Wrap-Up Wednesday | November
An early Wrap-Up Wednesday this month, but next Wednesday is December 1st, so we’ll just have to live with it
This month, I’ve read a lot. I sort of checked out of social media for a bit and just read. I’ve read, not all but a big part of my WIPs – it was fun! Then, as I told Nell and Ally from the morning office, I didn’t have the energy to read anything new, so I’ve reread old stories. When I was younger, I never reread books, I just wanted to move on to the next one. Now I find it restful to...

Guest Post | The Quid Pro Quo: Simon Frost
Hello there everyone! Thank you so much to Ofelia for letting me drop in today to tell you all about my latest release.
The Quid Pro Quo is the second in the Bradfield trilogy, although it will stand alone. It’s set a few months after the end of The Fog of War and stars Walter Kennett, Sylvia’s friend, and Simon Frost, a detective who comes to Bradfield to investigate a murder. It’s a gay, historical, paranormal, romantic murder-mystery with a m/transm couple set in rural England in 1920.

Fridays at Ofelia’s | The Snails of Dun Nas by K.L. Noone
Today, we have K.L. Noone visiting! I get up early in the mornings, and I’m not really awake when I stumble downstairs, but while I wait for enough coffee to drip down for me to grab a cup, I most often open the email app on my phone. One morning when I did, there was an email with Snails! written in the subject line. It made me laugh So, thank you for brightening my morning, Kristin.
Hi, everyone – and thank you to the lovely Ofelia for letting me drop by! It’s always a pleasure.
Today I wan...

#WhatToReadWednesday | Gay Romance with Bear Shifters
The monthly #WhatToReadWednesday was coming up on my to-do, and I thought: Damn, what the heck am I gonna write about. Then I remembered that Holly made a post yesterday about it being Have a Party with Your Bear Day and thought: Great! I’ll do bear shifters.
I have Elevator Pitch, and Holly has Blown Away, and then there is… erm… that one with the pumpkin patch, and then… erm…
Thing is, I’ve read quite a few MF bear shifter stories, but when I try to remember MM, not many come to mind. And ...

Guest Post | How to Soothe a Dragon by Holly Day
Hello everyone! Holly here stealing a spot on the blog again Did you know that it’s National Button Day today? It is, and I happened to write a story to celebrate it. It might be hard to tell from the title, How to Soothe a Dragon, but it’s about a button.
I didn’t think about this story as a dystopian until I hopped onto Goodreads to grab the link, and the first line I saw was:
There’s a remarkably sweet love story set amidst a deeply dystopian world in this novella
I stared at it for a few s...

Fridays at Ofelia’s | Call Me Methuselah by R.G. Hendrickson
We have R.G. Hendrickson today, sharing a little bit about his new book, Call Me Methuselah, scheduled for release on November 27. Half of the story takes place in a prehistoric time, and the other half in the present. In both parts, the main character is the same person, who by some quirk of nature remains young. The romance in the past influences the developing romance in the present. This is a book for those who enjoy a fantasy/science fiction subplot.
Excerpt:No blood nor gore in sight, I ...

Update | Almost There!
“If you want to live a happy life, tie it to a goal, not to people or things.”
– Albert Einstein
It’s update time, people! I filled out my numbers over at Wordkeeperalpha – I used to have a year-long project at NaNoWriMo, but then they updated their site, and my numbers got messed up. The lovely A.L. Lester then told me about Wordkeeperalpha, and that’s where I’ve kept my words ever since
Anyway, adding all my numbers since it’s been two weeks since I last did, it turned out I’m 98.95% done!...

Giveaway November
The eleventh giveaway post of the year! Crazy how fast this year has gone by. I don’t know about you, but I still feel like I’m in some kind of alternative reality. I live with a constant sense of doom. I’m not saying I’m unhappy, I’m not, but I feel like there is a constant threat to life as we know it. I doubt they felt that way in the 50s. But enough soul searching and onto the giveaway!
We have four stories this month – The Maddest of Men, Honey Baked, Eight Feet of Magic, and Turning Wood...

Guest Post | Drown The Man by Jaymie Wagner
Today, Jaymie Wagner is on a visit to talk about Drown The Man. Welcome Jaymie!
“Who Are You?” is a really powerful question.
For me, as a trans woman, it’s a question that I was asking on one level or another for more than thirty years. Each time I found an answer that I thought was “THE Answer”, I would eventually find another layer, until I finally accepted who I really was inside.
It’s hard to look at yourself and try to pull away the different identities we wrap ourselves in to find th...

Guest Post | Findley Black and the Ghosts of Printer’s Devil

Today, my longtime author friend, Amy Spector, is here on a visit! Welcome, Amy
Thank you, Ofelia, for inviting me to pop over to your blog today!
Happy October! This is a time for all things spooky, and spooky books are my favorite—I should point out that I typoed that as spooky boys before I corrected it. Both are true!—but it’s been some time since I’ve had an October book release.
This year I have two!
Today is officially release day for Findley Black and the Ghosts of Printe...
