Rhianna’s tattoo and the Rise of the Goddess

The blogsphere as well as the world’s media has been all a-twitter following Rihanna revealing her tattoo of the Goddess Isis.  Rihanna’s choice of the Egyptian goddess – symbol of the divine feminine as well as protection and nurturing, shows a shift in the collective towards a more balanced world where feminine power is celebrated and shared by men and women alike. Forget for a moment the celebrity bruhaha. The re-emergence of the goddess archtype and it’s symbolism comes at a time when the planetary energy is changing and a re-balancing and healing is taking place that is long overdue. Shamans talk about 2012 being a time where the feminine reemerges bringing with it an evolution of the whole a chance to save the planet.

Isis was the Queen of both Heaven and Earth in Egyptian mythology. The Egyptians worshipped many gods and goddesses and these were often hybrid archetypes drawn from the natural world – Sekhmet who had the head of a lion and the body of a woman for example. If any of you watched The Da Vinci Code then you may remember the picture of Isis suckling her son Horus that Robert Langdon (Tom Hanks) uses at the start of his talk to show that Madonna and child type images pre-date Christianity. Isis was a goddess created by women for women. Her wings symbolise both power and protection. Women were the ones who started farming in ancient Egypt while men went out hunting. Back then Egypt was comprised of savannah and rich fields – not the desert we know today. Women prayed to Isis Goddess of Fertility as the embodiment of the rich soil to grant new life from her own body. Her naked followers even brought their cows for Isis to bless! Men soon began to understand that more food could be obtained via cultivation rather than hunting and agriculture was born but we must never forget it was women who started it.

We have been living in a testing time for the feminine soul – not just as women but as a collective. Men have been actively discouraged from expressing their more gentle, nurturing ‘feminine’ sides until recently and there are still massive changes in attitude towards this needed. Disempowerment of the feminine has been rife throughout much of the world with the result that not only women but men also feel un-partnered and adrift on their soul journeys.

Connecting back to the powerful but feminine energy smbolised by goddess archtypes brings us back into partnership not only with each other but with the world around us. For too long the emphasis has been on patriarchal values resulting in many of the problems we all face – lack of respect for our planet, consumerism and self-gain. With the new energy alignment that we now all have available to us we can use this to restore balance and heal ourselves and the planet by re-embracing all the power and mystery of the sacred feminine and acknowledge the important of the goddess within all of us.

When Will Love Arrive? Try This Meditation To Find Out!

You’ve done a lot of soul development work. You’ve fearlessly assessed your previous relationships – and your role in them. You’ve forgiven – both the other person and even yourself if necessary, and moved on. You’ve become very clear about the kind of partner you’re looking for and are applying your Quantum Creating techniques. So just where are they?

We’re often asked by clients in a psychic reading when love is going to appear in their lives. As many of you know, timing is extremely difficult for even the most gifted psychic to pin point as they see events in the quantum where of course time does not exist! There is a way however to get an idea of when that special person may appear. I call it the ‘House of Love’ meditation and it can provide us with vital clues as to where we currently are on our personal love journey and how far away that special someone may be.

The first part of this involves you doing something fun. I want you to go out and find your House of Love. This is a real house that will symbolise your relationship with your new partner. Perhaps there is a house in your neighbourhood that you’ve always loved because of the way it looks or simply because it has good vibes. Or maybe it’s a house you’ve seen advertised for sale and while it’s out of your price bracket you’d love to live in it. The important thing is not what the house is worth but how it makes you feel. In other words, it is a bricks and mortar reflection of how you want to feel in your new relationship. This house is love. If you live near the house then take a photograph of it. If the house is for sale then download the brochure or photos and print them out or ask the agent for the details – there’s no need to tell them you can’t afford it – yet!

When you have your House of Love picture get comfortable and turn off any phones so you’re not disturbed. Spend a few moments looking at the photo and absorbing the vibrations of the house. Take note of the feelings it evokes. Now, close your eyes.

Imagine you are walking up to the front door of the house. You are going to enter. This is your house. What do you feel, hear, smell when you enter the house? How is it furnished? What pictures are on the walls? Are there photographs in frames? If so, of whom? Take your time exploring all the rooms of your house taking note of what you find there. Do you live in this house alone or is there evidence that someone else lives there with you? Their clothes or personal items? What kind of person are they to own these things? What do they say about them? Most importantly, is anyone in the house with you or are you alone? If you meet someone do you know who they are automatically? Do they feel they ‘belong’ there with you? Or do you sense someone else in the house but never actually see them?

When you’re ready leave your house by the front door, closing it behind you.

Now write down all the impressions you gained from your meditation. First, did you walk along a path to the front door or when you started the meditation were you actually standing at the door? The distance we walk to the door often represents how far we are from having the relationship. Was the door open or did you have to unlock it? Unlocking the door can mean there may still be work to be done before you meet that new person.

If someone was waiting to greet you in the house this means you are ready now to have the relationship and someone should appear very soon. If no-one is present in the house or if you hear or sense someone in the house but can’t find them then again, this is a sign that you may have some more time to wait.

Did you see evidence of someone in the house – their belongings or notice someone in a photo you don’t yet know? Then take note – you could have just received valuable information about the type of person coming into your life.

The great thing about this exercise is that you can keep returning to it. As time passes you may find things change – you may discover yourself actually inside the house when you start the meditation or else someone may now be in the house where it was empty before. If so, this shows you have moved closer to your love goal. So pick your dream ‘House of Love’ and move in!

Animals and the Soul-Emotional Connection

There is little that separates humans from other sentient beings  – we all feel pain, we all feel joy, we all deeply crave to be alive and life freely, and we all share this planet together.’ – Gandhi.

You’ve probably read our article about Stephen Hawking along with many other prominent scientists, signing the petition that animals share a consciousness similar to that of humans. Science has been lagging behind what animal lovers and spiritual thinkers have known for some time. Medical science however has been ahead of the mainstream scientific community for some time with compelling evidence that animals have the same emotional responses as us discovered by Professor Candace Pert, an AIDS researcher at the Department of Physiology and Biophysics at Georgetown University Medical Centre in Washington. Professor Pert was also featured in the TV series Healing and the Mind.

Her extensive research uncovered what she calls ‘opiate receptors’ in our bodies which form the biochemical basis for all our feelings and emotions. These live in our nerve cells and function as ‘binding sites’ for different neurotransmitters (opiates) that travel through our bodies. Prof. Pert calls these ‘information substances’. So, depending on what’s going on around us – different ‘information substances’ – such as dopamine, serotonin or endorphins, get released and lock onto specific ‘binding sites’. When this occurs – obviously in a split second sometimes, a specific emotion occurs. These ‘binding sites’ are not just located in our brains but throughout our entire bodies – and what is more they exist in all life forms – everything from a single celled amoeba to a whale.

Professor Pert’s discovery shows us that there is a unity between all life – exactly what Buddha and other enlightened beings have been telling us. We share the same emotional receptors with even microscopic organisms as well as our beloved animal companions and each other. We all feel love, sadness, joy, jealousy, anger and sorrow. It would also seem that one of the greatest scientists is history was way ahead of his colleagues when Charles Darwin made the observation that the evolutionary basis for emotions was present in all animals over 150 years ago.

Science appears now to be validating what philosophers and seers have taught for thousands of years. That we are all part of a greater soul collective in which each soul finds its own emotional expression thanks to the receptors we all share – no matter what form it has taken. Life truly is one.

Psychic Development: Test Your PSY-Q!

We’re all psychic whether you want to label it as ‘intuition’, ‘gut feeling’ or ‘precognition’. There are many ways to develop our psychic abilities as there are psychic styles and obviously as you continue to practice your skills you’ll find the exercises that suit you best and open you to receiving more information about people and situations. Here is one that anybody can try if they have a spare half hour and a pile of newspapers or magazines they haven’t read yet. You’ll also need a pen and paper handy.

Pick a time you won’t be disturbed or turn off your phone. You are going to pick up information psychically about people just by concentrating on their picture in a feature story and writing down everything you think is going on in their life just by looking at their face. Don’t think too hard and take as much time as you need. Above all – don’t start to ‘edit’ yourself or start wondering whether what you are writing is true or not. Just concentrate on the pictures and see what feelings, smells, emotions or situations you can sense around them. Above all – don’t cheat by reading the story. If you are worried you might inadvertently glance at the feature then cut the picture from the magazine and close it.

Let go of initial judgements. You might be looking at a picture of a couple in evening dress – because they are photographed together does this mean they are a couple? Or if they are, that they are necessarily in love? Just because they are dressed to the nines does this mean they are rich? Probe below the surface and see what comes up.

You can use photographs of celebrities provided you are not the president of that celebrity’s fan club or usually follow them – and of course you don’t read the article first! A celebrity is actually a good person to start with as you may pick up something about them which may not be true at the time but be reported in the media later. So keep hold of your notes and the date you made them as you may be surprised what you pick up.

If you find a pile of old magazines at a charity shop or at a relatives who likes to hoard – even better. Pick a feature about someone unfamiliar to you. After you’ve written down your impressions you can do a Google search on them to see what’s been happening in their lives since the article and if you’ve picked up on it!

After you have finished writing your impressions, go back and read the article that accompanied the pictures. Does it validate any of your impressions? As you practice you will find you start to ‘tune in’ more and more accurately. You may also find the information you receive the quickest turns out to be the most accurate.

Magazines are a good starting point for when you start to use your skills with people. As you become more and more confident you can then apply your skills to the people you meet in daily life and put them to good use.

The more psychic development exercises you try, the more you will start to understand the way your particular psychic abilities work.

The New Consciousness – Homeopathy, Water and Unified field theory

GB Sprinter James Ellington recently commented “Homeopathy offers me a positive and natural way to prevent sporting ailments such as exertion, muscular pain and aching joints, without any residual effects on my performance” but the war is still raging between skeptics and homeopaths. With the new rise of fundamentalist skepticism taking over from scientific inquiry I thought I would explore  some of the theories of how homeopathy might work. I have an open mind about homeopathy and feel it is positive WITH conventional medicine rather than either extreme and even if worse case scenario it was a placebo effect it has value as the power of our mind to heal is immense.

Some people say that homeopathy works as a placebo effect only but In  his book The Holographic Universe, Michael Talbot discusses how Unified Field Theory could hold the explanation of psychic phenomena, homeopathy and other subjects which science currently either dismisses or throws its hands up in despair over. Quantum mechanics tells us that all matter is energy and that this energy is linked. Sub-atomic particles have been seen to display ‘conscious’ decisions in their movement and my Quantum Creating techniques are based on principles of Quantum entanglement and the impact of our thoughts (energy) on the unified field.

The effectiveness of homeopathic remedies has always been hotly disputed by the scientific and medical communities. For those of you who don’t know much about homeopathy – homeopaths prepare their remedies by dissolving things like charcoal, deadly nightshade or spider venom in ethanol, and then diluting this “mother tincture” in water again and again. No matter how much it may be diluted, the homeopaths claim that the original remedy leaves some kind of ‘imprint’ on the water molecules. Scientists have always claimed that given the level of dilution, the remedies cannot have any effect given that not a single molecule of the original remedy was likely to remain, and was nothing but ‘snake oil’ – without the oil! However, one of homeopathy’s biggest detractors having set out on a quest to disprove the effectiveness of homeopathy once and for all, has discovered that there may be more to homeopathy’s claims than she first thought.

Professor Madeleine Ennis of Queen’s University, Belfast who has been described as the ‘scourge’ of homeopathy, got her team to look at the effects of ultra-dilute solutions of histamine on human white blood cells involved in inflammation. These “basophils” (cells which protect your body) release histamine when the cells are under attack. The histamine stops the attack. The study, replicated in four different labs, found that homeopathic solutions – so dilute that they probably didn’t contain a single histamine molecule – worked just like real histamine, turning everything Prof. Ennis thought about homeopathy on its head.

Dr. Masaro Emoto’s research into the memory of water and how water molecules change shape when exposed to music and even words may have it’s detractors but perhaps the mere exposure of water to the original homeopathic remedy is enough to imprint it with its essence, accounting for the effects no matter how many times it is diluted. Water could therefore be acting like a liquid form of a Unified Field.

Professor Ennis has been surprised by the findings but still remains sceptical. However she admits that something is going on. In her paper on the study published in Inflammation Research, she says: “We are unable to explain our findings and are reporting them to encourage others to investigate this phenomenon.” If the results turn out to be real, she says, the implications are profound: we may have to rewrite physics and chemistry and also review our attitude towards water which may contain the keys to an information consciousness all of its own.

What are your views on homeopathy.

A debate between skeptic and homeopath.

Healing a broken heart

The ending of relationships can be painful, no matter whether you have chosen to end it or whether someone has left you.

What can you do to help heal a broken heart?  Start slowly. Give yourself a little time to heal.  Rose quartz is a very good heart chakra healer so take the time to run a bath and put some rose quartz in. Just visualise that pink soothing energy healing your heart and when you pull the plug, feel all of that pain go down the plug hole. Make a commitment to yourself to heal your heart and to love you and be very gentle with yourself.

Treat yourself lovingly

Buy yourself your favourite food, take yourself out for a walk, go to an art gallery, do something that feeds your soul.

Create a little altar for yourself, light a candle, sit down and meditate.  Say ‘Take away this pain, give me a sign of the next stage in my journey.’

Ask for help

A lot of the problem is we’re so focused on the addiction of the love that’s not working that we forget to ask for help. To actually just sit quietly and say to the universe, the divine, what ever you believe in, “Please help me take away this pain, I am ready to move on, I am ready to release this, and I have faith in my journey, help me!”.  That’s a very powerful tool.

You need to remind yourself of how to be, and how to let go of fear. Much of the fear following the end of a relationship comes from the belief that we will never find love again and that we will be left out in the cold.

Remind yourself of how powerful you are by reading inspiring texts, so that whenever a space comes in to the fear and the addiction you can fill it with something more positive by reading something amazing that lifts your spirits.

Committing to your power

This is bigger than positive thinking.  It’s about saying “I’m going to give it a go. I’m actually going to believe that I’m a creator. I’m going to believe that I can change my reality, and I’m going to believe that I can heal. And I’m just going to take a week of not thinking about that person. I’m going to trust that I’m going to let go”.

What’s the worst that can happen? You can go back to your fear, and desperation and panic. Of course you can! But you can afford to take time out, because that’s not going anywhere. And when you take that time out, look after yourself.

Often we know these things, but we don’t do them.  So make a real commitment to putting yourself first and making your healing your priority.

Be a Hero or Heroine on your journey

Whatever you do in life,  our main purpose here is to evolve and grow.  Evolving our own vibration and being aware we are unique yet an infinite part of the whole we evolve ourselves and in turn each other.  We can think of evolution in terms of it meaning that we somehow become better, nicer, wiser people.  As we evolve, that does happen, but it’s actually a by product that follows quite naturally without our even trying when we embrace the real meaning of spiritual evolution and learn how to access and use the power that we all already have inside us.

The idea that we are here to evolve is an important piece of wisdom that is found across most spiritual traditions and is even embedded within most of our fairy tales and myths that were designed to pass on tribal wisdom long before the written word was widely used.

Anthropologist Joseph Campbell studied myths and stories from different cultures around the world and found that they all tended to follow a set pattern that he referred to as The Hero’s Journey.  In a nutshell, the Hero’s Journey begins with our being called to wake up and get going on the real bit of our lives and ends  with our transformation that comes from dealing with the trials and adventures we meet with along our way that demand we access our inner power in order to overcome them.  Think The Wizard of Oz, Star Wars, or the Matrix, or any film plot where the central character is trying to live out an ordinary life when they find themselves plunged unwillingly into the middle of something on which the future of everyone depends.

The Hero’s Journey isn’t just the stuff of myths, stories and film plots, however.  It’s

something that touches every single one of us.

1/ Learn to recognise the call.  It can be something that happens to us personally

when our life is turned upside down – a relationship ends, we lose our job, or something happens that shakes us out of where we thought we were going.  Or the call can come when we see something happening in our world that we feel compelled to do something about, whether it’s doing our bit to respond to global warming or deciding that we’re going to help tackle adult illiteracy.

1/ Be kind to yourself if you find yourself wobbling.  Campbell noted that in mythology the call is followed by a refusal to respond, usually because the hero or heroine doesn’t think that they are up to the task or just wants their lives to return to the way they were before the call came.  But the journey has begun and if we embrace it, we will become more than we ever imagined we could be.

2/ Remember the promise in all legends – that if we embrace our destiny head on,  the entire universe itself will rally to our aid and help will appear in the form of wise mentors and clues left for us to follow and synchronicities that accelerate our progress.  We are not alone and we aren’t doing it alone.

3/ Trust that you do have the power inside you.  You might not believe it, know it or have had any cause to use it up until this moment, but every single one of us is more powerful than we could possibly begin to understand up until the point where we have to really start to focus on how to access and wield it and what to do with it when we can use it.

4/ Know that as you go forward on the journey, your life won’t be the same again.  It will be better.  But that does ask of you that you release the past – the old you, an old way of living, old patterns of behaviour, so that you can grow and transform.

5/ Understand that because we are all connected, when you learn how to access and use the power that is inside you, you transform yourself, and when you change, the world around you changes.

Get hold of the films I’ve mentioned and watch them for inspiration!

Loads of love,

Michele x

Quantum Creating – How To Change Your World

Embracing the idea that our thoughts create our reality is relatively (no pun intended!) easy. Putting it into practice and really internalising this belief often takes time however. It’s not just a question of how we are thinking but what we are feeling as well and it is our feelings as well as our thoughts that play such in important role in successfully changing our beliefs and thereby our outcomes and our outer experiences.

It’s the basis of cause and effect in action if we want to break it down scientifically. Of course, we are also looking at the process of quantum creating as part of a soul evolution. So, to align our thoughts – ‘I understand intellectually how this quantum creating stuff works’ with our feelings – ‘I feel a significant shift in my thoughts and how I perceive the world’ we need to keep our focus on our inner journey and wait for the outer world to reflect the change.

The frontal lobe in the human brain allows us to make our thoughts more real than anything else – just think what happens when you dream for example. Unless you are lucid dreaming whatever is going on around you – no matter how bizarre, appear real. Thoughts as we know are energy and the universe is entirely made up of energy. So, when you practice quantum creating techniques and go within, paying close attention to not only what you want to create but how you feel about your new future, your brain and therefore the outer world (universe) does not know the difference between what you are visualising in your mind and what exists in the external world. We’ve already talked about ‘entangling’ your goals with your feelings but this explains how it works in more depth. So, having played out your goals as if they were real life experiences complete with how you will feel, your brain doesn’t know the difference between your quantum creating technique and you really having the actual experience. As a result, it starts to form new neural pathways to reflect what you are visualising. So, at the same time as you quantum create you are literally changing your mind!

As you practice this technique you may find that all of a sudden a lot of synchronicities start to occur as your life starts to re-arrange itself in ways that start to reflect your new vision of your reality. This is why as part of quantum creating I encourage people to image a future that is not only different from their experience now but one in which they are different in some way.  Why does this happen? Because the external world has to reflect internal changes. It literally mirrors who we think we are. So, when you imagine yourself acting and feeling differently, your thoughts literally create a new life as this new you emerges that is more aligned with your soul purpose.

So, by changing your internal environment and aligning your goals with your feelings you will start to see how your world literally changes to reflect this new you. So bear in mind, if your dreams aren’t coming true perhaps all that is stopping them from manifesting is the fact you need a bigger dream to create a more visible change. Take a leap of faith and start imagining your biggest, wildest dream. Try it and when those synchronicities start to appear, no matter how small, you will have tangible proof you are indeed a quantum creator!
