Guest Blogger… Ann Aguirre

We've got a guest blogger today…Ann Aguirre, author of the Corine Solomon books…

And I do believe she mentioned a contest….I haven't read Hell Fire yet, but I read Blue Diablo and it was oh, so awesome. Urban fantasy, amazing. Loved it.

Hell Fire

I have a thing for complicated books. Larissa Ione writes them. So does Suzanne Brockmann. Ken Follett's books are fabulously complex. What I mean by complicated is… they involve many points of view interwoven through the larger plot. And I just...

Why I sometimes disappear…

Some people might have noticed I'm not around on  some days as much.

For the past few months, I've been pretending to be a nurse again…okay, yes, I'm still a nurse.  I never let my license lapse-I'm too practical for that and writing is not exactly the most stable business.  Knowing that, I had plans to keep my hands in for a while.  If there comes a time when writing isn't profitable or I can't provide for my family on it, I do plan on going back to nursing. ...

Open Door…

Brain. Tired.  Last week was crazy week-finished up taxes-shudder.  Don't ask.  Taxes for a writer are almost always scary…we're self employed, which means we pay.  And this year, I'm paying in blood and gold.  o-O.  Well, almost.  But it'll be okay.

Finished up an erotic paranormal romance-she's a psychic, he doesn't quite buy into it, but they are crazy about each other.  It's going to Ellora's Cave.  Also finished up book 3 in the Grimm series for Samhain.  Right now, the title is Crazed...

Friday 56…and hey, this counts as a Friday Snippets, too

The Book: Shades of Gray…a just finished WIP by yours truly.  (Hey, it was the closest…as in open on my laptop)

page 56, 5th sentence. (I gave a few more lines, too)

Scowling, he watched as she went back to her bags, opening one of the suitcases and digging around until she had some jeans and a top. Keeping her back to him and her voice low as she spoke quietly, quickly.   She got dressed as she talked, pulling jeans up over her narrow hips, a plain back t-shirt that hung too lose on her...

Moon Called… sharing the love…Contest!!!!

So I'm sharing my love of a series.

Silver Borne, the latest Mercy book, came out Tuesday.  I haven't started it yet, thanks to a tooth being pulled, a book that needed to be finished and other pain in the tail stuff, but that's on the schedule for this weekend.

In my desire to get everybody addicted to the books I'm addicted to, I'm going to give away an unsigned copy of Moon Called by Patricia Briggs

How to enter?  Just comment.  Tell me what you're reading, or just drop your name in...
