Here Are The 5 Best Posts Of February, 2016

I know what you are going to say."Two Buck, the Earth's rotation is uneven, the days a growing longer at an alarming rate of about two thousandths of a second per century, and the rate at which days are lengthening also increases over time. A normal day has 86,400 seconds, but in the atomic time scale 1 second is not defined as one 86,400th of the time it takes Earth to rotate around its axis but rather as the time it takes a Cesium-133 atom at the ground state to oscillate precisely 9,192,631,770 times. This is why we need Leap years. To keep our modern day Gregorian calendar in alignment with the Earth's revolutions around the sun. It takes the Earth approximately 365.242189 days – or 365 days, 5 hours, 48 minutes, and 45 seconds – to circle once around the Sun. This is called a tropical year, and is measured from the March equinox. However, the Gregorian calendar has only 365 days in a year, so if we didn't add a leap day on February 29, this year and every four years after, we would lose almost six hours off our calendar every year. After only 100 years, our calendar would be off by around 24 days! So, you can't say, "Here Are The 5 Best Posts of February, 2016," because you have one more day and tomorrow's Post could be a doozy!"See, I knew exactly what you were going to say. But too bad. I'm starting the "Hauenstein Calendar," and instead of adding an extra day every four years, I'm going to add to my wind up time piece,.0136986301369863 hours per day, .1315068493150685 minutes per day, .1232876712328767 seconds per day, and we'll be just fine. We won't need a Leap Year anylonger. So, without further ado, "Here Are The 5 Best Posts Of February, 2016!
Número Cinco:  "Should We Ever Change Our Beloved Icons?"The shocking, but humorous, true story of how Warner Bros. (They are the ones who change all their logos to Bros.) are changing the Scooby Doo franchise into a bunch of Super Heroes and the Doo getting an Bionic Eye!
Número Cuatro: "Michael Belcher - Go Fund Me" A very serious story about someone I know who's cancer was once in remission but has come back. Please, if you can, help by donating to his Go Fund Me page, and maybe we can save, at least one victim at a time. Until there is a cure.
Número Tres:    "Can't Get No Satisfaction Unless We Follow What Our Idols Tell Us What To Do"A mysterious phenomenon on how Celebrities and Commercials influence our buying power. I know it happens, but for me, it never worked. I've been watching, and enjoying, those GEICO commercials for years, but I still went with the cheaper, with better coverage, auto insurance.
Número Dos:    "Computer Driven Cars Are On My List To Hack!" An insane idea, that if we let computers do our driving for us, without us having any control over the computers, that Cyber Terrorism will not take advantage of the situation, and cause major accidents during rush hour on our highways with a Cyber Bomb!
Número Uno:    "Theory Of Obscurity" A Post about my fascination with the Avant-garde Rock Band,  The Residents. A picture tells a thousand words!
One Post gets the Grammy's Lifetime Achievement Award for being in a category all its own.

Número Uno Música: "El Salvador"A music video that will get your Political Juices going! I wonder if the rock band "Two Buck Howie With The Exact Change" will ever get the chance to backup "The Residents" on stage one day?
This is,A proud groupie of the bands Two Buck Howie With The Exact Change and The Residents,Jim Hauenstein.
And,
“Some guy said to me: Don't you think you're too old to sing rock n' roll? I said: You'd better check with Mick Jagger.” - Cher -
That's my story and I'm sticking to it!
Please give if you can to the Michael Belcher cancer fund.

Theory Of Obscurity

The Oxford Dictionarydefines the word  Avant-garde, if you use it as a noun as,"New and unusual or experimental ideas, especially in the arts, or the people introducing them."
Or, as an adjective,"Favoring or introducing experimental or unusual ideas."
My favorite explanation is from someone, who took the time, to write an article for  Wikipedia,"The avant-garde pushes the boundaries of what is accepted as the norm or the status quo, primarily in the cultural realm. The avant-garde is considered by some to be a hallmark of modernism, as distinct from postmodernism. Many artists have aligned themselves with the avant-garde movement and still continue to do so, tracing a history from Dada through the Situationists to postmodern artists such as the Language poets around 1981."  However you want to describe it, it is something that is so unusual, that at first you may think, "This isn't Art, or Theater, or Music, or Literature! It's vulgar, childish, or bizarre!"
But, then it draws you in, and you begin to understand it and enjoy it.During my youth, the first Avant-garde Artist I enjoyed would have been  David Bowie. Of course, I knew about Salvador Dali, and the pre-Hippie group, the Beatniks. But my introduction came from  Bowie. Others soon followed, like Brian Eno,  Laurie Anderson, and when  Patti Smith first came out on the scene. There are so many to choose from that I only picked the ones that I could remember right away. But nothing, in my lifetime so far, has ever compared to the Art, Music, and  Visuals the group The Residentshas demonstrated over the years.I first saw them play a gig in Milwaukee, Wisconsin,in the middle 1980s.I didn't know the band at all, but my date did.She wore a large black garbage bag as a dress with a hole in it to expose her left breast. That was my personal introduction to The Residents. Yes, I have loved them ever since. Not just because of that one event, but I was so enthralled watching them live, that I bought all their albums soon afterwards.(CDs hadn't come out yet.) I'm happy to say that they still tour and you can see where and when on their website.http://www.residents.com/home/page1/index.htmlWhat I'm really excited about is the new movie about their careers coming out later this year called,Theory Of Obscurity
I can't wait!

Can't Wait For That All Under The Age Of 14 Militia Coming To A Town Near You

And when you thought people couldn't get any more ignorant, here comes the "Iowa Lawmakers, (Who) Approve Bill That Would Let Kids Have Handguns." By Kim Bellware for The Huffington Post.
I thought Texas had a bunch of Jackasses  for Lawmakers,"Texas 'open carry' law passes, allowing guns in holsters on the street." The Guardian."Texas lawmakers approved carrying handguns openly on the streets of the nation’s second most populous state on Friday, sending the bill to the Republican governor, Greg Abbott, who is expected to sign it and reverse a ban dating to the post-civil war era." I'm sure all Iowans were so upset by Texas beating them out on the "Open Carry Law,"that the only thing they could think of to do,to be ahead of them in ignorance was to "Give Guns To Children.""Children of all ages in Iowa would be able to lay down their toy guns and pick up the real thing under a bill that passed the state House of Representatives. Statehouse Republicans, including the bill's sponsor, Rep. Jake Highfill, said the the legislation was an issue of parents' rights designed to correct "an injustice in Iowa code” that now forbids children 14 and younger from handling pistols. Allowing people to learn at a young age the respect that a gun commands is one of the most important things you can do,” Highfill told The Washington Post on Wednesday. The alternative, he said, is “turning 18 with no experience.”Turning 18 with no experience is a bad thingIf we only had a system that could teach someone how to handle a gun?I know that setting up Classes at a Firing Range with Professionally Trained Marksman to teach people, Under Age,how to handle a firearm, would be insane if we didn't have these moronic Laws. But couldn't the Law have specified, before a youth was allowed to have a pistol, even under parental supervision,he would have to have these Classes With A Professionaland then be Certified before he got a gun?If you ask me,most parents don't know how to handle a gun. I already know a lot of grownups who carried gunsand they didn't have a clue on the safety issue. If some of them weren't in jail alreadyand the other half dead from self inflicted wounds,I wouldn't want their children carrying guns around if they had been taught by their foolish parents who thought it was cool just to carry one!
If you are thinking of getting a gun, check these websites out and maybe we will have one less accidental shooting. National Handgun Safety Course or Education & Training

Get This - I Agree With A CEO

“I think safety of the public is incredibly important. Safety of our kids, safety of our families is very important,” Cook explained. “The protection of people’s data is incredibly important and so the trade-off here is that we know that doing this could expose people to incredible vulnerabilities. This is not something that we would create. This would be bad for America and it would also set a precedent that I believe many people in America would be offended by.” Apple CEO Tim Cook
Story by Yoni Helaler for BGR.com
I agree with him.Once you set a precedence, there is no telling where over zealous Government Officialswill take it. "It is easy to think – “It won’t happen to me” – when one hears of a person wrongly accused or convicted of a heinous crime. However, the lack of critical judicial examination of police agency arrest and search warrant affidavits creates an environment where any one of us at any time can have our life shattered by being falsely implicated in a capital crime. That is the cautionary message of Brandon Mayfield’s saga of how he was wrongly fingered by the FBI as an international terrorist involved in murderous bombings in a country he has never visited." Story by Hans Sherrer for JusticeDenied.orgRemember,it's never like you see on TV.Finger-prints are still done by one person comparing two different photos of finger-printsand if one is only a partial or is blurry, that one person has to make a decision on someone's life.Right or wrong. "After Mayfield’s arrest, his wife Mona told reporters, I think it’s crazy. We haven’t been outside the country for 10 years. They found only a part of one fingerprint. It could be anybody. Her words in defense of her husband were soon to prove prophetic."People make mistakes and Law Enforcement Officersare people.Officers will often convince themselves that they know,Without A Doubt, who the perpetrator of a crime is even without having sufficient evidence to back their theories. This leads to evidence plantingand frame-ups. And when was the last time the Government admitted they made a mistake on a criminal case? Ask the two men who spent 40 years in jail for a crime they didn't commit.http://abcnews.go.com/US/men-walk-free-40-years-prison-crime-commit/story?id=27095382 “This case is not about one phone, this case is about future, Cook passionately articulated.  What is at stake here is, can the government compel Apple to write software that we believe would make hundreds of millions of customers vulnerable around the world, including the U.S.?” Tim CookIf you don't believe our Governmentwould do anything in the way of harming its citizens, ask the people who where given acid during the 1960s without their knowledge.Ask them how there lives turned out.http://healthland.time.com/2012/03/23/the-legacy-of-the-cias-secret-lsd-experiments-on-america/

Anonymously Anonymous

"Anonymous hackers released the personal information of 52 Cincinnati police officers as retaliation for the Paul Gaston fatal police shooting earlier this month. The “hacktivist” group deemed the shooting of a black man with an air-soft toy gun was murder. The hackers said that Paul Gaston never pointed the toy gun at police, but a white man with a similar replica gun did just that a day earlier, and lived. The Anonymous Anon Verdict hackers posted the Cincinnati Police Department video to YouTube on Sunday. The personal information of the 52 Cincinnati police officers included details about everyone from entry-level patrolmen up to Police Chief Eliot Isaac."
By Tara Dodrill for Inquisitr.
When are we going to have justice for all? If you would like to see the video of Police shooting Paul Gaston, the link is;http://ht.ly/YwrZ6By M. David on Counter Current News.I've seen articles where "These Cops Are so Fed Up with Corruption They’re Suing Their Own Department"andColorado To Fine Cops $15,000 Every Time They Try To Stop You From Recording Them and Cop Reveals That ‘Planting Evidence And Lying’ Are Just ‘Part Of The Game.’ Not all Police are evil or corrupt.Yet, I know by talking to someone who became a Sheriff how the mentality has changed from,"To Protect And Serve"to"Us Against Them." When he was in the academy,he was told that he could no longer be with his old friends. His new companions had to be other Law Enforcement Officers. He was told he had to be in control of all situations at all times because it could be a matter of lifeand death.Even with his family. He went from being a caring person to being a control freak.I'm happy to say he has calmed down since he first became a Sheriffand he is one of the good guys. "The cellphone footage of the Paul Gaston shooting shared in the Anonymous video was reportedly taken by bystanders from three different angles. Cincinnati police officers said Gaston was reaching for something that appeared to be a gun. Anonymous and some witnesses said his hands were raised and he never reached for anything before being shot."Who to believe?Police Officers, who we were taught growing up where there to protect us,or a video showing these particular Cops are lying?
I went to Court one day on a traffic ticket I forgot to payand outside in the hallway I heard two Officers talking. One said to the other,"Don't worry about Probable Cause when you pull someone over. Everyone is guilty of something!"So,do you think you're safe because you think you're a good citizen?
That's a true story.I swear to God!

Trans-Orbital

OK, it may not be a mystery to you, but a one hundred year old drawing depicting a duck and a rabbit at the same time is gaining a lot of attention on the internet. If you look from right to left, you will see the duck first, if you look from left to right you will see the rabbit first, if you see both at the same time, I don't know what is wrong with you.
You need a Lobotomy! "Before solving the duck or rabbit optical illusion puzzle, it might be helpful to know that the image was first used by American psychologist Joseph Jastrow in 1899, as reported by Australia News on February 15. The drawing itself was first published in a German magazine in 1892. According to Jastrow, the quicker one can switch from one animal to the other, the more creative a person is. But was Jastrow right – as in the case of many former psychologists? Take the test and see how creative you are! This rabbit or a duck answer reveals a lot about you. If you are a person who tends to look – as it is want when reading a line – from left to right, you most likely will see a duck at first. If you are in the habit of scanning something from right to left – as many dyslexics do – you will most likely see the rabbit first." By Tina Burgess for examiner.com
So, according to this Jastrow guy, I'm dyslexics. Unless, we take into account that I might have gone to school in the Middle East. They read from left to right and so do the great anime artist of  Japan. Write and read from the left to right.Well, what did they know back in 1899. Sigmund Freudthought all children had sexual cravings for their parents! That is also when the great Lobotomy Craze was just about to start in full swing! They even gave the nut,Egas Moniz, not a lobotomy, but the Nobel Prize for creating his procedure in 1949!
This is,I'm Going For The Quick - Behind The Eyeballs Method - Called The Trans-Orbital Lobotomy - Now Won't That Be Fun,Jim Hauenstein,
And,
“In 1949, neurologist Egas Moniz (1874-1955) received a Nobel Prize for his discovery of ‘the therapeutic value of leucotomy in certain psychoses’. Today, prefrontal leucotomy is derided as a barbaric treatment from a much darker age, and it is to be hoped that, one day, so too might antipsychotic drugs.” - Neel Burton -

That's my story and I'm sticking to it!
Please help and give to the Michael Belcher cancer fund.
Like what you are reading? Are you reading from left to right,or right to left?I think you need a Lobotomy my friend. Then you will set up my Blog as your Homepage,or you will sign up as a Follower,or you could possibly leave a Comment, and then I would answer you in a Post.
Thanks for the Lobotomy.

Another Hackable Device For Your Car's Computer

Another solution to track your every movement and keep "Big Brother" in the loop, on all your travels. They'll be able to track, real-time, what stores you shop at, if you go to church on the weekends, if you go to the bar after work, if you assemble with groups of people, and use this information to determine if you are suspicious of any criminal activity even if you may not know you have been doing any. Remember, knowledge is power, and power is control. The latest device, unlike the  Google self driving car, is  Samsung's Dongle LTE
It is a plug-in device for your car."Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd is helping drivers embark on a new journey through its ground-breaking connected car solution, Samsung Connect Auto. Providing benefits to consumers and businesses alike, Samsung is delivering an ecosystem of services and products to enable a safer, more Eco-friendly and more fun driving experience. Consumers gain comfort knowing their vehicle is secure, and enterprises gain productivity through fleet management capabilities and services offered by Samsung as well as partners. We already have  OnStar on-board a lot of vehicles. If you didn't know by now,  Law Enforcement already has the availability to turn on your OnStar remotely, without you knowing, and can listen to your conversations and track your movements.  Google's Self Driving Car  will be controlled completely by a computer and we all know how safe computers can be. Now,  Samsung wants us to believe another  Web Device  that you'll be able to install on your car will be  Hacker Free!  No computer or computer system is completely secure. Given enough patience and time, any computer or computer system can and will be Hacked. Not by me mind you. I just write the obvious. Warning that, if you put all your faith in any one system, it's like asking the plan that you are flying, to crash land safely, with no hands.

Are You Ready For The Van Der Waals Revolution?

Unlike the  Plastic Revolution, which nobody seemed to notice, and much like the  Industrial Revolution, which everyone quickly hears about during their grade school years, the latest  Revolution which will come and change our lives is the  Van Der Waals Forces."In physical chemistry, the van der Waals forces (or van der Waals' interaction), named after Dutch scientist Johannes Diderik van der Waals, are the residual attractive or repulsive forces between molecules or atomic groups that do not arise from a covalent bond, or electrostatic interaction of ions or of ionic groups with one another or with neutral molecules."
The you Wikipedia.
Basically, it is what creatures like spiders, ants, and everyone's favorite, the Gecko  use to climb up walls, glass, and hang upside down on your ceiling. I've seen several shows on the different studies being down around the World and the wonderful inventions soon to be coming our way. Everything from removable tape, where you can hang devices or paintings anywhere on any wall in your house or office, to wearable gloves. For safely climbing up skyscrapers. You get the idea. A great example of the future is the "Tiny Robot" that weighs 20 milligrams but can carry 500 milligrams or pull 2,000 times its own weight. Watch the  YouTube video at  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JPUAmtlLkeQWe will all soon be able to hang anything anywhere, including ourselves.
If you missed the TV show  "Telescope" on the Discovery Channel  yesterday, the Science Channel will be broadcasting the show today at 9 P.T. If you love everything about space like I do, you will want to see this show.
This is,Hoping For A New Telescope - Soon - To Be Delivered To My House As A Surprise,Jim Hauenstein,
And,
“Unlike what you may be told in other sectors of life, when observing the universe, size does matter, which often leads to polite ‘telescope envy’ at gatherings of amateur astronomers.”

Last Day Of Reruns

I finally made it to the end of the week. You know what? I am actually starting to feel a little bit better. I slept straight through the night without any hot and cold sweats. I'm a little dizzy. But that could be from the  Rock & Roll lifestyle I raged throughout my body during the 1980s,
early 90s! Now my body is a temple and I hardly ever, ever abuse it with SexDrugs, & Rock N' Roll! It might have a lot to do with being out of shapeor the shape I'm in. Since it's the end of the week, I still wanted to end with a fan favorite. Right out of the time capsule of June 10th, 2015.
Two True Americans

I heard a wonderful story last night on
ABC's Nightline.
The story was about
Dan Price.CEO
and founder of
"Gravity Payments"
in Seattle. What this man did recently,
was cut his salary from 1 million dollars a year,
to $70,000.00 a year! All because he wanted to find a way for his 149 employees to receive a raise this year.Everyone who works for
Gravity Payments
now has an annual salary of $70,000.00.Dan Price
started the company in 2004
and now feels,
to help his company grow larger
and to be more competitive in the future,
it all starts with having a strong employee base who believe in the company they are working for. Also on the program was
Nick Hanauer,
who is a
Venture Capitalist. He is part of the 1% of elite rich Americans. He predicts,
that if the top 1% doesn't turn this trend around,
of the rich getting richer
and the poor getting poorer,
ending in a two class system,
(which I have commented on in this Blog many times)
this country will eventually turn into a
Police State.Summarizing his belief;
A two class system can only lead to three things,
violence against the rich elitists,
a Police State,
or a revolution against the existing Government. Now,
if only the rest of the 1% would come to their senses,
the Republicans would stop fighting against the
President's Healthcare plan,
(they are still trying to outlaw Obama Care through Supreme Court hearings as I write this Post)
and Companies in this country voluntarily raise their employee pay scale
(by cutting back on their company's Executive Bonuses),
this country can once again call itself,
"The Land Of The Free!"Because I'm not the only one storing up ammunition,
weapons,
explosives,
and food to put an end to this discrepancy!Or am I?
This is,
After I Wrote This Post - Dan Price Is Now Being Sued By His Brother - A Stock Holder - On The Grounds His Pay Raises Would Hinder His Profits - And Of Course The 1% Of Rich Americans Did Not Heed Nick Hanauer's Advice - Only Time Will Tell If He Was Right,
Jim Hauenstein,
And,

"If a free society cannot help the many who are poor, it cannot save the few who are rich." - John F. Kennedy -That's my story and I'm sticking to it!

A Statue To Commemorate Cannibalism

Feeling a little better. Still, I'm wondering why finding the Donner-Reed Party on this date in history is significant. Someone actually put up a monument to a group of people who resorted to cannibalism to survive. I know, if I was in that situation, I would do anything to survive, except killing someone. I think life is too precious to lose without putting up a fight. But I would not want to be immortalized for it!I'm also wondering how this leads into my next fan favorite Post:

A Step Further  In my previous Post,I mentioned how people who can afford to pay for items should.Yes,
I live by this policy.Let us clarify something first.I no longer have the urge to own everything I want.Example;
So far this year I've only bought one hard cover book. And that was a present to some really good friends of mine.Today,
I go to the library to check out
and read the books I'm interested in
or download a magazine,
comic book,
or a book on my
"Nook."I've bought only one complete CD this year,
because I can select the kind of music I want to listen to on programs like
"Pandora"
or
"I Heart Radio."(There are dozens of such programs out there.)But,
for movies,
I believe the
"Theater"
experience brings a certain kind of entertainment all its own.I saw
"The Avengers; Age of Altron,"
in 3D.I enjoy the sight
and sounds of a movie in the theater. I still rent DVDs from
"Red Box."Because of the experience of sitting with my whole family
and watching a movie together.I pay for
Netflix,
Hulu Plus,
and
Amazon Instant Video
so my family can watch movies
and TV shows when they want to.Not only the newest shows,
but shows from years gone by that we can experience again together.I record sporting events on my
HD DVR Recorder,
so I can pause,
rewind,
fast forward,
and finish watching a two to three hour event in three to four sittings.Of course,
I could use a
"Torrent"
and get everything for free,
but then I would be missing out on all these experiences,
with my family,
on all the different types of formats the new technologies bring to Reading Materials,
listening to Music,
watching TV Shows,
and the Movie Experience. If I couldn't afford it,
I wouldn't be doing it.What is money for,
but to help make your life
Easier,
Happier,
and
 Healthier.Other than that,
I see no use in it.So as long as I can afford to do these things which make my life more enjoyable,
I'll keep on doing them.
This is,
Buying My Dead Pool Movie Ticket For A Sunday Showing,
 Jim Hauenstein,
And,
"Music is the strongest form of magic." - Marilyn Manson -
That's my story and I'm sticking to it!
