Do to the Big Game today, I will be taking the day off. Superbowl 50
will be broadcast on CBS. I will be back tomorrow, to write those witty, insightful, educational, ingenious, didactic, knowledgeable, and all around humorous Posts you come to know and love. So here are some websites to help you enjoy the Big Game. (Besides the two I already mentioned.)NFL.comCBS Sports.comCarolina PanthersDenver BroncosNFL NetworkAnd, if you are overseas, can't get American TV Channels, or just don't want to pay for watching the Big Game, go to First Row Sports, and watch it for free. Just remember, don't click on any advertisement or pop-ups which say you need to download their app to watch the game. It is all bull. Now, I'm hoping the FBI is not reading my Blog right about now, because the website I told you about, to watch the Big Game for free, is illegal!

Should We Ever Change Our Beloved Icons?
Yesterday, I asked to be inspired. Today, I'm asking, "What is going on in this World?" Five iconic figures are being revamped for the 21st Century. I first saw these figures back in 1968. They are not iconic because they are Super Heroes, Rock Musicians, a Hollywood or Broadway Entertainment Troupe. They are iconic because, before the age of Reality TV, this group of individuals were already chasing down leads to the Loch Ness Monster, Big Foot, Ghosts, the reality of Vampires, Frankenstein's Monster, the Mummy, Aliens, and all the other Mythical Creatures of the night. They had Hollywood Guests on their show way before it became trendy. And they have been honored by some of the most influential Scholars Of Our Time. What am I talking about? The revamping of the iconic characters of Scooby Doo! Shaggy now has a handlebar mustache, and tattoos. Fred and Daphne carry big guns. Velma has a look to her where it says, "I don't take shit from anyone." And Scooby Doo has a Bionic Eye! You want proof? http://www.msn.com/en-us/video/watch/dc-comics-new-take-on-scooby-doo-is-something-thats-for-sure/vp-BBp8ugz?ocid=bingvid1&OCID=ML133I

Inspire Me
I am having a problem today. Maybe Electric Dave was right? Maybe my mental capabilities have been waning a bit. I wanted to write on a subject today that would keep the momentum I've gained over the past couple of days. After releasing the music video; El Salvador, on February 3rd, and then writing about how wonderful it is that more people are starting to Comment on what I write. Keep The Comments Coming, I wanted to write something groundbreaking, or influential, or humorous, or just something so astounding that your teeth would fall out of your mouth from all the grinding they would be doing while you read what I wrote. But alas, my mind's a blank. First, I wanted to talk about how Icebergs Were Found On Pluto. Then I thought, maybe I should write about how smartly the Producer's of the latest season of the X-Files have smartly used today's conspiracies to update the paranoid Mulder and the Skeptic Scully. Then I thought a

Keep The Comments Coming!
Man, I failed at my own regiment that I set up for myself when I started writing this Blog. I haven't checked my "Comment" section of late. It tells me all the wonderful observations by my readers.Sometimes they are sarcastic remarks by my distractors, sometimes a pat on the back by people who agree with me, and always those extraordinary angry voices that are expressed by some of my friends and Scholars from around the World, when I touch a nerve. I welcome all elocutionists, be they friend or foe, to Comment on my Posts. But in return, I get to voice my opinion on what is written down by anyone willing to Comment. Of course,
it is sad to say, I have alienated two of my best annotators from last year,Yaz 129 & Kathleen, by expressing my opinions on how they live their lives. But it's hard not to be judgmental in life when you think someone is not living up to their potential. Still, slowly but surely, people like Shelia, Jeff, Electric Dave, and a person who always signs off as Anonymous, (Not The Hacker Group) write on some of my Posts that move them in some kind of direction, be it in there hearts, mind, or I just piss them off. Shelia expresses how she likes or loves a Post, never Commenting on the ones she doesn't feel good about, making debating anything she says impossible. Yet, without her positive feedback, I could lose sight of the entertainment I do give some people. Jeff, a man of few words, usually is the same way, but will send me a video or an email showing me something he believes I would enjoy. Electric Dave, the only real Scholar that I know of who reads this Blog, always pops in and out at the strangest times, leaving witty assertions on my mental capabilities. (Electric, I'll have you know, I dropped out of more colleges, four, then you ever attended and graduated at, two! So there!) Anonymous did Comment on my Post, This Is Better Than Watching Sports On TV. Stating, "maybe instead of ID's the government could require a certain level of IQ to vote. who is your source for the statement that the "Government wonders why people think voting is a waste of time?" He is right of course. I made an assumption that our Government wonders why people think voting is a waste of time, when in reality, the News Media outlets are the ones who tell us the Voters are apathetic. PBS News Hour, The Guardian, ColorLines, CBC News, SheBudgets, and I could go on and on since the search engine I used says there are 10,800,000 results on the subject of the News Media telling us we are apathetic! So, Anonymous, you were right to point out my error and keep me in line with the facts. That is what the Comment section is for.Still, if you don't see how your Neanderthal,or how prejudice your statement is, about requiring an IQ test to ascertain a persons voting capabilities, then I know you are just as happy and content to let other people tell you how to run your life, as we slowly loose our freedoms through the "Patriot Act."
(Did you like the way I turned that into a Political Comment on my part? Ah, words from the right mouth can do so much.)

Advice Should Only Be Given When Asked For
I know nobody comes to my Blog for advice, even though I seem to spew out as many anecdotes on life as the next guy, but I do try to be inspirational when I get that bug up my ass. Now, however, The Guardian has come up with the perfect columnist that surely will outshine any thing that I might come up with. I mean, anyone who sang about having sex in a movie theater is someone we all should adhere to,
on there every word about life, right?
Queen of 90s alt rock, Alanis Morissette, will be offering up good advice that you just should take in a new column at The Guardian Weekend magazine. The 41-year-old singer will be responding to the romantic woes and moral quandaries of readers beginning next week. (Already started on January 16th.) I was getting bored with just one form, Morissette said in an interview with The Guardian. Songs are my favorite, let’s be honest. But there’s a limitation: it’s just three or four minutes. In a podcast, or in a column, there’s an intimacy and vulnerability on my part and the questioner’s part. We’re going for it, and there’s no hiding. The self-described therapy girl, said that writing the column is a natural fit of sorts. It’s been the role I’ve played my whole life – family therapist, Morissette said. Parents, brothers, even extended family members, that was the role I took on, because I suppose I had this combination of intuition and empathy. I cut my teeth, basically, listening for a living. The advice column previously belonged to 80s star Molly Ringwald who, ostensibly, answered questions about being painfully shy, yet wanting the coolest boy at school to notice you. Morissette’s column began January 16, please send her all of your questions about revenge, bad boyfriends, and traffic jams when you’re already late. By Stassa Edwards for Jezebel.

This Is Better Than Watching Sports On TV
Are you ready for the Iowa Caucuses? Well, we are finally here. A chance to get out our number two pencils and mark the ballot of who should win the Presidential primaries! Then we get that little oval shaped sticker which reads"I Voted."

Won't that be nice?We are going to start today, as a Nation, picking who will be the Democratic and Republican nominations for President of the United States. First it's Iowa, on February 9th, its New Hampshire, and then we get into the mess where States force you to register as a Democrat or Republican before you can vote. February 20thin Nevada, Democrats get to vote for their choice as who they feel should be their candidate and three days later the Republicans get their chance to vote on who should be theirs. If you think that is foolish, by not letting people vote for whomever they feel is the best candidate from any party, on March 1st, Alaskan Republicans get to vote for their candidate while the Alaskan Democrats have to wait until March 26th for their chance. And the Government wonders why people think voting is waste of time. I know you Trump fans love this news which came out last night right before the Iowa Caucuses; “Donald Trump has the highest unfavorable rating since Gallup began tracking the indicator for nominated candidates from either political party during the 1992 elections. Just two days before the Iowa caucuses, 60 percent of Americans surveyed view Trump unfavorably, versus 33 percent who see him favorably.” By Todd Beamon for Newsmax. We can only hope.

I Feel Better Now That I've Said It
I have a confession to make. I never wanted to talk about this subject for fear my Father would read about it. I'm proud to say he is still alive and as sharp as a tack. I'm afraid though, if he knew more about what I'm going through, I would disappoint him or I could hurt him somehow, inside. I know, foolish me. But, what bothers me, bothers me constantly today, and for some reason, deep down, I feel if I write about what it is that is bothering me, I might release myself of my personal disappointment I have for myself. I always tell my kids not to regret the mistakes they'll make in life, because they are learning experiences. If you never fail, you can never feel the joy of victory. We all make mistakes and it's what you learn from your mistakes which helps you grow as a person. I have fought many daemons throughout my life. From a shy child in grade school, who would shake terribly throughout his whole body if I had to stand up in front of class, to eventually becoming a salesman, where I had to talk to people ten hours a day. (Schools in my day passed every student no matter how poorly they did.) Now my kids tell me I talk too much, to almost everyone I meet. Thinking back, I have written on this subject before in my April 15th, 2015 Post, It Takes Away Your Precious Time!I suggest taking a peak at it. My daemons I have to fight off today, is all about alcohol. I haven't had a drink since New Years Eve and I don't plan on having any. I guess being ill from the flu and having pneumonia has weakened my resolve, because all night I've been thinking just one shot will help me get the sleep I need. I'm not saying I would become a raging alcoholic from just one shot, but thinking that a shot will help me, is what starts the cycle of fooling yourself. The time I had last year, visiting my friend up at Big Bear Lake, was a lot of fun, and we only drank some Irish Cream with our meals. That's the way to enjoy life. Not by wasting away everyday or night by getting buzzed. But by being with friends and family with a level head.

Dime Stories
Ever since the late ninety-fifties there has been a ton of open mike nightsand poetry slams for poets, but slim pickings for the prose. Now, for the writer, we have the "Dime Stories." A 3 minute story read by their Author. The avenues for the writer are in Oceanside, Temecula, Orange County, California and Albuquerque, New Mexico. The open mic in Temecula is held at 6:30 p.m. on the last Fridays of every month. (Friday, February 26th, and Friday, March 25th, 2016.) So, if you have a story that needs to be told, which is around 500 words in length, come to the
Wine Country Art Gallery
34567 Rancho California Road, Temecula, CA 92592. Tell your story or just come out to have a glass or two of wine and enjoy listening to new artists.

5 Best Posts of January, 2016
I know it is only the 29th of January and I still have two days left to the month, but my brain is still pretty funky and dizzy from a bout of the flu with Pneumonia. So I'm hoping you don't mind if I do the 5 Best Posts Of January, 2016 now. If not, here it goes anyways.Number 5 Post is: Is Adolf Hitler Reincarnated As Donald Trump? The name of the Post kinds of says it all. But, I also remember a Politician back in the the seventies who ran on a platform, like Mister Trump's, where he says he can make things happen in Washington even though he isn't a Washington insider. And that President had a majority in the House and the Senate and still couldn't get anything done. His name? President Jimmy Carter.Number 4 Post is: Calling All Readers. The humorous side to the billion dollar Power Ball Lottery and how I asked people not to buy tickets to give me a better chance.Number 3 Post is: Resurrectionist Is My Kind Of Work.My attempt to keep motivating people in this World and telling them to never give up hope on finding that job that they'll love.Number 2 Post is: Like Father Like Son? The true stories about my Dad and myself. We actually went through the same kind of embarrassing moment on a date, I would say twenty years apart.Number 1 Post of January, 2016 is: The Infamous Greatest Maritime Disaster In United States History. A Ghost story I wrote about on the true event in American History. Post Civil War.
