Apex Magazine April 2010 Review
http://www.sfrevu.com/php/Review-id.php?id=10662
This one is by SFRevu and they liked it.
It's nice to see that there are more good reviews of this Close Encounters of the Urban Kind anthology companion issue of Apex Magazine than bad ones.
However, because there are good and bad reviews, I know that the writing was anything but bland and that is an author's goal

Today was a good day
I turned in my final draft of COVERT OPS for the Savage Mojo guys to, you know, savage and ask for rewrites.
I played a video game with my husband.
I sobbed over scenes in Mira Grant's novel, FEED, and stayed up way too late to finish it. I'm going to enjoy writing the review on this book. It is rare that I utter words like, "That bitch!" (referring to the author and meaning it in the best way possible), grinning and turning the pages. Short version of the review to come: Best zombie novel...

From the Slush Pile
I don't know where TEoP guidelines have been published recently but wherever it is, people aren't reading them. I read eight stories tonight and was pretty disappointed.

One heaven story – guidelines explicitly state "do not want"
One heaven/alien story – guidelines explicitly state "do not want" and not on genre
