Less than 24 hours since I posted the kuripot luxury car owner who defiantly left his car on a clearly marked No Parking spot yesterday. Bollards and tape were installed to prevent repeat offenders and provide better traffic flow.
Whoever installed these MACEA, Makati Parking, Barangay Urdaneta or the Peninsula thanks whoever you are.
If motorists only followed rules we would not need unsightly physical barriers.

My Inquirer column today is about objects at auction beyond my pay grade: a painting by Anita Magsaysay-Ho, an autographed first edition of the Noli me tangere, and a gold Rolex whose case back is engraved with the signature of Ferdinand E. Marcos, allegedly one of 12 distributed to the so-called "Rolex 12" before Martial Law was declared in September 1972.
