Monster by Kayti Nika Raet - ***COVER REVEAL***

MONSTER COVER In a world full of flesh eating creatures, sometimes humans are the more terrifying monsters.
It’s been three months since revolution swept through the city of Cherai and ousted Councilwoman King. Banished, the city now has a chance to recover from decades of injustice and oppression. With the help of Ben, Songhay, and the Gemini Gang, Niko works towards building a more egalitarian society.

But someone is murdering Slither hunters.

And coupled with the councilwoman’s reappearance, all of Niko’s...

Book Review - Harm by Kayti Nika Raet

http://www.amazon.com/Harm-Outsider-Chronicles-Book-2-ebook/dp/B00HZSXOX0/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1435698594&sr=8-2&keywords=kayti+nika+raet
Do I really want to read a sequel?

I had previously reviewed the first installation of The Outsider Chronicles, Niko, last year. I gave it good marks (as is my custom) and moved on to other books by other indie authors. I liked Niko, it was cool and any world where it rains acid has my attention. I'd toyed with the idea of reading the next book in the series but my interest was half-hearted. This isn't a slight to the author, Kayti Nika Raet, I just don't like to dwell in one world for too lon...

Review - The Joyville Sweat Sox by Linda Fausnet

"Ah hell yeah she did!"

I caught myself saying that many times while reading The Joyville Sweat Sox. The story took me back to a time in my life when every spring meant baseball. Not just playing organized baseball, but trading baseball cards, tossing a ball around with friends, maybe watching The Sandlot or Rookie of the Year (or Major League if my parents weren't home!).

The Joyville Sweat Sox is funny, sometimes a little irreverent, and suitable for kids and adults. Also, there are...

Kendall, meet Jules

I am in serious trouble. I've been working on another crime novel, one I hope to pass around to agents, my fingers crossed, and brave the traditional route. Today I may have messed that all up.

I made a terrible mistake. On a whim, I chose to begin reading Around The World In 80 Days by Jules Verne. Just like that, my crime novel got shoved to the back burner. Instead, I will finish reading this book (at 62K words, it shouldn't take long) and I will use it as the inspi...

Fantasy Football League for Writers

NFL Minicamps are underway, soon it'll training camp, and then preseason! I am a football lover. February through July is nothing more than a long, itchy time during my year. But soon, so soon, I will get the fix I've craved since my Patriots put a hurtin' on the Seahawks.

Late last year I had the idea to start an all-author fantasy football league. But it was much too far into the regular season to be any fun. So, I filed it away under the "Have To!" category of ideas. Those are the ones...

My Writing Career

I try to make it a point to not get starry-eyed when I think about my writing career. Of course, I hope for success and I would love it to be my main source of income.

I got my hopes up for HUGE sales when I launched The Dead Don't Speak, but that didn't happen. It is selling just like my first novel did. While selling any copies is good, it was depressing.

I've decided the focus of my writing career needs to be just like the final scene of 8 Mile. Eminem has just...

I'm not an addict. I'm a recreational user.

I hear many authors say they are driven to write. They simply have to get the story out. That's not me. I'm not obsessed nor addicted to writing. For me it's a recreational drug. I feel better when I'm doing it than when I'm not.

My 2nd novel is AVAILABLE!

Lying, cheating, stealing, plays for power, sex, blackmail, murder, regrets, revenge, and a good helping of vigilante justice - This book delivers! The Dead Don't Speak is a guilty pleasure read at its best.
