Sale, Sale, Sale
Just a quick little post today. Over at JMS Books, we’re having a sale. Amazon has a prime day sale every year, and for as long as I’ve published with JMS, they’ve had an ‘anti-prime’ sale where you don’t have to be a member to get a discount It starts today and ends tomorrow.
It’s 50% off on all ebooks, pre-orders included, and paperbacks are $8.
And after anti-prime sale, we’re ending Pride Month by having another sale. 30% off from the 23d to the 30th.

Release Day | Around Seven
It’s release day!!! Around Seven is now live and it’s the last of the former Nortown now gone Up North stories. To be honest, I need another lockdown so I get more time to write because there are so many Up North stories I want to write.
Here, in southern Sweden, it’s sweltering today and if it is where you are too, then maybe you want a break from it. Around Seven is an autumn story filled with yellow leaves and cool air which would be so nice right now
Oswald is one of my favourite character...

#WhatToReadWednesday | Summer Reading
It’s June, so time to stock up on those summer reads, right? Right! I thought I do a #WhatToReadWednesday about summer reads. There’s a slight problem, though. I could probably give you a list of a hundred autumn and winter books I think you should read, but summer? I’m struggling. And it’s not so much that I don’t like summer books, though there is something to it – sweat and bugs aren’t my thing LOL – but I just don’t remember.
So what did I do? Complain in the morning office of course, and t...

Cover Reveal | The Snowflake
We’re all like snowflakes—unique and one of a kind.
Time for another cover reveal! Not many books left to re-publish now, I’m afraid. Today we have The Snowflake. I love this. It’s not your ordinary romance. The main character, Theophile Lekas, tends to kill people, he’s a stalker, and talks to his cat – who responds. But… few books have been as fun to write as this one.
It was first published in Buried Desires 3 together with Amy Spector and Neptune Flowers back in 2018.
Theophile is an ic...

Release Day | Silent Woods
It’s release day! Silent Woods is out today, and it’s one of the first stories I wrote – or not wrote, you know how it is with writers, we have written for years before we first publish something. It was one of the first stories I ever published.
In Sweden (maybe all of Scandinavia) we have this myth of a male water nymph called Näcken, or The Neck. He’s this lovely, lonely creature – though in some old text he’s hideous – who appears in lakes and rivers, playing the violin. When he plays, peop...

Fridays at Ofelia’s | Reworking Celtic Myths with A.L. Lester
Today, my dear friend A.L. Lester is here to talk about Celtic myths. Welcome, Ally
Firstly a big thank you to Ofelia, for inviting me visit today! I thought I’d talk a bit about the inspiration for my Reworked Celtic Myth short stories.
I live in the UK and although I’m Somerset born-and-bred (that’s a county in the south-west of England and traditionally we are all expected to wear farming smocks, hobnail boots, chew straw and talk with a very rural accent) I have spent quite a bit of time...

What’s in a Name?
Naming characters is not easy. Sometimes a name’s just there and sometimes I name them something but it doesn’t feel right. I often check the meaning of the name, not always, but if you ever google the meaning of a name, you’ll see that it sometimes fits well with the character and/or the story.
Sometimes I just pick a name because I think it’s cool or funny – like Eldred Henstare (though Eldred means red and he had red hair) or Captain Elazar Steel. You have to love those guys LOL
Sometimes ...

Up North | Around Seven
It’s time to share a little about Oswald and Joshua from Around Seven. This is an autumn story with lots of yellow leaves and crisp, cool air. It’s not yet nippy, but the summer warmth is gone. The river is quiet and peaceful, the trees reflecting on the surface, and then there is a huge splash as Oz falls in.
Oz is a friend of Aiden’s from the Aiden and Tristan stories and he’s come to Nortown because Aiden has asked him to work with him. Aiden is a massage therapist and Oz an acupuncturist ...

Update | Stealing Writing Time
There’s never enough time to do all the nothing you want.
Bill Watterson
Another month, another 36k or so words written. Holly is doing this story, and it’s supposed to be turned in by now. It was supposed to be a short story, but things don’t always go as planned, do they? I’m now staring at a 45k long story.
A couple of weeks ago, I told my publisher I was a good way through and just needed to wrap the story up… I’ve written 19.994 words in the last seven days. The wrapping up didn’t go a...

Fridays at Ofelia’s | Just to Breathe
Hello everyone! Holly here I’m here today to tell you about a story of mine that’s released tomorrow. As some of you might know, I write stories to celebrate certain days – all days should be celebrated. We’ll see if I ever get to write 365 (or 366 I guess so leap day is included too). I’ll try.
On Tuesday, 8th of June, it’s Best Friend Day, so I’m having a friends to lovers theme over at my blog this month, and Just to Breathe that’s released tomorrow is of course a friends to lovers story....
