Leave Of Absence

Ever since my Post,  Be Prejudice Against Terrorists - Not Race, Religion, Or Culture, I haven't written anything on Politics, ISIS, the Racist Donald Trump, Ex-Jared Fogle associate getting 27 years for child pornography, the E.coli outbreak, and all the other fun stuff I could berate so easily. But it is the Holiday Season and I'm trying to stay in the festive mood. Then my family came to close to having a tragedy last night as I had to call 911 for one of my daughters. She was rushed to the hospital. I'm taking a leave of absence for at least today from writing my Blog. So, to tie you over, or is it; to tide you over, it's your choose for today, here are some videos about Space and Planets. https://youtu.be/8er_0yY1S1o https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uidTD0Gxh7Y https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZzCnw5K4uHw https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1tUSiWLyN9A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pwipxdQ74pU

Conundrum

I have a conundrum to figure out. It is not something as simple as right or left, or yes and no. It is about a commitment and how far I should go with it. I made a commitment over seventeen years ago, and I feel I still haven't fulfilled it. I'm not saying I haven't begun the project, seventeen years ago I did, it's just not the kind of thing you can complete over night,
or ever. It takes time. it takes money, it takes patience, it takes a lifetime of commitment. I've had other commitments like this before, and as a whole, they have all turned out pretty good. So I guess I have little to fear, as far as this commitment goes. I feel I have to end my full attention to this project, or I could contaminate the results. Every Parent comes to this fork in the road, and I am standing in that road, wishing I didn't have to choose. But all birds must leave the nest. My daughter will be turning 18 years old on December eighteenth. I must let her go, because I love her, but I must let her know, I'll always be there for her, if she ever needs me. Go take on the World Murry J. Squirrel. Dad loves you.

Ted Is Everywhere!

Ted Talks, is a website that features speakers from around the globe on a variety of subjects. Subjects like Activism to Youth. From Yesallwomen to Adventure. Talks on Medicine, Ants, Sight, Bioethics, and so on. If you love the idea of Robots and what the future of robots is, Ted has 37 different talks on the subject. I'm not sure or why they use the name Ted, since every talk is by a different speaker. Don't let that confuse you into thinking it is one person's ideas being expressed here. Its as diversified as the World has different races to make up the human race. Here are a few examples. Talks to watch when your family is driving you nuts. The most popular talks of all time. How to make love last.Artificial intelligence.Time warp. These, like I said are just of the few topics you can choose from. They boast over 2,100 talks that you can watch. Either on a Tablet, Computer, Smartphone, Smart-TV, and all the different Game Consoles out there. Everyone needs to keep on learning throughout their lives, to stay informed, keep the mind active, and discover what wonderful technologies are on our horizon. And if you don't like to read a lot of material, this is the perfect venue for you to use to keep informed about our future as human beings.

It Is A Wonderful Life!

Now, some of you will be asking, what happened to Two Buck Howie yesterday, and why didn't he write in his Blog? Well, yesterday was a day like no other. Yesterday I decided to go and buy some new tennis shoes. Not to play tennis, but for my morning walks. I decided to go to one of those chain stores who advertise that you pay less for their products. Being the sprite age of one hundred four years old, I drove myself to the store, and walked through the door. Yesterday, I didn't realize how this single event would change my life, for better or worse
for at least one day. Let me start at the beginning. I woke up yesterday, all ready for a long day of football watching. Instead, yesterday, I found myself turning on the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries TV Channel because one of my favorite childhood movie actors,  Ernest Borgnine, was staring in one of  Hallmark's Christmas MoviesMister Borgnine was a true  Hollywood Star, but he always found the time to be the Master of Ceremonies for  The Milwaukee Holiday Parade. He did this for many years when I was growing up and growing older. This was before I moved to California. He would dress up as a clown, and would lead the parade down its entire route. He was a good man. Well, yesterday, after going down memory lane because of  Ernest Borgnine, I ended up watching about six Hallmark Christmas Movies. Going through a box of tissues. Shut up! I'm an emotional guy! Well, yesterday, after all the movies and all the tears, I decided to go buy my new tennis shoes. That's when it happened. My  Guardian Angle appeared in the front seat of my car! Yes, yesterday! Forgetting that I was the only one who could see him, I walked into the store talking about the good old days I had with my Angle. At first the employees, according to the Police report, thought I was talking on my cell phone via Bluetooth to my ear buds. Except, yesterday I wasn't wearing any ear buds. I was talking to my Guardian Angle! We were having a great conversation too! It all went awry for me once my cell phone started ringing. Then the employees new I was having a laugh and a conversation with myself. The last thing my Guardian Angle said to me, right before the ambulance took me to the Hospital for observation, was, "Everything happens for a reason. Merry Christmas Jim!" And then he vanished, laughing!

The Mugging

A good friend of mine, Robert Boardwalk, and I were walking down the old side of town one wonderfully bright, warm Saturday afternoon. We would often walk together to discuss, philosophy, women, motorcycles, and whatever else was on our minds. The old side of town had alleys down the center of the block to separate the houses either to the north/south sides of the block, or the east/west sides. This was done in early layouts of cities by the planners to help with Police and Firetruck's ability to locate and then corral burning buildings or criminal activity. Bob and I had just left a Mom & Pop little eatery, known for its generous portions of eggs, pork rinds, and grits, talking about the possibility of starting a duo musical group, when we crossed one of the stone and dirt alleyways. Robert was really into the conversation, and didn't notice the unkept, undesirable who turned from an out-of-sight location in the alley, to be five yards behind us suddenly. Another vagabond was leaning up, along side a streetlamp on the corner of the block in front of us, stepping forward, heading in our direction in a menacing way. I tried to whisper to my companion that we were about to be jumped and that he should be ready, when I noticed the guy behind us was someone I had gone to High School with, years before. My friend was dumbfounded about the situation, and asked what was going on. Perplexed that this could really be happening. What I did next, could possibly have saved us from a beating, or even being killed. I turned around and said, "Hey Clifford. I haven't seen you since High School. Remember that pack of cigarettes I owed you from back then? Well, I have them here for you." Clifford looked as confused as my friend Bob did, at first, but then recognized me, took the stipend from me graciously and called off the assault. We all talked for awhile about our time in High School and the two junior criminals admitted we were about to be jumped for all the cash we had. We soon said our goodbyes and each of us went on our merry way. I would say five years had passed when I read in the local newspaper that Clifford had been murdered by a hit & run driver of an old, white Cadillac DeVille.
The same vehicle my friend used to own. The reason it was called a murder was, the car was seen backing up to run over Clifford a second time after running him down the first time. Maybe he rob somebody who recognized him like I did, but didn't have the wits about them to turn the assault away
and was looking for revenge!

Be Prejudice Against Terrorists - Not A Race, Religion, Or Culture

By now, the World, has heard about the senseless killings by two wannabe terrorists, Syed Rizwan Farook and his wife Malik. The two had been in touch with a suspected International Terrorist but the FBI didn't consider them High-Priority Terrorism Subjects. Malik is originally from PakistanA Government which supports Terrorism around the Globe. A Country that hid Osama bin Laden from the World. I'm sure Malik's upbringing would have been controlled by the
Pakistani Government. A Government which is banning BlackBerry Service in their country because BlackBerry won't help the Pakistani Government spy on its own Citizens. In a way, these two wannabes have succeeded in helping ISIS. U.S. Citizens will be a lot more wary about any interactions with Muslims they come across in their daily lives, even though they are U.S. Citizens too! It will be used as Propaganda to further their cause against anyone who doesn't support the evil that ISIS perpetrates. They'll say something like, "All Muslims must unite to kill the non-believers. It is us against them, the World." While the Leaders of ISIS hide in caves and underground tunnels. Waiting for the day they can come out of hiding to become the new Slave Owners, I mean Rulers, of their Brainwashed Followers. ISIS is not trying to free people from oppression. They are trying to keep their followers in subservience and hardship, by their unjust exercise of authority. They tyrannize in the name of Allah. History has shown, that most people are abhorred by terrorism, but do little about it until it hits Home. Well, it has hit Home once again. Let us all try to do something about it. Even in a small way. The way the Prophet Jesus or the Prophet Muhammad had preached.
The way Buddha, Socrates,  Confucius,  Baha'ullah,   Dalai Lama, Mother Teresa, Nelson Mandela,  Mohandas Gandhi,  Siddhartha Gautama,   and Martin Luther King, Jr.,   had lived.

Quantum Physics: "Nothing exists until it is measured."

I wanted to tell a tale today, about one of my many adventures across the globe of our planet Earth. How I sailed the  Seven Seas in my Gemini Legacy Catamaran. At a time when modern Pirates out gunned the Maritime Sailor. How I fought off  Pygmy Headhunters on the Isles of the Comoros. Found, a never discovered  Fourteenth Mayan Crystal Skull, in the mountain hills north of the City of Lamboglia, Puerto Rico. Danced with  Princess Stephanie, Countess of Polignac, while we waited for Y2K to begin. Backed up the  Magic Man, Don Majkowski in 1989, for the Green Bay Packer's NFL Season. Played on the same stage
Jimmy Hendricks & Cheap Trick played on at a club called The Stone Toad, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I can't possibly relay what an exciting adventure I'm on today because that would ruin all future tales I've yet to write. But I can tell you one thing. Characters in tales do come to life, and are as real as your imagination lets them become. And as long as my daughter's  Imaginary Friend John treats her well, I too believe that he is alive and kicking. Just like she does!

Clone Your Dog At Sooam.com

First, everyone should read about Mathew Jackson. His "legacy is spreading across the world after showing a stranger a random act of kindness just one day before losing his life in car accident." By Nicole Pelletiere for ABC News.com.
If that story doesn't make you cry at first, then plant a seed in your heart to go out
and perform an act of kindness yourself, then you don't have any true sympathy for your fellow man and your just a clone of your former self. Telling yourself that by doing nothing in life, will not make a difference one way or another,
for making this a better World for all of us to live in. Except, doing something kind to
or for someone, then asking them to Pay-It-Forward, is the first step in making this a better World!

Talking about Clones, those wonderful people at BoyaLife, the Chinese equivalent to Kaiser Permanente Division of Research, are constructing a Cloning Factory! "The Chinese scientist behind the world's biggest cloning factory has technology advanced enough to replicate humans, he told AFP, and is only holding off for fear of the public reaction. Boyalife Group and its partners are building the giant plant in the northern Chinese port of Tianjin, where it is due to go into production within the next seven months and aims for an output of one million cloned cows a year by 2020. But cattle are only the beginning of chief executive Xu Xiaochun's ambitions. In the factory pipeline are also thoroughbred racehorses, as well as pet and police dogs, specialized in searching and sniffing. Boyalife is already working with its South Korean partner Sooam and the Chinese Academy of Sciences to improve primate cloning capacity to create better test animals for disease research. And it is a short biological step from monkeys to humans—potentially raising a host of moral and ethical controversies." Story on Phys.org I can't wait to have four or five "Two Buck Howies" running around at the same time. We could form a Rock Band and write four or five songs together. Write four or five Blogs at the same time. Make love, four or five times to the same woman. Heh, wait a minute? I'm beginning to dislike those other Howies already! I'm the real deal. No I'm the real deal. No I'm the real one. No I am. No I am! Excuse me. I have to go kill some Clones!

How Secure Are You?

BlackBerry, the Best Business Cellphone and Business Cellphone Service in the World, has been told by "The Pakistan Telecommunications Authority, that BlackBerry’s BES Servers would no longer be allowed to operate in the Country starting in December for security reasons. (The deadline has been set to December 30th.) The truth is that the Pakistani Government wanted the ability to monitor all BlackBerry Enterprise Service traffic in the country, including every BES e-mail and BES BBM message. But BlackBerry will not comply with that sort of directive. As we have said many times, we do not support back doors granting open access to our customer's information and have never done this anywhere in the world. Pakistan’s demand was not a question of public safety; we are more than happy to assist law enforcement agencies in investigations of criminal activity. Rather, Pakistan was essentially demanding unfettered access to all of our BES customer's information. The privacy of our customers is paramount to BlackBerry, and we will not compromise that principle." by Marty Beard for Inside BlackBerry
I applaud their efforts, but I have to wonder if it is really a matter of Ethics or Money? I also have to wonder if the other Cellphone Companies in Pakistan have already complied? There is a reason the U.S. Government pays Cellphone Companies millions of dollars per year. Both parties also sight the reason for the Payola is to monitor criminal activity. The NSA does it on American citizens because it can, legally. They have the computers to do so, Pakistan doesn't. I just wonder, how much information about a person, is going to be too much information about that person, for that person to stand up and say, enough is enough? Probably when he realizes that he has been held back in life because of all the information out there about him.

My Christmas Wish List

OK boys and girls. I know you've been asking me to do this for such a long time, so I'm finally going to give it to you. My Five Favorite Tech Toys you can buy me, either for Christmas or my Birthday! Which is four days after Christmas. Number One is because I'm still a kid at heart and my favorite Sport is Formula 1 Racing. Thanks to the wonderful people at Razor, you know them as the group who back Scooters to our kids, they have made the Razor Crazy Cart XL. "The Ultimate Drifting Machine just grew up! In response to the overwhelming demand for an adult-sized version of our award-winning Crazy Cart, Razor presents the Crazy Cart XL: a full-size, high-powered drift cart for the kid in all of us!" ($700)
Number Two should be on Everyone's list for Christmas, or should I say, Anyone who loves to sit through a marathon of their favorite Movies, TV Shows, Saturday or Sunday Football Games. It's the Octane Mega Sofa! By the people who do this kind of stuff all the time, with more than one Sofa, Octane Theater Seating. "Under the leather upholstery are two motorized power recliners, plus adjustable headrests, USB ports, power outlets, and reading lights atop that pull-out center console. In case you were wondering: Yes, the cup holders are illuminated with sunken LEDs!" ($1,800)
Number Three favorite Tech Toy that I must have, just because other people have them and I don't, is the DJI Inspire 1 Drone. By who else, DJI. This baby "features some serious technology, including GPS positioning, full 360-degree camera rotation, autopilot options, and even a built-in flight simulator. That last bit is for, you know, practicing — before you put your pricey quad-copter up 20 stories in the air." ($4,500)
Number Four is an Item I have talked about before in my Post, Here Pepper, Here Girl! Mommy please, can I have my very own Aldebaran Pepper Robot ! "Engaging and friendly, Pepper is much more than a robot, he’s a companion able to communicate with you through the most intuitive interface we know: voice, touch and emotions." See, it has emotions, where we can become friends, hang out together, and I'll never have to socially interact with people ever again. Please? ($1,700.00 not including Tariffs, Taxes, Shipping and Handling!)
Number Five is such a sign of success for anyone to own, that I know you will all want one too! Don't we all dream about having our very own Workstation, in our home? Well now you can, with a little help from our good friends up in Canada, heh. MWE Labs has built The Emperor Line Of Workstations that, as a writer, I just can't live without! So, please, help me out this Christmas, or on my Birthday, and I'll Post a photo of me working hard at my Workstation! Now won't that be worth spending all that money on me? ($21,500)
