheroes, but it's flat, not funny and full of terrible art.
Peace Talks (The Dresden Files, #16) ★★★★★If you like urban fantasy, this is one of the best. The world building is impeccable.

Since then she and her mother have driven up here so she can ..."That's certainly a shock to the system. I still remember when I was a teenager this guy in his 50's showed up at our house with his two kids saying he was my dad's brother. I didn't know what to think. My grandpa was a preacher, but I guess a hellraiser earlier in life.

You can still send the books to your kindle through the website.
Bonnie wrote: "Audiobook is my preferred “reading” method so I’m really excited about this."I find I can't concentrate enough unless I'm listening in the car. Since the pandemic hit, I bet I haven't driven over a 100 miles when I used to drive 60 miles round trip every work day.
Tracy Marie wrote: "Have you tried listening to any yet? Are your types of books on there? I chose and downloaded one, but have not had a chance to try it yet."I have not. Now that I'm working from home for the foreseeable future, I don't have much time to sit and listen to audiobooks.
My thoughts on the app so far is, it needs some work. So far I've only tried it on my ipad and I have not listened to any audiobooks yet. There are some layout issues where lines go off the screen unless you view in landscape mode. I did try and view my books on there. It only lists the ones that haven't been archived yet. Reading a book was kind of a nuisance because you can only scroll down for the next page and it doesn't snap to the next page so you have to stop the scroll in the exact right spot. There is no swipe left or right option to switch pages unfortunately.
My feeling is NG focused on audiobooks with this release. Right now, I'll stick with my Nook for epubs and ADE on my ipad for graphic novels and illustrated books.
NetGalley released a new app on Monday as the only way to listen to their new audiobooks and a way to read your books as well.
FYI - I changed the title of the thread to NetGalley Audiobooks to better reflect the content within.
I just downloaded the app for my ipad. It won't be replacing my current choice of reading app. There are some layout issues. It looks like they planned on people only using the ipad horizontally when using the app which no one does. My bookshelf went off the end of the page unless I held the ipad horizontally.
If you're reading a PDF in the app, you can only scroll down to view the next page instead of swiping left. That makes it a real pain to center each page.

NG added audiobooks today. Apparently they also released a NG app called NetGalley Shelf that you can listen to them on among other things. I have not downloaded the app yet. (It sounds like there may still be some bugs to work out.)If anyone has checked out the audiobooks or the app, I'd love to hear about your experiences so far. I'm sure others would to.
Cuisine Chinoise: Five Tales of Food and Life ★Some weird translated stories I couldn't follow at all.
The Flower of the Witch ★★★
A coming of age fantasy story.
Unfinished Business ★★
A priest, a minister and a rabbi walk into a bar... in the afterlife.
Avatar: The Last Airbender: The Promise ★★★★
A very solid continuation of the cartoon.
Moonstruck, Vol. 2: Some Enchanted Evening ★★
A LGBTQ+ comic with great premises that should be good but isn't.
Hellboy and the B.P.R.D.: The Beast of Vargu and Others ★★★★
More Hellboy stories are always a good thing.

Bolivar ★★★★★A delightful childrens book / graphic novel about a little girl in NYC who lives next door to a dinosaur but everyone else is too busy to see him.
Jackie Robinson: Athletes Who Made a Difference ★★★★★This short graphic novel for kids details Jackie Robinson's life. It deals not only with how he broke the color barrier in sports but how he dealt with racism throughout his life.
Faith: Taking Flight ★★★Valiant Comics dives into the YA book craze with this novel about a plus-sized fangirl who gains the power of flight.
Finder: Chase the Lady ★★There's a whole lot of interesting world building here. Unfortunately, it's all very dense and reliant on you having read the previous 10 volumes.
