MARRIAGE OF ANDRES BONIFACIO AND Gregoria de JESUS?
Gregoria de Jesus, in her memoirs, states that she married Andres Bonifacio in March 1893 in Binondo Church. They were later re-married in Katipunan rites.
There is no church record of such a marriage for 1893 but in the book, Casamientos 1894-1899 fol. 29 v. #113 N.1.155.734, I found a marriage record for June 20, 1894 between ANDRES CIPRIANO, indio natural, resident of and from Tondo, widowed from Esperanza Francisco, and GREGORIA D...

My Inquirer column today is on stray news items I sourced from the Manila Times 1899-1901: Pio del Pilar got hit by a stray bullet from a machine gun his men were tinkering with, a Heneral Antonio Luna dance step music was considered subversive, and the enemy caught a spy disguised as a woman! A lot of interesting crime stories in those days.

ANDRES BONIFACIO, BPI, and HSBC.
A file from October 1896 states that Andres Bonifacio had two known addresses: Calle San Jose (Trozo) and the house of Capitan Quicoy on Calle Lavezares. It comes with certifications that Andres Bonifacio does not have an account nor money in the Banco Español Filipino (now BPI) and the Hongkong Shanghay Banking Corporation (now HSBC).
Can't wait for the Philippine National Archives to re-open for research so I can dig up other related documents.

Before we had Pacquiao on the boxing ring, the most famous Filipino boxer (aside from Flash Elorde) was "PANCHO VILLA" or Francisco Guilledo, but this front-page of Bagong Lipang Kalabaw celebrates a certain "Francisco Tingson" as the boxer who carried our flag in 1922. Are Guilledo and Tingson one and the same person? Image courtesy of the Lopez Museum and Library.
