Fridays at Ofelia’s | Wandering a Luminous Sea

Interview

Today, Kayleigh Sky is here on a visit, and she’s gonna answer some questions for us 😀 Welcome, Kayleigh!

Which writers inspire you and why?

Off the top of my head, I can name Cormac McCarthy and Ernest Hemingway. Both use a spare, clear prose that just sings to me. Ernest Hemingway has one of the most exquisite first paragraphs (in A Farewell to Arms) I’ve ever read, and Cormac McCarthy has one of the most emotional and heartbreaking last paragraphs (in The Road) I’ve ever read. Both wrote down...

Wrap-Up Wednesday | July

It’s time for the monthly Wrap-Up Wednesday post, and I have to admit the list of read books is embarrassingly short. I’ve had a lot to do, and when I’ve had some time on my hands, I’ve spent them on the sofa watching Netflix with my darling husband.

So here is what I’ve read this month:

Okay, Then

Okay, Then by Addison Albright – a story about Henry and Sam from Til Death Do Us Part (which I haven’t read) got together. This is just a short little thing – hot flashes always are – where we ge...

Cover Reveal | Deadly Lies

Cover-RevealWe have another cover! I’ve had it for a week or so, but I thought I’d space them out a little 😊 Deadly Lies is the sequel to Deadly Sugar, and I don’t recommend reading it unless you’ve read Deadly Sugar first.

I don’t know what to say about these, really. They’re not romances.

In Deadly Lies, we get Josh’s point of view. Josh is Jett’s husband, and Jett is the main character in Deadly Sugar. We’re five years later in time and a few years back, they adopted their son. So we’re now looking at a...

The Snowflake | National Frozen Margarita Day

July 24 - Frozen Margarita

Today it’s National Frozen Margarita Day. Though in some places, I read it’s National Tequila Day. I guess since you have Tequila in Margaritas, they go hand in hand.

As soon as I saw Frozen Margarita, I thought of my favourite sculptor. Theophile Lekas in The Snowflake has a thing for ice – and Dylan Mincer, of course.

Of all the things I’ve written, this… I don’t know what to say. I love this, I loved writing it, and when I read it again to re-release it, I informed hubby he’s married to a...

Fridays @ Ofelia’s | Magician by K.L. Noone

Guest-Post

Today, I’m glad to say that K.L. Noone is back for a visit. Welcome!

Hi, I’m K.L. Noone, and I write LGBTQ romance—everything from contemporary to historical to paranormal, often m/m but sometimes f/f, or m/f with bisexual characters, or even m/m/m superheroes! Ofelia has been kind enough to let me drop by to introduce my upcoming novel, Magician, available from JMS Books July 24!

Magician is high fantasy, in a sort of early modern world—there’re printed novels and merchant ships alongside magi...

#WhatToReadWednesday | Short Stories

It’s time for a #WhatToReadWednesday post! I figured since Remember Us was published at the beginning of this month and it being one of my favourite short stories of those I’ve written, I’ll recommend a few short reads to you.

I didn’t include any Christmas stories, there are quite a few so I could’ve done a list out of that alone. And sure we could claim Christmas in July, but…

Here we go. I didn’t mean to include quite this many, but once I started looking at short stories more and more made...

Cover Reveal | Deadly Sugar

Cover-Reveal

Soon we will run out of new shiny covers to share, but not yet! On the 7th of August, Deadly Sugar will be re-released, and I have a cover.

I wrote this as part of Buried Desired 1 together with Amy Spector. It was all her idea; I will take no credit at all. She wanted us to write a double horror feature.

There is one thing you need to know about Amy, she might appear as a lovely, sane woman, but she’s not. She likes horror!

I love writing horror stories, though if it hadn’t been for Amy, I...

Kindle Unlimited | Five Books Added to the Catalogue

Now in KU

As a Swede, I don’t have access to Kindle Unlimited. I can see that some books are in KU, but most often, I don’t even see that. It hasn’t escaped my notice that it’s kind of a big deal though LOL

My publisher and I talked it over and decided to put the books published in 2019 in the KU catalogue. They will still be available wide, so you can still grab Nine Stones or one of the other titles in the JMS shop or on B&N, Kobo, Apple or wherever you prefer to shop, but they’ll also be available th...

Fridays at Ofelia’s | Taking Flight

Guest-Post

Taking Flight, a Reworked Celtic Myth

Firstly a big thank you to Ofelia, for inviting me to visit today! I’m here to blatantly pimp my new release, Taking Flight, which came out a couple of days ago on Tuesday 13th July. I was also here a few weeks ago, talking about the collection generally and how I started writing them. (I don’t want to call it a series, because that implies they’re connected, and they’re not really, only by the fact they’re all based on the myths). You can find that post he...
