Grimm's Circle… Excerpt from Candy Houses

Every once in a while, I think most writers probably get these ideas that are just plain fun.  Fun…as in, sitting down to write the book is like jumping on a roller coaster, a quick, wild ride that just never lets up.

GrimmCircleCandy Houses was one of those ideas.  Candy Houses…think dark, bloody fairy tales, set in modern times.  The heroine is like a dark-haired version of Buffy the Vampire Slayer-complete butt kicker.  Hero wears long, flowing sort of coat-the duster type and likes sharp shiny objects.

Shadowlight

Shadowlight

Shadowlight

Man, this fall is gonna be full of awesome books.

Rob Thurman has another one coming out.

Ilona Andrews has another one coming out.

Patricia Briggs has another one coming out.

Then there's a new series by Ava Gray that sounds awesome.

And…. happy sigh…. Lynn Viehl has another one coming out.

I'm very happy…and even happier because I've got an ARC.  *G*  I'm going to read, enjoy and brag.  Or maybe brag first, then read and enjoy…although the bragging is very enjoyable for me.  Very, v

Hunter's Fall

I've started the next Hunters book.  It is going to be Nessa's story, for those who mentioned her when I asked about other Hunter characters.  This was pretty much already the plan in place.  So if you have other characters you're interested, feel free to mention.  Am curious.  :-)

Nessa's hero is Dom, who was introduced in Hunters: Rafe & Sheila.  I knew the minute Dom showed up in the book that he'd get a story.  But at the time, I wasn't planning on Nessa ever getting one.  I didn't really have

Finished another awesome book

Blue Diablo by Ann Aguirre.  Awesome book.  I want more.

Blue Diablo

Blurb

Right now, I'm a redhead. I've been blonde and brunette as the situation requires, though an unscheduled color change usually means relocating in the middle of the night. So far, I'm doing well here. Nobody knows what I'm running from. And I'd like to keep it that way…

Eighteen months ago, Corine Solomon crossed the border to Mexico City, fleeing her past, her lover, and her "gift". Corine, a handler, can touch something and

New blog in town…

Borders now has a romance blog.  Sue Grimshaw, the head romance buyer for Borders, has teamed up with Sarah of the Smart Bitches blog and Jane of the Dear Author blog.  True Romance went live today and they'll be having different authors in and out.  I heard about this in July when I talked to Sue at Nationals and I love the idea.  I love the Borders bookstores, I love books, I love blogs, I love romance… so this is a nice combination for me.
