This group is designed for professionals, students, and curious minds who seek to explore books that challenge the way we think about strategy, personal growth, and innovation. [close] As members of the Army Profession, each of us has an inherent responsibility to self-improve. Professional reading and writing are a key component that is often overlooked. It is easy to make excuses as to why we are missing this essential component of our development: not enough time, not knowing what to read, or just missing a bit of motivation. In this spirit, I have sifted through several published Army/Engineer lists aimed at the Self Development of NCOs in the ranks of Sergeant and Staff Sergeant. From there I looked for books that are less than 400 pages. My hope is that this may help motivate you to start your self-development journey. I would be to hear your thoughts on the books and how you see their lessons for leadership.
