In the past, suicides only happ

Guillermo E. Tolentino made a lithograph with illustrious Filipinos that he put together in a "class picture." Do you recognize ALL of them? Would you consider ALL of them as heroes? Those who took up Philippine history in schools should know who should and shouldnt be in the picture. Anybody missing? Guess who? Please share

In 1969 Yoko Ono filled a notebook with clothing designs for John Lennon that emphasized the parts of his body she liked best. Some of these are too graphic to be reproduced on this FB page yet a handful were actually executed and launched in Tokyo in 2012. This autographed facsimile of her notebook is a souvenir of that memorable encounter. Pls share.

People rarely smiled in old photos not because they were unhappy but because shutter speed was so slow you had to keep still awhile to capture the image. Your teeth would be dry from holding the smile and your snapshot would not yet be done, so it was best to frown or have no expression at all. Pls share.

For a change, I'm posting a photo of the 19th century Filipino Master Felix Resurreccion Hidalgo in his Paris studio. Don't you wonder where all the paintings on the walls and the floor are today? These are worth a fortune at auction. Please share.

Plaza Mayos, the most important public square in Spanish Manila, was that bounded by the Manila Cathedral, the Audiencia, and the Palacio del Gobernador. In it were held fiestas, processions, bullfights, and even military parades that led to it being referred to by some as Plaza de Armas.

Hope you are not bored with this series of fencing pictures. Location Paris outside Juliana Gorricho's home.
