New anthology!
I am over the moon to be able to tell you about this new anthology I am editing for UK-based Rebellion Publishing.
Nordic Visions will be a collection of stories from some of the best Nordic authors in the speculative field (science fiction, fantasy, horror).
After editing anthologies for many years with a focus on the different continents, it has been so fun to be able to work with my home region. With this anthology I aim to give international readers an insight into some of the best No...

A Lion Roars in Longyearbyen – new story out
From me to all of you, here’s a Christmas story from the far-future Arctic city of Longyearbyen. It was published today in Slate Magazine! Hope you’ll enjoy it. It’s my first finished new short story in five years or so!

The story was published on the Future Tense pages, a fantastic partnership of Slate Magazine, New America, and Arizona State University (Center for Science and the Imagination) that examines emerging technologies, public policy, and society. The Future Tense project pub...

Climate tipping points
On Tuesday I am doing something really fun! I have been invited as an author to the University of Oslo to follow a workshop on Nordic climate tipping points – what we know about them and how they could affect future life on Earth – and then write a futuristic short story based on this. How cool is that!?
With funding from the University of Oslo’s UiO:Norden initiative, the Department of Sociology and Human geography at the University of Oslo is organizing a one-day workshop on “Nordic Climate...

Book birthday for Winter Tales
It’s birthday for the anthology Winter Tales today! It was published by Fox Spirit Books in 2016.
This was a fun project to edit. I received over a hundred stories and poems after an open call for submissions, and selected 22 of these to work with.
Creepy, deliciously dark and grim tales to celebrate the winter season, and in between the sweet one. The stories are written in a multitude of genres: Crime, horror, science fiction, fantasy, post apocalyptic, superhero, the more literary.

The View from the North
It’s been a while since I have spotted a new review of my debut book The Stars Seem So Far Away, so I was very happy to stumble across this one. And I am extra chuffed about the incredible kind words here. Thanks so much!
Post-apocalyptic fiction comes in many guises, most of them dark. You’ve got experimental books in which one of the points made appears to be that the breaking of the world will change everything–even the way we think and interact with reality. You’ve a...
