This is also a place to discuss the controversial topics explored in The Underground Knowledge Series (non-fiction books) by James Morcan & Lance Morcan as well as the Underground Knowledge podcast show.

[close] A book group for reading sapphic books and connecting over our often-obscure favorites! At least for now we're predominantly-YA but adult recs are ALWAYS welcome. Come chat and get recommendations for some good and underrated sapphic books!

[close] Radical Reading is a new GR bookclub group dedicated to nonfiction books on various topics from a progressive, liberating, anti-racist, feminist and queer perspective. We have buddy reads and an active discussion board, where we talk about the books we read, exchange ideas or just have fun. Our goal is to engage in lively, productive and respectful conversations to expand our horizon and become an advocate/activist for positive societal change. The range of nonfiction books we read and discuss is wide, covering genres such as history, economy, art, sociology or politics. Our group is still new and thus a work in progress, however we gladly welcome new members! Please read the guidelines for a membership request. Guidelines for requesting membership 1) Prospective members must have an active public profile; a request from an inactive and non-public profile is rejected 2) We have mandatory questions you must answer when you apply 3) Authors are welcome; however self-promotion is not allowed 4) We may reject an application if we feel that the person is not joining in good faith, e.g. just here to provoke, troll or spread hateful content; or for the reasons stated under 1) and 2)

[close] A new LGBTQIA+ book club that meets every six weeks in Church Stretton in South Shropshire (UK). We welcome LGBTQ+ people, questioning, label-free, and supportive allies. We are a casual book group, not a serious literary critique group, so all are welcome to come and have a chat. We meet up and discuss the book we are reading as a group, as well as books we have read individually since we last saw each other. We don't just read LGBTQIA+ themed books. Both fiction and non-fiction books are welcome. Our members read a very broad range of books in their spare time, including novels, historic fiction, nature/environment books, asian history, poetry, fanfiction and fantasy plus lots of other genres.
