Want to move house? Simple Rituals to Attract the Right Living Space

It may surprise you to know that we don’t have 100% of the say in choosing where we live. Our houses actually ‘choose’ us. If you are familiar with Chinese geomancy (Feng shui) then you know that each building has its own ‘energy’. In cities such as Hong Kong and Shanghai, Feng shui experts are paid enormous amounts of money by international corporations when it comes to designing and positioning their new buildings. What is more – in recent years the Feng shui wars have broken as by positioning your building in a certain way you can block off the energy to your rival’s building which affects their business!

On an everyday level, each house or apartment has its own energy vibration. This vibration attracts certain experiences and also people to it. So, when we are looking for a new home the house may ‘choose’ the person or people it wants to have these particular experiences for their soul growth. To a certain extent, this can take some of the stress out of house hunting when we can step back and realise that if the house wants us, we will end up living there – and if not, our soul growth with be in another environment.

But if you are wanting to move how can you start to attract the right place to you? Here are some simple tips to get that energy moving – literally!

1. De-clutter. It may sound obvious but if your closets and drawers are stuffed with things you no longer need or use they are ‘anchoring’ you down to your present address. Look around you. Do you really want to take all this stuff into your new home? Have a clear out, take the things you no longer need to a charity shop or sell them on eBay. If there are things you want to keep but you don’t use them that often start to pack them away. Not only will it make moving easier when the time comes it puts the universe on notice that you are serious in your intention to move house.

2. Choose your environment. What kind of home do you want to move to? Do you need more space because you’re thinking of working from home? Or do you need to downsize? What area would you like to live in? Look in magazines and on-line for photographs and make a vision board somewhere where you will look at it everyday. By fixing the vision of the kind of home you want in your mind you start to draw it to you.

3. Buy something new just for your new home. Buying something specifically to put in our new home is one of the most affirming and also powerful things we can do to draw our new home to us. Perhaps you’ve had your eye on a lamp, some beautiful bedding, or a painting that you could just see taking pride of place in your new home. If so – don’t wait until you’ve found it. Go out and buy it NOW. Affirm that you have bought this to go in your new home. Don’t use it yet however. You can look at it whenever you want, each time affirming this is going in your new home. This sends out a powerful signal to the universe that you are ready to move as you are acting as if your new home is already a reality. Remember – our thoughts and then our actions create our reality!

By following these simple steps you are not only broadcasting you are ready to move, you will attract the right place for you to experience the next stage of your soul growth in. If you think back to all the places you have lived in you will be able to see how each address offered you an opportunity for new experiences. Now – get packing!

Consciousness And The Mind – The True Bridge Across Forever

Traditionally, science has held that what we think of as ‘consciousness’ is situated in our brains. In other words, ‘we’ do not exist outside of the physical clump of cells, lobes, neutral pathways and synapses we call the brain. Due to this rather reductionist viewpoint, science has therefore dismissed phenomena such as premonitions and psychic ability. If consciousness is just a brain function and confined to the grey matter between our ears then the argument follows that everything we perceive is confined to the here and now – therefore premonitions and psychic insights cannot exist! However, both quantum mechanics and new scientific research are set to overturn these ideas about just what consciousness is and where it is located.

In his book, The Conscious Universe, Dr. Dean Radin looks at 309 experiments conducted by Charles Honorton and Diane Ferrari into precognition. 62 investigators tested 50,000 participants in over two million trials 35% of which showed that people can describe future events when only five percent would be expected to simply by chance. The odds that these results were not due to chance was greater than 10 to the twentieth power to one.

Dr. Larry Dossey author of The Science of Premonitions concludes that consciousness is what is known as a nonlocal phenomenon – basically a scientific term for infinite. So, something is nonlocal, it’s not inhabiting a specific place – such as your body or brain, and doesn’t even exist at a specific point in time (i.e.: what we perceive as ‘now’ or ‘the present’).  Nonlocal events are immediate; they require no travel time and quantum mechanics has shown us that time does not in fact exist. They require no signal to “carry” them and they don’t become weaker with distance.  They are unmitigated; they do not become weaker with increasing distance. Nonlocal phenomena are omnipresent, everywhere at once. This means there is no necessity for them to go anywhere; they are already there. They are infinite in time as well, present at all moments, past present and future, meaning they are eternal.

Think about what this means for a moment. This means that your consciousness – not your brain which is housed inside your body – is eternal.

As physicist Chris Clarke, of the University of Southampton, says: “On one hand, mind is inherently non-local. On the other, the world is governed by a quantum physics that is inherently non-local. This is no accident, but a precise correspondence …[Mind and the world are] aspects of the same thing…The way ahead, I believe, has to place mind first as the key aspect of the universe…We have to start exploring how we can talk about mind in terms of a quantum picture…Only then will we be able to make a genuine bridge between physics and physiology.”

Or perhaps this research is not just a bridge between physics and physiology but also a bridge to our understanding of our souls and intuition. Science seems to be finally accepting that there are ‘more things in heaven and earth’ than have been dreamed of in previous hypotheses forming a true bridge across forever.

Tarot Masterclass. How to Read Like a Professional

If you’ve ever had a reading with a truly gifted Tarot reader you were probably amazed at the amount of information they were able to receive from their cards. No matter how long you have been practicing your own skills you may feel that your readings just don’t have the same depth and have been left wondering just what the secret is that allows some readers to connect on such a deep level to the cards in order to extract so much information from them. Well, I’ll now share one of the secrets with you and no matter where you are with your Tarot reading skills you will be able to start to bring a new depth and insight into your interpretation of the cards right away!

Have your Tarot journal and a pen close to hand. Take up your favourite deck and shuffle the cards. When you’re ready spread the cards out face down in a fan shape and run your hand over them until you feel the energy of one calling you. Pull that card out and lay it face up. It doesn’t matter if the card is a major arcana, a court card or one of the minor arcana.

First look at your card and write down the traditional interpretation of it. Now, we are going to use this as a gateway to getting more information from the card in relationship to specific areas of life. Again, let go of what the card traditionally signifies. Look at it again. Imagine for a moment you have asked a client to pick one card in answer to a question about romance. Suppose say that card turns out to be one not usually associated with romance – say the four of pentacles. What would that card signify with regards to a relationship? Now look at your card and imagine it represents a relationship. What is it telling you about the relationship? Make a sub-heading in your journal under your previous entry ‘Romance’ and write down anything that comes to mind. Don’t get stuck on one meaning allow the card to ‘come alive’ and give you a unique perspective each time, let the cards speak to you. The more you work with the cards the deeper your relationship with the cards becomes and the flow of information should get stronger.

Now imagine your client has asked you about work and finances. What does this card tell you about that? Again, under a sub-heading of ‘Work/Money’ write down what comes to mind. Now, do the same for any other category you can think of – health and wellbeing, spirituality, empowerment, family, friends and see what the card tells you about these situations. When you have finished you will be amazed at the amount of information you have been able to get from just one card!

Obviously you can repeat this exercise and work your way through the entire deck. If you pick a card more than once don’t necessarily dismiss it – it could be the card has more information for you that you didn’t tune into the first time.

This is a powerful technique which really puts you in touch with the true magic and amazing depth of information your cards contain. Practice as often as you can and you will soon be reading like a professional.

How Tuning into Your Pet Helps Boost Your Psychic Ability

Michele Knight reader and resident animal communicator Helen shows how we can boost our psychic ability by learning how to communicate with our animals.

Aside from the obvious noises – your cat purrs when happy, your dog barks with excitement or to tell you someone is approaching, your horse whinnies with pleasure when he sees you – animals primarily use non-verbal signals to communicate. Learning how to ‘tune in’ and interpret what our animal soul companions are telling us therefore helps us when it comes to developing our own intuition and reading the non-verbal signals people give out – as well as of course, opening up our relationship to our beloved pets. So, how can we learn to do this?

Animals express a full range of emotions just like we do. If you have a animal soul companion or have simply spent enough time around animals you will have at one time or another seen your pet exhibit everything from jealousy to joy. When we understand this we can begin to relate to our animals on the emotional level which transcends language. Have you ever said ‘My pet understands everything I say?’ Chances are they do. Many animals are able to see our auras and also being masters at non-verbal communication, they are able to pick up the emotional context behind our words. So, when we are setting out on a journey to start to open up communication with our pet it is important to understand that our pets respond to this – this also means they understand harsh or angry words which they will interpret as rejection or criticism and close down as a result. So, even if you feel your pet has misbehaved, always keep a firm but gentle tone.

The first step to understanding what your pet is saying is simply to spend more time with it. Do you spend as much time with your animal as you should? Do you walk your dog regularly but are always in a hurry? Do you stroke your cat but aside from that never spend much time observing her? Do you dash to the stable to turn out your horse and then just ride him at weekends? The first step to building your relationship with your animal is to spend time with it just like you would with any other soul connection. If your animal fits on your lap and likes it, sit with it and stroke and massage it. If you have a larger animal sit with it on the floor. Run your hands over it talking to it and give it a massage. The same goes if you have a horse. Don’t just be with your horse when you are riding it. Spend time with it in the stable and the paddock and yes, horses love massages! As you do this you will notice more and more ways in which your animal communicates and what is more when you touch and massage your animal you will begin to receive emotional and psychic impressions from them. You may discover things about your animal’s past you didn’t know which can offer clues to why your pet behaves in a certain way allowing you to help them clear emotional blockages. Very often we attract animals who have similar emotional issues to us and this offers an opportunity for joint soul healing.

As you become more observant about what your animal is telling you, you will be able to apply this knowledge to understanding the same signals from people – giving your intuitive abilities a real boost.

Remember, any sudden behaviour changes in your pet require a professional opinion so always consult your vet in these situations.

Opening up non-verbal channels of communication with our pets enhances our relationship with them and brings about greater connectedness and wellbeing for us. So – get talking to the animals – you’ll be surprised at what they have to say.

Psychology & Soul Matters: Why Did It End When It Was Going So Well?

Most of us will have experienced the following scenario at some point in our lives. We meet someone new and there’s an instant connection. Things get more intense as we start spending more time together and before we know it we’re making plans for holidays and talking about the future. Then – out of nowhere, the other person turns around and ends it for no apparent reason going from close to cold and distant in a matter of days.

It’s all too easy in situations like this to wonder what we did wrong or if there was anything we could have said or done to have made them change their minds. We may also be completely baffled by their actions which can leave us feeling there is no closure. Usually in these cases while it may have been intense, the relationship may have only been going on 2-3 months before the break-up, yet it may hurt as much as if you had been involved for years. However, because you had not known the person for very long, some people may find it hard to understand the extent of your heartbreak.

If this all sounds heart-achingly familiar it’s important to realise that there are often two factors at play here and neither of them may have anything to do with you or anything you’ve done wrong. One of them can be psychological. The other is a soul matter. As psychologist Dr. Jennifer Harman who specialises in human relationships explains, when someone ends a short term but deep relationship suddenly, this behaviour often stems from something called ‘avoidant attachment style’. ‘People with avoidant attachment styles are more likely than people with other styles to end relationships when they start getting too intimate2and to use indirect strategies to do so, such as avoiding direct communication about the real problems that are leading to the break-up,’ Dr. Harman explains. So, as you become closer to the other person, if they have avoidant attachment issues, they will back off and then end it.

On a soul level, we all come together for growth and every relationship is a growth opportunity. Despite appearances to the contrary this person chose you in an effort to try to work through their issues. And equally important you may have also been drawn to them to work through an entirely different issue of your own such as how to identify someone who is truly open and available for a relationship. Identifying them may initially involve getting involved with someone who is just the opposite, so the relationship was an opportunity for growth for you both.

Sometimes we are lucky – after a slight ‘cooling off’ period they discover the connection was deep enough to over-ride any deep-rooted fears around relationships and you may be able to re-forge your connection on a more secure footing. Whatever happens, all our relationships allow us to better understand what we need from a partner. By understanding this we are able to attract exactly the relationship that allows us to share our love and fuel our soul journey.

Soul Path SOS: Does the fact I’m struggling mean I’m on the wrong path?

Next to love and money one of the main areas our readers get asked to look at are soul path issues. We all want to find our true purpose – work which fills us with passion and excitement. Sometimes this means staring our own business or else a radical change of career direction. We can be doing all the right things – practicing our visualisation and our Quantum Creating techniques as well as taking all the practical steps we need to in order to realise our goals. Our higher self seems to be telling us we’re on the right path and we feel alive and energised. And then – suddenly we start to encounter problems. Perhaps we’ve started our business but are finding it difficult to attract clients. Or despite us upskilling in order to change our career direction we’re finding the doors keep being slammed in our face no matter how many times we knock. When this starts to happen it’s all too easy to become disheartened. Worst of all, we immediately start to replay not only our own fears ‘See, I knew you couldn’t make it – you’re never going to be anything else but a failure’ but also other’s negativity too – ‘Mum/dad/my 9th grade teacher/my ex were all right. Trying just leads to disappointment. I should have stuck to what I was doing and been grateful.’

First – take a step back and get things in perspective. If you read the biographies of most successful people you’ll know that often they spent years trying before they finally ‘made it’. During that journey they made mistakes but they learned from them, picked themselves up and with this new knowledge tried again. The difference between successful people and failures is not that successful people never fail at first but that they keep trying until they succeeded!

We can be firmly on our soul path but this does not necessarily mean our path will be free of obstacles. Often though these obstacles are sent to be our greatest learning opportunities. If you are struggling, if you are despairing about whether or not you will make it, understand that one day these experiences will turn out to be your greatest assets. The universe doesn’t send us anything we can’t learn from. Why should struggle turn out to be an asset when it appears to be just the opposite? Because sometimes the universe will test how much we want something. And – more importantly, chances are your soul path dream involves dealing with other people, right? Connecting with other souls. Even if your dream is to be an internet marketer you need to connect with your market. If you were to make a fortune overnight and life was entirely easy you could easily lose touch with other people. When we have had to strive and work hard for something, to know the depths of despair and the joy of success this means no matter how successful we become we never lose touch – which fuels our spiritual growth and puts us in a position where we can become examples to others.

You are on the right path if your dream energises you. It is that energy that will help you deal with any obstacles and stuggles. At the end of the day remember – it is the journey that should be the goal – not the destination. Embrace all aspects of your journey – the good and the bad and you can be sure that no matter where you end up you will understand what true success is.

Can You REALLY Love Someone More Than Anyone Else Can? Science Says ‘Yes’.

Have you ever been in a situation where you have truly felt that nobody else could love a particular person as much as you do? Have you ever wondered whether the ability to feel love is actually equal across all of us? New scientific evidence gathered for a documentary points to the fact that not only are all loves not created equal but neither are all lovers. If you feel that nobody will ever love a particular person as much as you do, you may be absolutely correct!

A documentary film maker Brent Hoff along with neuroscientists at Stanford University including Research Director Bob Dougherty, used an fMRI to monitor volunteer’s brain activity to literally measure whose love was the strongest. Seven volunteers were placed in the fMRI and were told to try to love someone as hard as they could for five minutes. The machine measured their brain activity based on the levels in the dopamine, serotonin and ocytocin/vasopressin pathways. What happened is that the experiment showed that it is possible for one person to exhibit that they can love someone more deeply than another person can.

In the resulting film which is called The Love Competition, volunteers talk about their loves and the effect the test had on them. Many feel euphoric. One woman emotionally explains that she just feels lucky for the love she’s had in her life. However, Hoff said who actually ‘won’ The Love Competition wasn’t necessarily the person with the highest score.  “The guy who lost, who came in dead last, was probably the happiest of anyone; he realized he wasn’t in love with his ex-girlfriend,” Hoff said. “He walked out of there with his arms raised, triumphant.”

To bring this into a soul perspective, when we feel we love someone more than anyone else this can be because we have loved them over many, many lifetimes. We recall this on a soul level. Hence, we may literally be the soul who has known them and loved them the most. Bear in mind however, that because you love this person the most does not guarantee that they will feel the same in return or that you will stay together or even that you are necessarily good for each other’s growth in the long term. When we love deeply someone on a soul level our love allows us to choose them to experience the greatest growth with. This may bring challenges as well as joy. Like the female volunteer in the film, we should remain grateful for all the love opportunities we are given in our life and all the souls we express that love with. At the end of the day love really isn’t a competition.

Tarot and You. Improve Your Reading Skills and Find the Key to Soul Discovery

I’m always saying that the Tarot is more than just a way to look at the future but is also an invaluable soul-development tool.

Many of the techniques that I share with you are not just designed to help you improve your Tarot interpretation skills but are also designed to help you gain greater insight into yourself and your unique soul gifts and purpose. Remember – by better understanding ourselves we arrive at the place where we can better understand others and this can not only help with our Tarot reading abilities but in every other area of our lives.

This next exercise is no exception. It utilises just the major arcana cards so first separate these out from your Tarot deck. Now shuffle them and lay them out FACE UP in front of you. Lay them out just as they come out – in no particular order. Take a moment to look at all the cards one by one and take note of the feelings they arouse in you. When you have looked at every one, then select the one that you like the most on a gut level. Let go of its actual meaning – this is all about your instinct and insight. Put this card face up and to one side. Now, re-examine the cards again. Which one invokes a dislike or negative response in you, like fear, loss or sadness? Again, set aside the usual interpretation of this card and put it next to the one you like most but with a space in between.

Take a moment to sit with both cards. How do they relate to or reflect you personally or what is going on in your life? Now, go back to the rest of the cards. Based on the two (positive and negative) you have chosen, which remaining card represents a bridge or a transition between the two? Put this card in the space in the middle.

The first card represents you and the positive way in which you perceive yourself and what’s going on in your life. The second card you chose represents your ‘shadow’ – the part of your personality with which you may be uncomfortable or things in your life you feel powerless to change. You may not want to acknowledge these but nevertheless, they have to be dealt with for you to progress. The third (middle) card represents the key to integrating these two sides of your personality and your soul journey – what you need to do or what qualities or strategies you need to adopt in order to free yourself of limitations and blockages to your growth.

Once you have chosen your three cards you can then refer to the traditional interpretation of them in order to discover what you need to do next. However, don’t forget the most important thing of all when reading for yourself or anyone else is to tune into the soul messages you have receiving from your intuition rather than just relying purely on traditional interpretations. Your higher self knows better than anyone what you need to do to evolve. The Tarot however, provides us with the key to unlock the innermost secrets of our soul and lead us on the path of our true soul expression.

Soul Path SOS: They’re Out of My League!

It goes like this: you’re walking down the street or at a bar or party when you suddenly spot an incredibly hot guy or girl walking towards you. You’ve been working on attracting a new partner for some time. Your first reaction is: ‘Wow! There’s someone I’d love to get to know better.’ Then a little voice inside pipes up: ‘They’re way out of your league’. So instead of making eye contact and flashing them a smile you keep walking or turn away.

Limited thinking and self-criticism is often all that stands between us and achieving our goals. The problem with this is we become our own worst enemy. And it’s not just our romantic lives where people apply this type of thinking. Chances are you’ll do the same thing in other areas.  Say you’ve been upskilling and looking to change your job or even your career path. Suddenly you see your dream job advertised. Your initial reaction is to go for it but then you start having doubts. They’re going to be looking for someone older/younger/better qualified/with more experience . . . You’re way out of your league so why bother applying?

The first thing to understand is when we start to ask for opportunities the universe starts to throw them in our path. It’s up to us what we do about them. That cute person walking towards us, that ‘dream’ job advertised – they could be appearing in answer to our soul work. But we have free will as to what we do about them just as we have free will to change long term thinking from ‘They’re out of my league’ to ‘Why not?’.

When it comes to people and dating – look at it another way. You are making assumptions about somebody based entirely on their looks. Yes, they may think they are out of your league but you would really want to date someone so vain and superficial? Or they may be just like you – a human being looking for a meaningful connection and one who doesn’t want to be judged just on their looks alone anymore than you want someone to think you are too old, too fat, too thin or too short. The only way to find out what they think is to try to get to know them. And it if doesn’t work out the way you hoped there could be many reasons why – they may be involved with somebody else or acting as an opportunity for you to expand your idea of what is and isn’t possible for you. If you meet with rejection all you have lost at this point is usually a smile and a ‘Hello’.

Do you think the sky’s the limit or have you unknowingly placed a glass ceiling in your way? Part of soul growth is expanding what we think is possible for us to have in our lives and in order to do this we have to be unafraid to take a few chances. So, next time you spot that cute person or see that dream job advertised, instead of thinking ‘They’re out of my league’ replace it with ‘I’m going for it!’ After all,  the only thing you have to lose is limitation.
