[close] Hello all and welcome! Everyone is welcome in this group! I was never a fast and avid reader. I've started reading more in the last couple of years and I always wanted to be part of a book club to get suggestions, to discuss books and compare how others were interpreting passages and endings. This group is meant to be a space for LGBTQ+ members to share their current reads and favourite books, to find new authors, books and series, and to discuss what they are reading. Books that are not LGBTQ+ themed can also be shared and discussed.

[close] This is your chance to read from a new perspective. Follow the well worn lines of walking in someone else's shoes. Maybe even go on an adventure with a protagonist who is nothing like you. The goal of the Big Picture Book Club is to learn about those more vulnerable in our society, and see how it might change your own perspective. This is not meant to be a political group, though 2016 taught us to look more closely at how politics are shaping our own perspective.

[close] The Billy DeFrank LGBTQ Library & Cyber Center is a community resource and archive hub. Our library collection is donated by the community and can be checked out by for free with a valid ID. The library is staffed by volunteers, who are here to help with everything from helping in the Cyber Center to helping you pick out just the right book to read.
