One more time. The schedule has been redone. Hopefully this is the last change. Sorry for the inconvenience.
R.

I just found out about a conflict. Do not exchange books yet. I will rework the schedule and repost it soon.

Okay. A new schedule has been generated. Authors can go to the initial post of this topic to find out which books they are scheduled to review and when reviews are due.

We are underway. The books and schedule are posted in the initial post to this topic. Please post to this topic when you receive your books to review and when you post your reviews.

The Mystery group was open for sign up for months, and only three members signed up. We won't start another mystery group unless members ask for it, since there does not seem to be enough interest in that genre to fill a group.
R.

Okay. I took a look at the mystery review group. One of its members is already a member of this group. Another has been dismissed from the Genre Specific Review Groups for failure to fulfill commitments. The third has a current review rating of 2.31. I have some trepidations about inviting such a low rated book to be reviewed in this group. Take a look at Catharsis. If at least two members of the group are willing to read it, I will write to the author and see if she wants to join.
R.

Good idea. I will look into it, as long as the members of this group agree to accept the sixth book as a mystery.

That is not a problem. I have arranged review groups of five before. As long as there is not a conflict from a previous review, it will work out fine.
R.

If we do not have a sixth book by Monday (11/23/15), I think we should close the sign up and proceed to review with five books. If you have any input on this, please post it to this topic before Monday.

This is Thriller Review Group 1, which will include all types of novels classified as any type of thriller including but not limited to crime, espionage, adventure, and combat. (Note that the thriller element of the works submitted will be a greater factor in the ratings than in other genre.) As with other review groups, you will be expected to read and give an honest review of the book assigned to you. Assignments will be made after the group sign-up has filled.
Participants are expected to post reviews to Goodreads. If the Goodreads review is positive (three stars or higher), the review should be posted to Amazon at the same star level, if the book is available there. This makes having accounts with both Goodreads and Amazon.com a requirement.
If a reviewer and the author agree that the review should not be posted to Goodreads due to quality issues, the reviewer is relieved of the requirement of posting the review. If this occurs in the first round, the second reviewer is relieved of the requirement to read and review the book. This is entirely at the discretion of the reviewer and is not intended in any way to manipulate the rating of any book.
Contact the authors you are scheduled to review to arrange to receive a review copy of their work.
Please post to this topic, both when you receive review copies and when you post the reviews.
If you are going to be late with your review, either post to this topic as soon as possible or message the author and the moderator.
If your book has not been reviewed by the deadline for either round, contact the review group moderator. This is necessary to make certain that the review process is fair for everyone.

Robby:
Thank you for the positive review. It is greatly appreciated. BTW, the time displacement component of FTL travel is based on the work of Dr. Ronald Mallett at the University of Connecticut. (He wrote Time Traveler: A Scientist's Personal Mission to Make Time Travel a Reality.) I corresponded with him a bit by email. He was very approachable and helpful.
