Sneak Peek + A Sale for You...
Another week. I hope everyone's mental health is as good as your physical health. Hang in there!
In good news, The audio of Shielding Gillian is now live! If you've been a Stoker reader for a while you know that I try to get the audio version of my books out a week before ebook. I know some people don't like this, but audio listeners are at a disadvantage most of the time. Audio is expensive to generate, and some books never go into audio. Other times it can take months for the books to be put into audio. So as my way of saying, 'thanks for being a Susan Stoker fan' I try to get my audios out a week early!
With that said, Shielding Gillian in ebook is almost here! To help with your anticipation, I've shared the entire first chapter on my website! You'll get inside Gillian's head when she learns the plane she's on has been hijacked and see what Trigger thinks about the mission to rescue hostages.
What early readers have said:
"I think this is my favorite book of yours yet."
"Gillian is truly amazing, and Trigger? Swoon!"
In other good news this week, my publisher has done something they've NEVER done before. They've made Defending Allye FREE (in the US/Canada) and lowered the price to .99 in Europe and the UK. This does not happen. Ever. So be sure to pick it up while it's free or on sale while you can! If you haven't started my Mountain Mercenaries series, this is a great way to do it! (And the rest of the series is in KU, so if you have that you can binge read and get ready for the last book in the series to go live in June!)
And one more piece of news, I'm updating the covers in my Badge of Honor series. I know some readers HATE when authors do this, but from a business standpoint, it's done to attract NEW readers. The pictures on the covers are all the same as the originals, I've just toned down the somewhat busy backgrounds. I hope you love them as much as I do (and if you don't, please don't tell me. lol Just move on with your life. HA!)
I appreciate all the notes and messages of encouragement you all sent last week. This is a tough time for everyone and I feel grateful that I can work from home. Thank you to all of you who are still going to work and especially those in health care. Mr. Stoker is still working part time as an EMT (and yesterday did CPR on a woman and brought her BACK to life! Amazing)

We're getting closer and of course, more tush!
This has been a hard time for everyone around the globe. People are worried about their jobs, their health, their loved ones...I'm not sure I have the right words to comfort you, but I do want to remind you to take care of yourself. Don't be too hard on yourself. If your kids have too much screen time, that's okay. Try to eat right, but don't beat yourself up if you have Cadbury eggs for breakfast instead of the real ones.
I know some people have called authors inconsiderate for going on with their business...promoting books, doing cover reveals, etc, but for me, my books are what keeps me sane. I can lose myself in my stories...and I hope that's the same for all of you.
With that said... Shielding Gillian is coming up fast. March 31st the audio will be live, and April 7th the ebook will drop. I wanted to share another small excerpt this week for you. I just love Trigger and Gillian together. They make me smile.
I've also got more of the special edition TUSHIE covers for Shielding Gillian to give away. This week, follow me on Amazon and fill out this Google Doc, HERE after you've done it, and you'll be entered. Open internationally and I'll pick TWO winners this week.
Next week I'll share the entire first chapter (although you might've read it in the back of Securing Zoey already!)
Again, take care of yourself in these weird times. Be kind...to yourself! And...read on!

More Tush and Congrats!
DON'T PANIC!
There will be a new Susan Stoker book in 2 weeks! :) (You thought I was gonna talk about the virus, didn't you? Nope, not happening here!)
Shielding Gillian, the first book in my new Delta Team Two series is coming out on April 7th. The audio version arrives one week earlier on March 31st. Virginia Rose narrates this time and she's AH-MAY-ZING. Please get her a shot, because she's done such a good job on this series.
And a big congrats goes out to K. Snelling for winning last weeks tushie cover! For this weeks contest, head over to my Facebook group and show off your very own TP stash.
Last week I gave you a short excerpt, and this week I have a brand-spanking new teaser for you below...hot off the presses.
My editor had this to say about the heroine in this one:
Gillian is a perfect combination of head and heart. She gets frustrated with Trigger's protectiveness, because she's human, but she's smart enough to know why he's doing it. And more importantly, she doesn't do anything stupid to put herself in danger just because she feels a little smothered. Everything she thinks and does is sensible and, most importantly, believable. I wish every heroine I ever read was like her.
I'm super proud of this story and I hope, even though it's the first in a new series, that you'll all give this new team a chance!
Everyone stay strong and positive out there. I know the world can be a scary place, but don't let negativity get you down and always find your happy place. Remember you can always lose yourself in a book!

You should read this...
We've made it half way through February! Why is it that January goes SO close, but Feb goes by in a snap?
Anyway, we're creeping closer to Defending Zara releasing! There haven't been many advanced copies let loose in the world because I really didn't want a lot of spoilers floating around in cyberspace.
This week I wanted to give you a HUGE teaser...the entire first chapter. For those of you wondering what's going on with Meat, where he is, what happened...this might give you some answers...but it might make you have OTHER questions too. HA! :)
We're coming to the end of the Mountain Mercenaries series, but that doesn't mean I'm going to go easy on my Heroes or my heroines! Thank you all for loving this series. I had a blast writing it and I'm gonna be sad to see all these characters go. They've truly become my friends, I hope they're yours too.
Enjoy the week. Be safe. Be happy.

And the winner is... 😍
Whew! It's finally February! Next thing we know, though, it'll be coming up on Thanksgiving and we'll wonder where the year went. It's crazy how January seems never ending, but then the rest of the year seems to fly by.
I know many of you are sad that I don't have a release in Feb (although I argue that since Feb is a short month and Defending Zara comes out on March 3rd, it might as well be releasing in Feb...(Feb 32nd release! lol). So to help mark the time, you can read my story, Caroline's Surprise in the charity anthology for Australia. This is an amazing compilation of short stories by so many awesome authors! ALL proceeds are going to our friends over in Australia to help deal with the aftermath of the devastating fires.
Thank you all for entering my contest for the special TUSHIE cover of Shielding Gillian I was running over on Instagram. I know some of you don't IG, but stay tuned for more contests. Congratulations to just.misty for being the first to win one of these special edition covers! More contests to come, so stay tuned!
I wanted to start something new in my newsletters, giving you tidbits and insights into some older books of mine. Sometimes this might be a random book that you didn't know I wrote, or thoughts I was having when I was writing a book. It might be a funny story, or just a random fact about the book. I hope you'll scroll to the bottom of my newsletters to see this new feature to my newsletter! This week I'm talking about my book A Princess for Cale!
Stay safe out there everyone! Cover your mouth when you cough or sneeze, wear your seatbelt, and always be aware of your surroundings!

Read Zoey Now!
Securing Zoey is finally live! Bubba goes back to Juneau for his father's memorial service but on the way there finds himself stranded in the middle of the Alaskan wilderness with a woman he used to know in high school. Neither are happy with the situation, but they're too busy concentrating on surviving and trying to figure out how to get themselves found than about what happened when they were teenagers.
This book is available on ALL platforms so you can pick it up on your reading app of your choice.
Just a small reminder that reviews are super important. You don't have to write anything long, even a sentence or two is perfect. Reviews do help authors, the more reviews on a book, the more popular it looks to readers who might only be browsing. There are a lot of places you can leave a review, all the various platforms, Bookbub, Goodreads, etc.
I'm always nervous to put a book out in the world because I want you all to love each and every one of them. Securing Zoey's no different.
Enjoy... and Read on!

Zoey Sneak Peek Inside!
Welcome to 2020. Wow, that's crazy to write. In a week Securing Zoey will be LIVE! BUT you can get the Audio book NOW!
As I usually do, I want to share the first chapter for those of you who read them (and yes, I realize and lot of you don't like reading teasers). You can get the first chapter on my website (as well as see what books are on preorder, send me messages, or click on the link to my online store!)
I'm in love with this book, and yes, you'll see some teases about Phantom and what's going on in his head after what happened in Timor-Leste! :)
Enjoy the first chapter, if you're an audio person, enjoy listening to the story a week before the ebook comes out, and Happy New Year to everyone!

Happy Holidays
HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
Hanukkah started on the 22nd, Christmas is on the 25th, and Kwanzaa starts on the 26th!
I just want to wish each and every one of you a safe, happy, and healthy holiday. Hug your loved ones, smooch your pet, and take a second to reflect on the good things that have happened to you lately (instead of dwelling on the bad stuff).
You all mean the world to me and I'm lucky to have the best reader fans ever!

You guys are awesome!
I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who picked up a copy of Defending Everly last week. As a reminder this book is only on Amazon (because it's published by an Amazon-owned company) AND it's in Kindle Unlimited.
This book is also a stand-alone. Yes, it's #5 in the series, but as with all of my books, it's ONE couple's story. And they get their HEA as well. So if you've been hesitating because you aren't sure you want to come in in the middle of a series, DO IT!
I also wanted to remind you that you can see all the books of mine that are on preorder on my website here.
I'm starting a new series next year called Delta Team Two. You've met these guys in Rescuing Mary and Rescuing Macie. Shielding Gillian is the first book and I really loved how it came out. AND...my editor did too...she had THIS to say about the book (and Gillian).
"And the characterization, in particular, is EXCELLENT. I always love your men. I mean...always. But in this one, Gillian is a stand out. She's the epitome of a strong, independent woman who doesn't come across as a bitch or super cold in the process (VERY common; authors try for strong females, and instead make them come across completely unlikable). Gillian's the first heroine in a really long while that is a perfect combination of head and heart. She gets frustrated with his protectiveness, because she's human, but she's smart enough to know why he'd doing it. And more importantly, she doesn't do anything stupid to put herself in danger just because she feels a little smothered. Everything she thinks and does is sensible and, most importantly, believable. I wish every heroine I ever read was like her."
Anyway, there are a lot of great books coming out next year and I can't wait for you to read them!
I know the holidays can be tough for some people so remember to be kind to everyone you come across...even if you don't think they deserve it. You never know what someone's going through.
