Ask Not What Your Country Can Do For You, Ask What You Can Do For Your Country!

Everyone, now and then, will hear someone say, "My one vote doesn't count." If you knew your history, you might think twice before making that statement.
The election of 1948 was so close at the time the presses had to roll at the Chicago Tribune that they decided, surely Dewey was going to win, so we'll just print our papers saying he has. Here are some examples of one vote making a difference.1645: 1 VOTE gave control of England to Oliver Cromwell1649: 1 VOTE approved the beheading of Kings Charles I1800: 1 VOTE made Thomas Jefferson president instead of Aaron Burr1845: 1 VOTE brought Texas into the United States1850: 1 VOTE admitted California and Oregon into the United States1868: 1 VOTE saved President Andrew Johnson from Impeachment1875: 1 VOTE ended the monarchy in France for a voting democracy1876: 1 VOTE made Rutherford B. Hayes a United States President1876: 1 VOTE elected the Indiana Electoral College member who voted for Hayes1923: 1 VOTE placed Adolph Hitler as the leader of the Nazi Party1941: 1 VOTE kept the military draft operational just weeks before Pearl Harbor1992: 1 VOTE selected a member of the Town Council of Trinity, Alabama1992: 1 VOTE decided the final member of the Selma, Alabama city councilHow decisions that change history are determined by just a few votes.1788: 3 VOTES ratified the U.S. Constitution in New York1790: 2 VOTES ratified the U.S. Constitution in Rhode Island, making it approved in all 13 states1960: 1 VOTE changed in each precinct would have defeated John Kennedy1976: 1 VOTE changed in each Ohio precinct would have elected Gerald Ford and not Jimmy Carter1993: 1 VOTE by Al Gore approved the largest tax increase in American historyIf you want to find more up to date examples, you do the research. I'm tired of typing examples to prove my point. My other point is, like part of the name of this Post says, "Ask what you can do for your country!" I have a solution just for you. We the People, your voice in our Government.A great website where you can get involved. It has everything the Laziest Couch Potato could want, to have a say on some of the issues of today. Right at your fingertips and your keyboard. The main reason I like the website is because this is where I was able to sign a petition which I feel effects us all. Here, you can search through all the Open Petitions going on right now and sign the ones that affect your life, or you can start a petition of your own. If you feel there is something that needs to be addressed. Computers and the Internet can be used as wonderful tools in the right hands. Now take a stand, take ten minutes away from playing games, social networking, or shall I say it, you favorite porn sites and Feel the Power of Participating by Doing Something For Your Country!

Like Father Like Son?

Like most kids growing up, I loved my Father, but I was a little rebellious, and thought I would never grow up to be like him. He grew up during the Great Depression, fought in World War Two, and became a Vice President in a Corporation. Myself, I grew up during the Cold War, marched in a Protest as a Hippie during the early Seventies, and then became a Musician for next 15 years. My Father, who is now 90 years old, told me a story the other day when he was young. In one way, he said he was very lucky. He was one of the few men, his age, to have a driver's license. It wasn't very common in those days, right before the War, to have one. Well, one night, he was on a date, and at the end of the night he had to take his date home. Being the swag, cool, and debonair man that he was, my Dad, parked his car in front of his date's house, and leaned over to kiss her goodnight. Unfortunately, his left elbow pressed hard against the car horn, and blasted a note of warning to her Parents. Thinking her Father would suspect that his Daughter beep the horn, asking for help, my Dad got the Hell out of there! Now you can see how I would want to grow up, at least with a little bit more suave to my personality. I was pretty lucky too growing up. I got my driver's license when I was 16 years old. One of the first times, that I was able to get the car without supervision, I took my High School Sweet Heart, Sherry, down to Lover's Lane in South Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Our town was right on the shores of Lake Michigan, and inside Grant Park, a park which stretched between three cities and the shores of the Lake, there was a Marina. At night, the Marina's large parking lot served as Lover's Lane. To reach it, you had to drive down a winding road from on top of a hill. Being, that this was my first time to Lover's Lane, I came down the hill with my headlights a blazing. Reached the bottom of the hill and drove around the parking lot, looking for the perfect spot. Still, with my headlights a blazing. Car after car had a least one person roll down their window and yell, "Turn off those f<^%ing lights!" So I just turned on my running lights. A little embarrassed. Finally, I found the perfect spot, pulled in, and turned off the car and the lights. Acting as charming as I knew how, I leaned over, to kiss my High School Sweet Heart, when my left elbow leaned hard on the car horn. That brought out a few more expletives about my personal well-being and character. Undaunted, my girl and I kind of laughed it off, then I went in for the kill a second time. Thinking, now I would get the kiss I've been waiting for all day. My elbow hit the car horn harder this time. Blasting a note of warning to myself and my sweet heart. Only one Dude got out of his car and headed towards my car, but that was enough for me. I started the car, got the Hell out of there, and never went back to Lover's Lane inside that same particular vehicle. See, I wasn't like my Dad after all. Because he had more swag, he was a lot cooler, and was the debonair man I would never be!

"Bomb Agrabah!"

I'm late to the party on this one, Are you ready to take some revenge on Islam, and "Bomb Agrabah?" If you agree, then you are the reason we have an  "Electoral College" who actual vote for the President and Vice President of the United States. The Founding Fathers felt the the average Joe & Josephine wouldn't take it seriously enough to study the issues, listen to the Candidates, and vote with their heads instead of their hearts, like we all do for a beauty contest. So, they knew that emotions would sway over thought for the majority of the voters. My example for today?"Bomb Agrabah," Non-Existent City From Aladdin, Say A Shocking Number Of Both Democrats And Republicans by Zachary Volkert for INQUISITR on Decemer 18th, 2015
Chanting “Bomb Agrabah” might seem like a joke to hardcore fans of classic Disney films, but a recent poll found that 30 percent of Republicans and 19 percent of Democrats are convinced that the time has come to fight back against the fictional location where the 1992 animated classic Aladdin is set. Public Policy Polling recently released data on their newest survey of GOP voters. Among the most salient findings was that slightly under one of every three conservatives polled responded affirmatively to the question, “Would you support or oppose bombing Agrabah?”
Come on voters, this is an election year, in 2016.How can you blind yourself with prejudice, instead of finding out what is going on?  @ppppolls CNN just made a frightening announcement pic.twitter.com/OswjBTugQs
While it isn’t surprising that not everyone can name all of the 22 countries in the Middle East, much less all of the major metropolitan areas, it is perplexing to see such a wide margin advocating violence for a place it is impossible for them to know anything about. Tossing bombs on Agrabah because it is “Arab sounding” seems a troubling way to view foreign policy. As previously noted, it’s not just GOP voters who want to have it out with Agrabah either. PPP reported that when they asked the same question to Democrats, 19 percent — only 11 percent less than Republicans — were also on board for the bombing to start.
This is exactly why the
Republicans
want to rearrange the Electoral College landscape. To mix together the people who study the issues with those who don't. In effect, cancelling each other out. And if you can isolate the Minorities too, you can keep them from voting as one! As far as the Republican Party is concerned,  Minorities have too much say on how the Presidential Vote can be influenced. Example: President Obama's election. Then again, many of the other poll findings indicate that those who participated in the research are none too concerned with political correctness. In addition to supporting the campaign to bomb Agrabah, more than a quarter of the Republicans asked said that it should be illegal to practice Islam in the United States.Donald the prejudice Trump must love these people. He stirs the pot of hatred, aka Adolf Hitler style, to earn your vote!Apart from the “bomb Agrabah” question, PPP also more specifically honed in on which candidate its set of Republican voters had their eye on. In line with the majority of GOP primary counts, Donald is still coming in ahead of his competitors by a wide margin. Trump supporters made up 34 percent of participants, with the next candidate, Ted Cruz, coming in a full 16 percent behind him. Marco Rubio, at 13 percent, was the only other candidate to make up more than 8 percent of the vote.
What do you think the fake “Bomb Agrabah” question about Aladdin’s city says about American voters?
I know what I think
and I bet you can guess what it is too!

IQ UQ We All Q 4N IQ

I know, something must be ailing me. My IQ score has dropped. I need to eat more fish, spinach, eggs, lentils, beets, sardines, and sprinkle some flax on my morning
Hall & Oats! Then I'll be just fine. What is an IQ you ask? Well I'll take it from the horses mouth. By the way, the horses mouth is: http://www.free-iqtest.net/And they say an IQ is an Intelligence Quotient. "An assessment of your ability to think and reason. IQ score is a standardized way of comparing this ability with the majority of people the same age as you are. A score of 100 means that compared to these people in your general age group that you have basically an average intelligence. Most psychologists would say those scoring in a range of 95 to 105 are of a normal intelligence or have an average IQ. Actual IQ score may vary plus or minus five points since it is very difficult to get an IQ score with complete accuracy. Keep in mind, there are many outside factors that may have a negative impact on your score. For instance, if you are not feeling well at the time of taking the test. Or perhaps you are distracted by something on that particular day. These things may affect your score. Additionally, IQ is not the be all end all of a person's abilities in life. IQ score fails to measure things such as manual dexterity, musical talent, and a slew of other abilities that may lead one to many different successes in life. However, your score on an IQ test will give you a pretty accurate indication of the ability you possess to think, reason, and solve problems which can often be critical in many phases of your life."There are my two escape goat sentences, right in the middle of the paragraph. "Keep in mind, there are many outside factors that may have a negative impact on your score. For instance, if you are not feeling well at the time of taking the test." Ahhhh-chooooo. See, I must be under the weather to get a score like that. One hundred thirty, indeed! Wait until I write a letter of explanation to the  British Mensa Society that my score was tainted by illness and that I should belong to their little World of upper 2% geeks. And if they won't let me in their pretentious little group, I'll take my number 2 pencil and go home! So there!
This is,Eating Brain Food As We Speak,Jim Hauenstein,
And,
“Studies show that the IQ range of most creative people is surprisingly narrow, around 120 to 130. Higher IQs can perform certain kinds of tasks better, like logic, feats of memory, and so on. But if the IQ is much higher or lower than that, the window of creativity closes. Nonetheless, for some reason we believe more is better, so people yearn for tip-top IQs, and that calls for bigger memories. A fast, retentive memory is handy, but no skeleton key for survival.” - Diane Ackerman -

Is Adolf Hitler Reincarnated As Donald Trump?

"O, what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive!" Donald Trump has released his first TV AD Campaign  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AEAJrT8PeOo.After being released on YouTube 5 hours ago,
at the time of writing this,  I'm happy to say, there has been only 565 views of this hate-monger's rhetoric. I know some of you will relish in every word spoken by this prejudice Candidate for the Republican Party's nomination for the
Presidency of the United States, because he is saying exactly what it takes to stir the emotion of
hate
in everyone's mind. Hate is a powerful emotion. It can take over a sane man's mind and cloud it with insanity. It has been used for thousands of years by Megalomaniacs who believe they have the right of omnipotence over everyone because of their belief that they are the chosen. Chosen, in their own minds, to rule over the Tribe, the Town, the State, the Nation, the World. Whatever kind of power they can get a hold of. If you watch or listen to Donald Trump's TV AD and still think he is making sense, I feel sorry for this World. Because, everything he promises, cannot be fulfilled by him or anyone else in office. He is just trying to stir the juices of hate to get your vote, if he wins, then he'll blame everyone else, like Congress for why he can't get things done as President of the United States!
This is,Hoping That Having Only 565 Views Means The Public Is Finally Waking Up To His Lies,Jim Hauenstein,
And,
“The best way to take control over a people and control them utterly is to take a little of their freedom at a time, to erode rights by a thousand tiny and almost imperceptible reductions. In this way, the people will not see those rights and freedoms being removed until past the point at which these changes cannot be reversed.” - Adolf Hitler -

Beware The Panama Disease & The Black Sigatoka Fungus

Oh, what a wicked World we live in. When a disease called the Panama doesn't even make the major media outlet's headlines. Another blight on the horizon is the Black Sigatoka. A fungus, I'm afraid to say, that doesn't affect the feet of men and women. It's a fungus of a different type. They say these two infestations could wipe out mankind's most precious fruit, the Cavendish banana. What did you think I was talking about? It could happen, they say by the pessimists, within ten years! The optimists say, who cares, since there are over two hundred varieties of bananas in the World and only the Cavendish is the only one in trouble so far. First, the Cavendish banana, then what other crop will be lost since genetic engineering has made certain plants vulnerable to new diseases? I know we can synthesize whatever kind of food we want, but have you ever eaten military rations for a long period of time? I couldn't take it more than three days in a row! Save the Cavendish and you'll save the World, from eating synth food!

Robbing Peter To Pay Paul

Do you remember hearing the cliche-idiom-wisdom of your father or grandfather, where they say, "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is." The fact is, people in general, are lazy, greedy, suckers, who are born every minute. From the rich on down to the poor, sooner or later, you will be suckered in by someone. Myself included. One of the oldest schemes in the book is to "Rob Peter to pay Paul." This old cliche is from a time when the King of England demanded payment of taxes from his subjects, the Catholic Church in London - Saint Paul's - demanded taxes be paid to them under the name of donations, and the Catholic Church in Rome - Saint Peter's - demanded taxes also to be paid in the form of donations to prove your devotion to God. Of course, the poor couldn't afford all these taxes, so even though your congregation would owe the Pope in Rome more and more back taxes every year, it is always easier to "Rob Peter so you can pay Paul"  since St. Paul's was in your own backyard. When Banks became more predominate, where you no longer had to borrow money from the Church or the King, Investment Bankers already knew about a scheme that had worked for centuries. You might recognize some of the prominent schemers of the last century. Bernard Madoff, Allen Stanford, Victor Lustig, and Charles P. Bianchi, I mean Carlo P. Bianchi, err I mean Charles Ponci, err again, I really mean Charles Ponzi. He was so good at "Robbing Peter to pay Paul" that the World soon knew about him and the scheme has been named after him ever since. It's called, "The Ponzi Scheme."

A State Of Mind

Every year, on January 1st, hundreds of new California Laws go into effect that the general Public does not know about. Since, ignorance of a Law, does not exonerate you, you should probably take a little initiative and find out what might affect your life. I know every year, the magazine
Westways, which gets delivered to your front door for free if you are a member of the  AAA Roadside Assistance Program, lists the DMV or new "Driving Laws" which go into affect on the 1st. The city I live in has a few different websites, besides the local newspaper  The Press-Enterprise, like the Temecula Patch, which will tell you what they feel are the top ten to fifteen new Laws you should know about. I'm sure every State in the Union has its own way of at least trying to inform the Public what is becoming a new Law, but I can only talk about what California does, since I think I have a clue in my own home State. Anywhere else in the World? Good luck with that. You are on your own. Back to California. If you live in, what I like to call - A State Of Mind - California has a webpage that you can sift through the hundreds of new Laws and the thousands of changes to the already existing California Constitution, Statutes, and Codes. The  California Legislative Information. Maybe sifting through all the mumbo jumbo that even a good Lawyer can't memorize, you'll find the gumption to start a Ballot Initiative or a Referendum to change what you feel are unfair legislation. Except the Law AB 1100 has changed the fee you'll have to pay the Attorney General from $200 to $2,000. Making, getting involved, that much more costly.
