Two cars parked on a stretch of road clearly marked on the curb and on signage with "No Parking. No Waiting." Vehicles were attended, SUV had flashing lights, both were idling--another offense.
At 11.17 am an enforcer told the SUV to move along, the red car further down sped away. Tickets should be issued. Warnings clearly do not work.
Four minutes later, with enforcer gone, both vehicles were back.

Some people do unboxing videos of shoes, clothes, gadgets "Achot" or Randaeniel Carlos shares the unboxing of his loot from last weekend's Manila International Bookfair. Flattered that most of his "budol" were my books.

Still recovering from the Manila International Bookfair Weekend. Signed and greeted readers: an hour on Friday, five-and-a half hours on Saturday, two-and-a-half hours on Sunday.
Didn't have time to scout the other booths and buy new books, but I bumped into two other best-selling authors: National Artist Ricky Lee and Lourd de Veyra.

One of the memorable people I met this bookfair weekend was 11-year old Achot Carlos who read many of my books and gifted me with a cherished, now antique, 10-peso bill. I asked him who were the heroes he liked best and he said Andres Bonifacio and Antonio Luna. He is fortunate to have a supportive home that allows his interest in Philippine history to blossom Meeting him made me realize that there is hope in a country desensitized by corruption and inefficiency.
