I am absolutely dying for the next installment for this trilogy. Any spoilers or anything you can give me to help the anticipation. I fell in love with your novels..
It’s been a while since you asked, so I’m not sure which series it is–Tumblr really needs to date these questions! Ask me again and let me know which series and I’ll give you a teaser for it :)
Hello, me again, I just wanted to say thank you very much for answering my questions and speculations! I'm a huge fan of your books and just started rereading them for the bazillianth time lol. Again I apologize if I was rude or too frank before. There is
I’m guessing I might have skipped your earlier question? If I did, it wasn’t because I thought it rude or frank–that never stops me from answering :) But I’m woefully sporadic on Tumblr, popping in to answer groups of questions rather than getting them as the come. Sometimes I skip because it’s been too long. Sometimes i skip because I’ve just answered (or am about to answer) the same thing. Sorry if I did!
For this one, yes, I do have a timeline of stories. It’s here: http://www.kelleyarmstrong.com/PDFs/Chronological-Story-List.pdf You’ll find all series on it. The Otherworld is missing Driven and Life after Theft, which both come at the end.

Hi Kelley! I was wondering about the werewolves fur, if a werewolf dyed their hair when they were human, would that transfer to when they were wolves? Thank you!
Huh. Good question. I’ll go with no, not for any scientific reason–hey, it’s werewolves–but because it makes more sense to me that the fur would be their natural hair colour, and I’ve always gone with what logically makes sense.
Hi! I'm rereading The Reckoning and I started to wonder: What about Kat? At the end of Atoning all the project kids are living more or less happily, but in Kat and Hunting Kat it implies she was a subject too. Is she gonna join the group?
i actually intended for her to join the group in The Rising. But then I had the two groups (Maya and Chloe’s) meet up, and adding Kat got complicated. I’d still like to write a novella where she finally does.
How do you feel that in the series they changed Elena's profession to a model instead of a journalist
I think she’s a photographer, isn’t she? It was something about writing not being a….I forget the word used, but I’d paraphrase it as writing just not being an appealing/sexy profession. Hey, it’s a sexy job. I’m…well, okay, I’m up before dawn, with two dogs at my feet, writing in Avengers pajamas, Maybe *sexy* isn’t quite the right word ;)
I just wanted to say you are my favourite author and you never disappoint. I'm always saving up to buy your books brand new because they are so special to me.
Thank you :) This made my week.

So I am wondering about the point of the "Cabals." I read somewhere that it is like supernatural Mafia but I am still confused. Also I am a young writer and I would appreciate some writer advice on how you keep a story flowing and how you reject writers b
The term usually used to describe Cabals is supernatural corporate Mafia. The corporate part is important :) They’re businesses run by and staffed by supernaturals who use their power to gain an advantage, often in a negative way (hence the Mafia part!)
As for keeping at story flowing, the best advice I can give is to entertain yourself first. If I’m not entertained by my story–if I’m not enjoying the plot and the characters–it’s just not going to flow for me.
