Avatar: The Last Airbender: The Search ★★★A solid continuation of the TV series. This volume explains what happened to Zuko's mother.
Kidz ★★★If the kids from Stranger Things survived a zombie apocalypse, this might be that book.
Billionaire Island ★★★★★
Another great social satire from Mark Russell. He has such a great biting wit.
Shoplifters Will Be Liquidated ★The worst comic I've read in a long time.
Lady Mechanika Vol. 6: Sangre ★★★★
Steampunk and vampires, what more can you ask for?
Gung-Ho Vol. 1 ★★★★
Horny Teenagers mixed with the Walking Dead.
How Baseball Happened: The Truth, Lies, and Marketing of America's First Sport ★★The most exciting part of this book was its title.
The Phantom of the Opera ★★★A faithful adaptation of the story with beautiful, timeless art.
Fairy Tales Art Portfolio ★★★★
A poster size art book of some of Zenescope's best covers.
Sir Edward Grey, Witchfinder, Vol. 6: Reign of Darkness ★★A Mignolaverse take on Jack the Ripper should have been great. Unfortunately it wasn't.
Willie Nelson: A Graphic History ★★★★This short bio comic is a great way to learn about the life and career of Willie Nelson.
The Secret Life of Groceries: The Dark Miracle of the American Supermarket ★★★
A book about how people are exploited to get our food to the grocery store.
The Legend of Korra: Ruins of the Empire ★★★★Written by one of the cartoon's co-creators. A great continuation of the show.
Strangelands Vol 2 ★★★★This series is sort of a Mr. & Mrs Smith if they had opposite superpowers that kept them apart but also required them to stay in close proximity.
Class Act (New Kid, #2) ★★★★A fantastic comic for kids about race and people from other cultures and walks of life.
Bonnie wrote: "I just got a notification! It was about a comment on one of Pam’s reviews. So maybe they turn the notifications back on."It looks like they did. Although it appears any notifications between last Friday and now are lost.
Bonnie wrote: "Thanks. It still seems like Goodreads has ground to a halt."It certainly has. I'd say less than 1% of users know how to get around the no notification thing. Goodreads is now a social media platform without social media.
*sigh* It doesn't sound like we are getting notifications back anytime soon. Supposedly they turned it off to improve protections against spam. I'd rather have the spam along with my notifications.https://help.goodreads.com/s/announce...

Buzzie and the Bull: A GM, a Clubhouse Favorite, and the Dodgers' 1965 Championship Season ★★★★An interesting look at one of great eras of Dodgers baseball.
