I'm Feeling A Week Of Reruns
Only if I was feeling better, I would write a story about the Six members of a non-violent student group from the University of Munich who were arrested for their campaign of writing
and distributing leaflets critical of Hitler's regime. They will be found guilty of treason and beheaded. They were called the White Rose. If you like history, it's a part of history you don't hear much about. Young people who stood up to an awful regime and paid the ultimate price, their lives. Not unlike what happened to Egypt a few years back.Another Fan favorite Post of mine from November 2nd,2013.The Future of Torrents
Actually,it's your future without Torrents.
What everyone should be thinking about on this subject is the underlining reasons behind the dismantling of the peer to peer web sites called Torrents.Even if you have never used one,the end result of this crackdown going on around the World,will eventually affect each of you.
The"Taking Down"of these sites is happening pretty much on a regular basis as soon as they can find the owner of a sites.They call these owners Pirates.
You barely hear about it in today's media since they too are invested in keeping ownership of copyrighted material as a commodity.Coverage is mostly limited to,online magazines sites,such as
"Torrent Freak,"
and chat rooms.
One chat room was recently exposed as being set up by the U.S. Government to sucker people into exposing themselves.I'm going to concentrate on the Entertainment side of this issue, but all copyrighted material showing up on peer to peer web sites can be argued against their availability by the anti-Torrent supportersand for it by Torrent defenders.
Politicians,Police Task Forces,Publishers,Producers,Programmers,and the Entertainment Business,(The MPAA in particular),would have you believe that if one person is getting copyrighted material through a peer to peer website it will soon mean the end of the World as we know it!
I have read where the MPAA claims that because of Piracy,the Entertainment Industry is losing jobs that could be saved if they could only make more money.
I find that extremely hard to believe.
In a World where so many affluent people are trying for that"One World Economy,"(Hollywood types included,)and the Republicans are working for a two class system in America,(Consisting of only the Rich & the Poor),Employers find it is much easier to double the workload on existing Employees instead of hiring new ones.
Getting more work done for the same expense is bringing in higher profits.The long term effect of stress on an individual's healthand the related mentaland physical mistakes being made on the quality of work being performed by employees from companies using this tactic,has yet to be felt in our society.
From what I have read or witnessed personally here in the U.S.,companies making more money are looking for further ways to increase their profits by decreasing the hours of full time workers whenever possible.
Eventually,
hoping to employ only part time workers.
When this happens,these companies won't have to invest in employee health benefits any longer,giving paid vacations,and pouring money into the Federal Government's mandated Unemployment Fund.
Higher profits,higher greed potential,more money for the rich.
We are also led to believe by the MPAA that the poor coffers of theRich and Famousin Hollywood could be a lot fuller if these criminals were incarcerated.This would effectively have rich people spending that extra money,stimulating the economy,and helping individuals with lower income when the money trickles down to them.
Making everyone's life better.

The heart of the matter is,
not that the Entertainment Industry is losing money,
which they could use to save jobs with,
it's about these Entities trying to grab as much money as they still can and trying to hold onto their dinosaur of an Industry.
An Industry that made these people greedy rich tycoons in the first place.
The Entertainment Business,like all businesses,are constantly changing with the times.
These people can't change with it.
The Gaming Industry,(not Casinos),like PlayStation,Xbox,and Wii all had sales that surpassed theMusic and Movie Industries combined.Those two dinosaurs might not be going away anytime soon,but they are no longer what the future holds as the number one Entertainment Business in the World.
I'm not a Futurist,but I can pretty much bet with confidence that something will come along replacing Gaming as the number one Entertainment Business too.
It's the same as what is happening to computer sales because of smart phones.We'll always need computers,but not everyone in the World needs one since their phone does everything an average person wants.
Back in the 1970's,the Music Industry cried foul when cassette tapes were introduced because they couldn't stop people from recording a tune to give away to their friends.
In the end, the Music Industry made more money because of selling cassette tapes of an artist's music along side selling the vinyl version.People love,
have always loved,and will always love to own a piece of something in their hands.
Not copies.
It takes away the feeling of ownership of something valuable.The MPAA uses a study that they themselves paid for as evidence that piracy hurts everyone,
when others studies have shown the opposite.It's like the cassette tape incident.They would have you focusing on the negative aspect of this topic instead of brainstorming how the change in the Industry could benefit the Hollywood Types they say they are protecting.
I'm an optimist as far as what the future will bring.But I'm also a realist at what I see as having more constraints coming to us on using the Internet.
If big businessand the people who believe freedom is controlling what everyone seesand does on the web can get their way,soon the internet won't be free.You'll have to pay,besides the Cable and Phone Companies,to get some kind of State License and pay a Federal tax to use it.
The License Fee,
with all likelihood,
will have pay levels that cost you more with each step up as you increase your usage.To understand this concept,an example would be what the High Speed Internet Suppliers charge for the higher speeds they offer.History has shown us that a few power hungry rich elitists have always felt it necessary
and sometimes their right to control the masses by restricting what they can
and cannot do.Then comes along the reboot in societyand freedom is given back to the people.
But the process slowly repeats itself.And this is what's happening today.
If someone with the Authority,be it Judicial,Legislative,Wealthy Capitalist,or so on,and he or she notices your websiteand doesn't like what you represents or what your views are,they will use their influence to outflank you with high price Lawyers,Judges who are their friends(Really in their back pockets.),the Police who see yet another way to show the City Controllers how valuable they are,and all levels of Politicians who need a Capitalist's support to get elected term after term.
So think about it clearly.
Once they outlaw free internet,only Outlaws and Pirates will get it free.
You'll be the one paying a lot more money for it,the one they regulate usage on,monitored on what you can and cannot do,and fed the information that someone else has decided that is appropriate for your License's pay level.

Remember July 20th, 2015?
There would be a lot to talk about if I was feeling better, but I'm not. This Post is a fan favorite from July 20th, 2015. Since I wrote this Post, rumor has it that the Lizard Squad is slowly reorganizing, soon to be a force once again.
The Lizard Squad A little information for the novice out there using the wonderful World of Cyber Space. One of the English Speaking, most are in Russian,
infamous Hacking Forums, Darkode, was recently forced offline.
It was used by a group which called themselves
"The Lizard Squad."
Not exclusively, other
Cyber Criminals
were allowed inside, but they were the most notable group.
It was dismantled by Authorities from 20 different Countries from around the World.
It's just the tip of the Iceberg.
Hacking is a World all its own and nothing can't be Hacked with the right knowledge and enough time spent.
A challenge for some and greed for most.
Three days ago 4.5 million medical accounts were Hacked at UCLA Health.
They run fours hospitals in the University's Campuses, and drug retailer, CVS Health.
I'm personally upset about this one.
I don't have any records there, but about 15 years ago, UCLA Health flew in a Specialist to my local hospital and he performed surgery on my daughter, which saved her life.
I have a soft spot in my heart for them.
Ten hours ago, the "Ashley Madison Infidelity Website" had their customer data stolen.
Do you think any Rich, Married, Individuals, are sweating it out right now waiting for that Blackmail email to come in?
Ashley Madison has 37 million users from 50 different Countries.That's a lot of infidelity.The biggest Hack that I personally know of,is the October 2013, breach of 153 million Adobe accounts.There has been a couple of really foolish and funny Hacks.This last January, of 2015, the hacker collective known as"The Lizard Squad,"
I mentioned them before,created a DDoS service by the name of "Lizard Stresser" which could be procured to mount attacks against online targets.Shortly thereafter, the service suffered a data breach which resulted in the public disclosure of over 13 thousand user accounts,including passwords, stored in plain text.This started "The Lizard Squads" downfall. 2015 - 2016 Winter Is The Worst
This Winter has been the worst Winter that I've spent in California since I moved here. Once again, I have the Flu. I don't know if this is the fifth or sixth time I've had it this season. Sorry for not writing yesterday and actually, I don't feel up to it today either. But I want to reprint one of my Posts that is very important to me. I hope it inspires you to help.

As many of you know, Michael Belcher's cancer has returned. He had surgery last week to remove nodules from his lungs. Unfortunately, they were found to not only be cancerous but active. More surgeries and aggressive treatment will be needed.
Many of you have asked how you can help support the Belcher family during this time. One way is giving through his GoFundMe page. As you can imagine, fighting cancer has been a financial strain. This will help them with gas, medical bills, food and other unexpected costs that may come up during his treatment. Don't Complain About Your Day To Me Until You Have One Like Doug's
Did you ever wake up, "On the wrong side of the bed?" As the saying goes. Feeling "down and out." Wondering why the World is "picking on you?" Nothing seems to be "going your way?"When the Powerball Lottery went over a Billion Dollars, you didn't even hit one number! (Chance of winning: 1 in 292,201,338. They didn't show the math.) You don't even live in the United States area, of what is called, Tornado Alley, and your home isn't even a mobile one, but your claiming a tornado destroyed your home and the Insurance Company won't pay, and you wonder why? (Chance of being hit: 3 chances in 1,000,000. pn{x } = {n ! / [x ! (n -x )]!} q x (1-q )n-x,) Then you were so damn sure the Carolina Panthers were going to win the Super Bowl that you bet your 401K on the game!We all know what happened there. Well, if you are feeling sorry for yourself, for the littlest thing, STOP IT! You want to know what a bad day is; Doug Miller, a former San Diego Charger had a bad day.
Miller, when he was just 28 years old, was struck twice by lightening while on a camping trip on the Colorado River near Dotsero, Colorado. His friend said, while he was giving CPR, after being struck the first time, that Doug was struck a second time and was killed by that one. What are the odds in that?And you're whining about having a bad day!

Hey Dude, Are You A Long Boarder Or Short Boarder Riding Those Gravitational Waves?
I was talking to Albert awhile back, you know, Albert Einstein.
About a hundred years ago I was talking to him about his theories and he starts telling me,"We will not only use telescopes to do astronomy, by seeing beautiful close-ups of the Planets and our Moon, but we'll see the Milky Way in a whole light. In the future we'll finally understand Star formation, how our Solar System was born, and we'll discover and prove my theory on Black Holes." So I say to him,"Come on Al, aren't you stretching things a bit about your Black Hole theory?"
So Al, who is part of my posse says to me, “Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe.”
If I didn't know any better, I would have thought that I just got insulted, I think. Well, my Good Ol' Homie was proven right once again last September 14th, 2015. It took Scientist, who released their findings a couple of days ago, that long to sift through all the data to prove there are Gravitational Waves. They did it with LIGO. I know, these guys are cheating! My man Einstein used chalk and a blackboard for his findings. These LIGO people are using lasers and got their money from,The National Science Foundation, "an independent agency of the United States government, who provided about $1.1 billion in funding for the research over the past 40 years."
But I must say, I always wanted one of those laser pointy sticks for myself! I would use it to set up my wobbly telescope, pointing to the Moon.

About a hundred years ago I was talking to him about his theories and he starts telling me,"We will not only use telescopes to do astronomy, by seeing beautiful close-ups of the Planets and our Moon, but we'll see the Milky Way in a whole light. In the future we'll finally understand Star formation, how our Solar System was born, and we'll discover and prove my theory on Black Holes." Computer Driven Cars Are On My List To Hack!
One of the many over bloated Federal Agencies, gave one of the over bloated Companies of the World, a letter of endorsement. "The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration just issued a letter stating that a human driver does not need to be behind the wheel in Google's driver-less cars, and it's a major win for the tech giant."
Another move by the La-Di-DA Tech Giant to control our lives, map out our every move to sell the information, and to help Law Enforcementtrack, even when we have done nothing wrong, our daily lives. You think we have an Orwellian Big Brother Society now? Wait till your computer driven car decides to drive you directly to a Police Station because you forgot to pay that Jaywalking Ticketyou got last week. You'll miss being on time for work, or an appointment, or picking up your kids, and if you can't pay the fine immediately, you'll get jail time. OK, it might not be that extreme right away, but do you feel safe being inside a box and having no control over what the box can do?"The tech giant is making cars that are fully autonomous, and as such are not equipped with a steering wheel, throttle pedal, and brake pedal. Essentially, there's no way a human could fulfill the traditional role drivers have filled in the last century in Google's driver-less cars, and as such the car itself should be seen as the driver."
I've been told, I've seen it done, and from my past, I know that there is not a computer out there in the World that can't be Hacked! Key-less cars, with a fob to open doors and a push button to start the car, are one of the favorites for Hacker Stolen Cars. I know, like all computers can be hacked, any car can be stolen by a professional in less than five minutes. But, do you really feel safe in a vehicle where you have no control over its functions and any Terrorist Group out there, with a Black Hat Hacker working with them, could use a Cyber Bomb to disrupt all the autonomous vehicles on the L.A. Freeways during rush hour? They wouldn't even need any weapons to cause havoc and loss of life on our roads. All they would need is a computer and a way to send the signal. I'm no longer in the business of being a Grey Hatter, I gave it up when I started having children because I didn't want to go to jail, but the people I know say, "As soon as these self-driving cars start to be sold to the public, you'll need mechanics to keep them running properly. How long do you think it will take for an out-of-luck certified mechanic to sell his equipment, knowledge, and specifications to the on-board computer of self-driving cars?" Do you trust every mechanic you've ever met?Even the certified ones?

JPL Has A Poster For You
"We choose to go to the Moon! ...We choose to go to the Moon in this decade and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard; because that goal will serve to organize and measure the best of our energies and skills, because that challenge is one that we are willing to accept, one we are unwilling to postpone, and one we intend to win!"
Even though I was five years old when John F. Kennedy said those famous words, they are burned into my memory banks, because as a family, we all sat around our black and white TV and watched his historic speech. I'm going to go off track for a moment here, because of the word historic. I'm sick and tired of hearing Musicians, Actors, and especially Athletes tell the World that what they are doing is historic. Or, that the game they about to play for money, that they will be going into Battle, and it will be a War out there between two teams. Movies, Music, and Sports are entertainment events only. Not Historic, a Battle, or
a War. The Men and Women who serve their Country, whichever Country it maybe in this World, are the true heroes in life, go to real battles where people get maimed and are killed, and the major events, which shape our World, are historic! Nothing else. I was going to use this idea in a story about an alternative universe type of story, but I believe this would be an excellent time to make my point with this idea. Instead of having our kids trading Basketball Cards, Football Cards, and Baseball Cards, pretending those folks on these cards are heroes, we should start a trading card business which offer True Decorated Heroes of famous battles. True War Heroes. A set of cards depicting all the Great Scientists over the years and all the winners of the Nobel Peace Prize. That is what we should be telling are kids are the true heroes in life.
Like Martin Luther King Jr., Nelson Mandela, Mother Teresa, Albert Einstein, Aristotle, Confucius, and I could go on
and on about people who should be honored, and they are not Athletes, Musicians, and Actors. OK, I really went off track here because that pet peeve of mine has been eating away at my brain for sometime. The story I started and what I wanted to tell you about is NASA's release of 14 Tourism Posters. They are already enticing the public to save their money, so that in the future, we'll all be taking vacations out in Space. You can download all them for free and not worry about copyright laws. On their JPL website.

China's Chang'e 3
I was thinking about writing today's Post about that crazy New Hampshire political Primary which happened yesterday. But every time I write on how I feel about our choices for the Democratic and Republican nominations for the President of the United States, I loose readers. So, instead, I'm going to feature a subject close to my heart. Space exploration and everything that goes along with it. That's what is close to my heart. I'm not going to try to explain every rocket sent out into space, I just like this kind of stuff. Well, this month, the China National Space Administration released all of the images from their recent moon landing to the public. There are now hundreds and hundreds of never-before-seen true color, high definition photos of the lunar surface available for download. The images were taken a few years ago by cameras on the Chang’e 3 lander and Yutu rover. In December of 2013, China joined the ranks of Russia and the United States when they successfully soft-landed on the lunar surface, becoming the third country ever to accomplish this feat. What made China’s mission especially remarkable was that it was the first soft-landing on the moon in 37 years, since the Russians landed their Luna 24 probe back in 1976. Today, anyone can create a user account on China’s Science and Application Center for Moon and Deepspace Exploration website to download the pictures themselves. The process is a bit cumbersome and the connection to the website is spotty if you’re accessing it outside of China. Luckily, Emily Lakdawalla from the Planetary Society spent the last week navigating the Chinese database and is currently hosting a suite of China’s lunar images on the Planetary Society Website.
What I find fascinating about this website is, right on the first page we have a picture of this guy;

Can't Get No Satisfaction Unless We Follow What Our Idols Tell Us What To Do

Payton Manning mentions that he plans to "drink a lot of Budweiser's" after the Superbowl and the media goes crazy thinking he got paid for saying that. A couple of facts; first he wasn't paid by Budweiser to say that, second it was worth $3.2 million, according to Marketwatch.com for him to do so. (USA Today)
"When I'm watching my TV and a man comes on and tells me how white my shirts can be. But he can't be a man 'cause he doesn't smoke the same cigarettes as me."
When Beyoncé put out her first song since 2014 over the weekend, Red Lobster probably wasn't expecting a sales bump to result.The sit-down seafood restaurant got one anyway. The chain said sales were up 33% on Sunday over the previous year, thanks to a lyric in the new track that suggests using Red Lobster's food as a reward for sex. (CNN Money)"When I'm riding round the world, and I'm doing this, and I'm signing that, and I'm trying to make some girl. Who tells me baby better come back maybe next week because you see, I'm on losing streak."
Those are two great examples of why Politicians, Merchandisers, and Charitable Organizations all look to Athletes, Musicians, and Actors to endorse their agenda, products, and causes. It is a proven method, as far as I know, since the Movies

Celebertiesstarting in 1888. Maybe even longer.So, the next time you see Sarah McLachlan telling you it will only cost you a dollar a day to save a neglected dog, open up your wallet and "follow the crowd" by giving and giving until you can't give no more.
P.S. Most Athletes, Musicians, and Actors don't give their money to these organizations. Their handlers tell them that by "giving their time" to get you to give your money, that, in this way, they are giving back to society!

As many of you know, Michael Belcher's cancer has returned. He had surgery last week to remove nodules from his lungs. Unfortunately, they were found to not only be cancerous but active. More surgeries and aggressive treatment will be needed.
Many of you have asked how you can help support the Belcher family during this time. One way is giving through his GoFundMe page. As you can imagine, fighting cancer has been a financial strain. This will help them with gas, medical bills, food and other unexpected costs that may come up during his treatment.
