The View from the North
It’s been a while since I have spotted a new review of my debut book The Stars Seem So Far Away, so I was very happy to stumble across this one. And I am extra chuffed about the incredible kind words here. Thanks so much!

Reviews of Eurasian Monsters
I am happy to say that Eurasian Monsters have had a few reviews. The latest from the lovely The Future Fire.
Rachel Verkade writes: «Finally, it would be remiss of me not to mention Helgadóttir’s commitment to diversity. It would be very easy for a an anthology focused on a particular geographic area to be lacking in this area, but both authors and editors make a tangible effort here to allow all different voices to shine through.”
Of earlier reviews of the book, Charles Payseur thinks it is «A ...

The Future Fire interviewed me
Just a short note to tell you that I was interviewed by the lovely magazine The Future Fire!
In which I speak a little about the editing of Eurasian Monsters, and a little bit about possible geographical differences between monsters and dark creatures.
The Future Fire is an awesome online magazine, with reviews, short stories and poetry. The editors seek to spotlight social-political and progressive speculative fiction.
Many thanks to The Future Fire and its editor, Djibril al-Ayad. The magazi...

About editing Eurasian Monsters – editor’s blog
«Not only do I wish to scare people with monsters they probably have never heard about. I also want the books to give the readers a realistic insight into the continents we cover—it is a journey after all.»
I wrote a blog post about editing the anthology Eurasian Monsters – out tomorrow (I think) from Fox Spirit Books – and the book series! Read it at Fox Spirit Books’ webpage here.
