An open Letter from Jim's Family to his Fans — Kickstarter
This is an open letter to the Fans of the artist, Jim Hardiman,
I am Jim Hardiman’s mom, Pauline Hardiman. Some of you may have met me
at one of the earlier Confurences in 1995 – 1997. It has now been 9
months since Jim’s death. Before Jim died he had told me about the plans
for a Skunkworks Graphic Novel that he was working on with Jason Canty
of Angry Viking Press. He asked me to contact Jason after his death and
work with him to make this happen. I promised Jim I would do this for
him….
I didn’t know about Jim Hardiman’s death. I’m sorry to hear it. His comics were a lot of fun.

yo, was the cover you did for Prophet 34 a view of Phobos, Troll's moon? Also, would you ever consider selling prints of that piece? I've loved it since before I even knew about Prophet (I saw it on butdoesitfloat). Either way, thanks for making such ra
When Brandon asked us to do a cover for Prophet #34, he specified that he wanted alien landscapes. The thinking was that the covers could show all these different parts of the Prophet universe that might not actually get explored in the story. So Matt and I weren’t really thinking of a particular location when we did that image. But now that you mention it, it TOTALLY looks like how we drew Phobos later on in the series.

Also, OF COURSE I can put a print version up in my online shop! And if anyone has any other images they’d like to see as a print, don’t be afraid to ask.

Hey Brandon. As the comics community is becoming more aware and accepting of diversity in comics, I'm noticing a lot of great material coming out, new and old, that is making me very excited for comics. BUT, I'm also noticing people who may be pandering to
hmmmm
I think ideally more diversity in comics is gonna mean more diverse creators. I feel like it’s real important to make a distinction between fictional characters and real life humans who make the comics. People who are coming from different backgrounds are going to be putting that authenticity of lived experience into their work–and that can only make the comic shelves more interesting.
The pandering stuff is whatever. Maybe it’s worth it for readers coming from different backgrounds to have more options to relate to even if some of it might just be surface.

Dude what the fuck? You pass up the opportunity to talk shit on Bendis and now you're tweeting about how great a (non-Stokoe) Marvel book is? A Marvel crossover book no less? What the fuck is going on? I'm so disillusioned... is this the beginning of the p
it ain’t so.
The hard thing in seeing good work being done in corporate owned comics is just knowing that the creators involved are in some serious danger of artistic compromise and or being mistreated.
That Dustin Weaver infinity gauntlet was just a fun comic.
My biggest issue with Bendis is that he seems like a company man for a company with a bad history. I’m not a fan of his work but I don’t have to like everything to see that there’s gotta be some personal value in it for him.
I also have my own personal rules about what I’ll do and wont do in comics but I dont expect anyone else to live by them. I wanna be half-way reasonable when I grow up.

Would you play a sprite edit of Mario where the Mario bros. are replaced with Los Bros Hernandez?
That sounds great, I wonder who the villains would be
