Author Interview - Brittany Adelle
Biography - Brittany Adelle
From the writings of Brittany Adelle come stories of evil versus light, purity overtaken by darkness, and dangers of living with the occult. It doesn't stop there, but deep within these pages is where you'll find battles of the human heart and mind, that no synopsis or biography could ever explain. Horror and suspense have played the biggest roles in Brittany's life, from movies to video games, to books and true-crime. Her love of the dark and studying everyth...

Book Review - Fluency
It'd been years since I read a sci-fi novel, the last being Children of Dune, and I didn't finish it. Luckily, after an extended hiatus from the genre, I made my return with Fluency by Jennifer Foehner Wells. After this novel I am eagerly seeking out my next sci-fi read. That's right, Fluency got me back into the genre.
First, I love that it was set in the present day and in our solar system. So many sci-fi stories take place far from Earth or in the future. It's nice to find one set...

Author Interview - Kayti Nika Raet
Biography
Originally from Brooklyn, New York, Kayti Nika Raet moved down South when she was 11, where she was bitten by the writing bug, as well as other, less friendly insects. She is the author of the Outsider Chronicles, a five book series starting with NIKO and set in a world where the rain burns like acid and flesh eating monsters roam. She's also a reviewer for Readers' Favorite and has her own Youtube Channel: Kayti Edition. When she is not hard at work on her fourth book she has...

My Dream Cast for "The Bad" Movie
I was looking at my writing friend Kayti's blog yesterday and I saw where she'd chosen a cast for her book if it were a movie. Well, this combined three of my favorite things; my writing, movies, and wasting time on the internet. How could I not copy her? So here is the cast for The Bad if budget, scheduling, and reality were not an issue. The only rules of real life I tried to respect were getting the ages close and making sure the actors/actresses were alive. (Sorry George C. Scott - You wo...

My solution to the broken New Years resolution
I am seeing a lot of blog posts about New Years Resolutions. We all know promises to ourselves are often the first ones broken. Do you suppose that's because there's little accountability? So what if you disappoint yourself? You're awesome and you know it. If no one else knows you gave up, does it even matter?
It matters a little. Continually breaking resolutions establishes a pattern and patterns have a way of becoming habit. (As a side note, the word Resolution means -- "a firm d...

Another week gone by...
It's been a week since my last post and plenty has happened. Christmas has come and gone, the NFL regular season is over, and I was introduced to Trivia Crack. All three of these events rate equally in importance in my life.
Amid these distractions I am happy to report I've done absolutely no meaningful writing or editing! Now, a full week later, it is difficult to get the words out. I spent the week thinking, "It'll be nice to have a break," and, aside from the guilt of not producing anything...
