In Between
There is a space, a sliver in between
Light seeping from the perimeter
Totality of the sun’s eclipse rendered
Reservation human, all that we feel
Where angels see but will not enter
Only casting a corner eye stare of envy
To the blatant, raw truth of feeling
Where none celestial may partake
The devils long for but cannot see
How love persists among such frailty
Daring not a glance, suffusing eternity
A deserved torment for ancient crimes
If we concentrate all of so many pieces
Concentrat...

Morning Glory
At first light, she is never late
Sips morning dew, her truth
Petals mirror the warming sun
Beauty in exchange for growth
What I love most is her every day
Forest surrounded, open again
Servant to all the passers by
Hope in my nature, another try

Karma Blossom
He keepscompassion in the deepest drawer of his heart
Guarded by obsidian shards around aturquoiseveil
Where he draws from his harvest of powerful goodness
Sharing seeds of his bloomto all in need of divine light
A safe harbor from the storms in the blackest of nights
Scent on the breeze drifting from memories of ancients
Leaves newly sprung shoots in the wake of his footsteps
A well long forgotten by the children of earth’s rotting paradise
Giving out freedom to all who break down in pain...
Perceptions
Perception deceives
From heaven above
The savior saves
the drowning
From depths below
The wicked drowns
the savior
Rotate the plane
From straightforward
Two loverscling
Completely sated

The Sea
Stranded on an empty shore
Searching for nothing more
Wishing for gills and fins
To swim off some of the sins
Until I spot a slight disturbance
Troubled waters they churned
Stepping no more than toe deep
Seemed a mermaid greeting me
At first I stammered in a daze
A sight with no way to explain
She appeared to be flailing
Perhaps even in distress
After a moment of pondering
I see she may be drowning
My misplaced desire to swim
Becameher last lonely hope
But will I trade my life for hers
Prese...
Music Theme – Summertime Sadness
It was my turn to choose the theme for this week. It seems that the summer months are difficult for enough people that it has become a part of our culture, even in pop music. I am too bipolar to say whether depression is a problem for me in the summer; I am subject to unprompted depression in all seasons. If I am depressed during the summer, I simply stay inside most of the time to avoid the choking heat that in itself is oppressive and ultimately depressing.
Lana inspired me to pick this the...

The Careless Fairy
My favorite fairy flits about
Landing on marigold seats
Napping in the cleft of a tree
I watch her carefully just to see
How she scratches the lion’s belly
And the way it looks oh so easy
I could be wrong, not so sure
It seems he spells danger
Careful, don’t hover so close
Bend her with the flick of his paw
Even crease her eyebrows
Ground her, pretty wings and all
I may warn her, but I am too large
My steps in her meadows
Signal a scare and guffaws
Despite my explanations
And the lion’s thri...
Discreet
Discretion begs her to keep just one bloom
Attraction lulls her from sleep once more
Not only for the one eye that adores
Her petals will spread for everyone
