GenCon and Books

You all know I'm going to GenCon and that I'm part of the Writer's Symposium with the short version of my panels below. Some of you even know that I have a table in Authors Avenue behind the cashier and across from the art show (this is a great location, trust me). What you all don't know are which books I will be bring to sell. So, I thought I'd list them for your edification.

Close Encounters of the Urban Kind – The Apex Publications anthology I edited that is getting good reviews. I will al...

New Market: Cthulhurotica

The title is neither a typo nor a joke. Yes, there is a new call for submissions for a Lovecraftian erotica anthology. One would have to be crazy to get down with an Old One or one of their servitors, but then again, loss of sanity is the first sign that you are in a Lovecraftian tale.

Cthulhurotica is looking for short stories of Lovecraft-insprired erotica, between 1,500 and 3,000 words. Originals only, no reprints. Multiple submissions are ok, but we will only print the one we think suits u...

Successful Reading!

Despite the many travel woes I had (or maybe because of it—karmic balance and all), the reading at Borderlands was grand success. All the seats were filled, there were people standing around and the audience seemed to appreciate both the In a Gilded Light and Sparrow Hill Road readings. Seanan and I answered questions, talked about upcoming projects and signed books. The few Grants Pass anthologies I scrounged up (including my "Editor's Copy") were sold out within the first hour and a bunch o...

Dice & Deadlines: Freelancing

My first article on Geek's Dream Girl, Dice & Deadlines: Freelancing, is live and is apparently beating out the GDG homepage for traffic--a rare and wonderous thing. Take a peek.

An Editor Even in My Dreams

While my husband built me my new desk (as the old one finally decided it had had enough of me after 7 years) I remembered a dream snippet. Normally I wouldn't post such but it amused me and included [info:] seanan_mcguire .

Seanan and I were walking down a Seattle street. I turned to her and said, "I know you're not late yet, but you're almost late on your TEoP story. I was wondering when you were going to get it in.

She shrugged, "I don't know. I'm kind of a demon now. Writing doesn't seem so...
