I put little things in books and it's beautiful to see you not only noticed, but that you put emotional resonance to it. Thanks so much for that TeriLyn. Just such a little warm fuzzy ball in my heart.

I release them as they're completed. I don't have the whole thing sitting on my hard drive waiting for release. I don't have that kind of patience. I know people who do, God bless them. Not me.

Great question.
No answers, but she will appear, and do what it is she does.
I think things like drinking problems, depression, sexual sadism, don't always have reasons or answers. People are the way they are. By saying there's a reason for someone's issues, we imply that had we done things better, then that person would be different, and that's not always the case.
That being said, I'm exploring Deirdre, and I believe her drinking might be an escape from something. She will have her own series and her own story to tell, so you won't see her issues fully in Songs of Corruption, but only get a glimpse.

I anticipate a late February release for Spin, book one of songs of corruption. I also anticipate three full length novels for that series. Though, as usual, I reserve the right to change my mind at any time. ;) I'm fickle.
The whole Drazen epic could take a decade to finish. I'd love that. I'd love to die at a hundred, typing the last word.

You on the other hand....Smuttertainment (c) is going to make you rich yet.

We're all perfect.
But if you're asking if they're based on real people, they're not. They're totally made up. Whole cloth.
And thank you Carolina, the honor is all mine.

But, to be clear, he's not saying to himself "I'm trying to collar this woman without saying "collar" and she's not listening!"
Jonathan hates BDSM toys.
Soooooo
It's exactly what he says. He wants to be present, connected, tied to her. It relieves an emptiness for him.
So it's collaring, but it's not. Because there is no collar, only the bond of one. Obviously. Sorry.
I'm not sure if that's a yes or a no.

My question is about Monica. I was wondering how she came to you. And did you know immediately she'd..."
You know, I'd love to answer that intelligently, but I can't.
I know some people do detailed character outlines and man, I've tried that. But I'm an experiential learner. So things happen for me in the doing.
Monica came alive in Tease.
Jonathan was going to suggest tying her up and she was going to like it and that was going to be it.
But she surprised me, and asked him to hurt her, because she was tied up, she felt free enough to ask. That wasn't part of the original plan. But after that point, she came alive. Before that, she was just a wiseass with a brain, and talent, who took no shit.

(something's in the mail for you as of this morning)

The sisters will be broken up into two time periods.
1) the events that take place during Jonathan and Monica's courtship. You have already seen some of the intersections of the story and they'll appear in the books
Theresa
Deirdre
Carrie
2) Events that take place years before (not exactly dead set on the time frame but either when Jonathan was 16 or 23
Leanne
Fiona
Sheila
I'm missing one.
Margie, of course, whose story will span both time frames.
Most of these stories will be in series format. Full length trilogies, duets, and possibly another serial for Fiona.
I've button off a big mouthful with the Drazen sisters. This could take a decade to complete.

Hi Sharon - this is an intriguing question.
I know when a scene is right because, like I'll be driving my kids home and my son will ask me what's for dinner, and I'll say "LEAVE ME ALONE" because I'm feeling the feels and he is interrupting me.
(Yes I am a terrible mother)
So, yes, I do go through it with you. But it's like a fruit roll-up (let's say) For me, because the time is so stretched, a scene might take hours or days, the emotions are less dense and immediate.
You're experiencing the roll-up without it getting stretched over time - the way it's meant to be experienced. So you're feelings are more condensed.
Sing was really hard to write. I mean - brutal. Some scenes were 800 words and took a week (when he proposed to her….I can't tell you how long it took me to get those details just so)

THAT SHIT IS HARD!!!
Well done, Tony. I really had to think for some of those.

That book made me want to be a virgin again.
