When Your First Book Overshadows Your Second

This has been frustrating me from the start. Ever since my novel has been recently released. My first book has been overshadowing it in sales and reads. I wrote my first book "Corridors of My Mind," not because I like writing poetry, but because it was either get what I was feeling out or take my own life. Once I released the book, I had released those feelings and experiences for those moments in time, too.

Because of this I won't be writing another poetry book, because I don't have another one in me, which I'm glad about. Poetry has always been a catharsis. I am not a poet and don't address myself as one.

When I'm asked in interviews what genres I like to write poetry isn't one of them. Poetry is just therapy for me and always has been, nothing more. I'd rather read and discuss other authors poetry than my own.

I started out writing short stories, novels, first. Poetry was something down the line, but for therapeutic reasons only. I'm a multifaceted being and parts of me are in all my works, including my novels. In my latest novel, "Weeping Well," I write from my own real experiences and feelings and the depth is very personal. Even one of my characters is named after a real person that was close to me even events in the book actually happened to me and just mixed it with some brilliant fiction. What events actually happened to me from my novel? Feel free to ask.

Poetry is not the only place I can express myself. I can only hope there are open minds out there who will give "Weeping Well," a chance and realize that I'm much more than just "Corridors of My Mind."

Weeping Well Will Be A Four Book Series

Since I've recently released the first book in the "Weeping Well" series and I'm currently working on the sequel to "Weeping Well," I've decided to write two more books for the "Weeping Well" series. I've already titled them, plotted and have started on their first chapters already.

Weeping Well Has Been Officially Published and Released

Well, my long awaiting readers, you don't have to wait any longer. You can get your copy of "Weeping Well" in both paperback and kindle. Yes there is a kindle version against my better judgment I released a kindle version also because of the price of the paperback people may prefer the affordable kindle version.

* Please I can't stress this enough, please read the disclaimer in the front matter of the book next to the acknowledgements page before reading the book itself. Yes there is also a federal disclaimer, too. But, there is another disclaimer.

*Also the sample of the book will not tell you anything, this book has several intricate plot twists, and has several mixed genres. See bio for a description of these genres for this book.

Get yourself a paperback/ kindle copy on Amazon/Kindle today:

Editing on Weeping Well is Finally Done

I'm thinking about releasing "Weeping Well" early, since the final edit is finally done, as early as the end of November 2016 and no later than December 29, 2016 and the second book "Weeping Well: Shards to the Grave" and the final book in the series within three to six months after that as early as between January 2017 and April 2017. I've been writing "Weeping Well" since 2012-2016. Through countless editing, beta reads, and mentally torturing myself I'm finally satisfied with releasing it in this time frame. It's finally ready, after four long grueling years.

I was advised by one of my Goodreads friends to put it on preorder. I'll be looking into that. I've also been trying to find other places besides Amazon and it's other affiliate/ownership it has of other bookstores to upload my books for purchase/review.

So far no luck. I'm reluctant to put my books including my "Weeping Well" series on Amazon/or Goodreads. I'm thinking about finding a local place in my hometown to create my books by hand/machine.

There will be no kindle versions of any of my books from here on out. Kindle hasn't been beneficial for me.

It will only be in print copies, which interested readers can request by messaging me here on Goodreads/ Facebook/or Twitter. No free copies, except when I'm doing book/book signing tours, which will be local for now, until maybe one day I can afford to travel aboard.

Although, I will be announcing the locations of the book tours and/or book signing tours here on Goodreads/Facebook/Twitter for anyone who's interested.

Busy Girl Friday 2

In the midst of my already very, very long list of literary works, I've added writing cozy mysteries to my portfolio. I am currently writing seven of them already plotted and titled. Five of them will be part of a Cozy Mystery collection, which I've already titled. Yes, I'm a writing machine, but all this will still take time to finish, but I write daily pretty much nonstop so it'll get done. I don't start without finishing.

This is my list so far:

Ghostwriting and Editing services (currently doing, only two clients so far, hopeful more)
Finishing the second book in the "Weeping Well" series (Still writing, already titled and plotted)
7 plays for year round contest based in New York (still writing, but, already titled and plotted)
7 cozy mysteries, three books are part of a series, two others part of a series, five out of seven included in a collection, (plotted, titled and more cozies to be added later as standalones)

*Next in the near future:

Getting my Inventions and Business ideas out there to the public once patented.

Busy Girl Friday

My novels: Book 1-"Weeping Well" is almost finished with the editing process. Cover is already done. Book 2- Weeping Well: Shards to the Grave I've nearly gotten it fully plotted and I've written and completed the first chapter, in between this time I'm writing seven plays, which I have titled and written the synopsis and did a character breakdown of, to prepare for this contest that is year round.

Also in between that I have another client, an aspiring author (D. Washington) who needs my Ghostwriting and Editing services/expertise along with ghostwriting and editing my previous client's doctoral dissertation which I will be done with by the client's deadline of November 15, 2016.

I have done three chapters of it already and it has been approved by him (J. Griffin) and his university professors. I have two more chapters to write and edit for him. All while running a household by myself, writing reviews for books I've been reading and raising my nine year old son.

I'm also still promoting other authors, artists and betas. I'll keep everyone posted on when the "Weeping Well" series is released and other current and future happenings.

Weeping Well will be made into a Two Book series

I've finally decided after rejecting the idea so many times in my mind to make my novel "Weeping Well" into a two book series. I've finished the first book "Weeping Well" all it needs is more editing. The second book has been titled and will pick up where the first left off. I will publish and release both books on the same day, so there will be no drawn out wait times between books. It's a thought that has crossed my mind the past two years. So I'm going to give it a try. The second book won't be as long as the first. (The first is 447 pages long)
